Jeez! That's pretty damn freaky. You're not kidding, right?

I'm beginning to get the feeling that the only "success stories" eHarmony produces are the ones they use to make their commercials in an attempt to draw in new users. o_O

... I knew I should have clicked 'yes' on the 'kill your girlfriend' box! No wonder they couldn't match me.

It isn't true love until you move her away from all of her family and friends, then murder her and hide the body.

Yes, I know I'm a horrible person. I'm so sorry.

Never tried eHarmony, but it sounds like it's a good thing I didn't.

Match.com feels like such a long time ago. Although there was no responses directly, the random mixers at least gave an opportunity to meet the person directly. Fun for awhile but they either met beforehand, or were already occupied with someone else.

eHarmony is secretly a program for pairing up all the crazies and getting them to wipe each other out.

To be fair, she was married to the one she loved until the day she died. And really, isn't that all any of us are asking for?

Hiding the body is how you show you really respect her.

Actually trying match.com next. Figure it can't hurt, and at least they haven't arbitrarily declared me undateable. Yet.

"The only successful marriage ends with one of you standing over the grave of the other."

I forget which comedian said this, but it seems to apply here.

First there has to be a long drawn-out comedy of errors as they meet in unlikely circumstances but aren't sure about the other's identity. And at least one nose-bleed. Then they have to wait for it to snow before he can make his confession.

Let's try to have some standards here, people.
You forgot to mention the tripping and accidental groping.

Oh well, it's a good counter for "Nothing lasts forever"

ROFL

Well although I appreciate you people saying that I should leap into animedom and hunt this girl down over 26 episodes I'm afraid it's not gonna happen. For starters, I'm in a great relationship already with a girl I love. And secondly, I can't remember her second name, I know no-one else who knows her (my Mum says she remembers a girl but can't remember any details), and I have no idea where she could be...
Though it's a real shame. We were close back then and I'd like to apologise for ending our friendship like that. Kids can be silly. I'd love to bump into her, laugh about the past and see how she was doing now. Let by gones be by gones I suppose.

Of course! It's the only way to sanctify such a relationship.

Someone's been watching/reading a little too much Love Hina, it seems...

Okay, forget just Love Hina; you guys have been watching too much of the ecchi romcom animes period

...although I'm kinda guilty as charged, since those tend to be my personal favorites

An OVA would have been fine, we're not that unreasonable

Sadly yes, I must confess to owning the anime... It was worth it just for the Legendary Onsen Turtle song, but now I've watched it I hope I never see another harem anime in my life.

Girl I liked and got with last year, got pregnant from her previous BF, I totally got the shaft in that.

However...It's come to my attention that she and her babies dad have split. Perhaps maybe I have a second a chance? Who knows. Either way...I'm going to see where this goes.

Obvious question, are you prepared to take on the responsibility of playing stepfather if that's what she wants? The baby isn't going to stop demanding attention just because you want to have a quiet evening alone with her.

If your answer is "yes" then good on you and best of luck.

RomComs are the only genre that makes you feel all those emotions. At the beginning, its distaste for the main character (generally a male) for being a total pansy. Then its affection, because the female lead is generally a combination of attributes that makes them an INCREDIBLY rare find. Then you start to feel pity, because the pansy utterly fails in the beginning. Then you feel sorry for the female lead when you learn about her past, which is usually always troublesome to some degree. Then we approve the male lead as he gets his shit together, but it wouldn't be a romcom if he didn't screw up, and then we pity him again for his unfortunate luck. Then from his screwing up, new person shows up to steal one of the leads (generally its a guy stealing the female lead), which leads us to hate him. Most of the time, it turns out he was a jerk to some level (stupid prettyboys, can't ever trust 'em), causing the two leads to get back together. Then you see the true chemistry between them really take off, and then they blunder around before eventually a very climactic, and happy, ending.

How can you resist a romcom?

Actually, I'm quite certain she was the one getting the sha--*shot*

In any case, seriously? No. It's one thing to be forgiving and understanding, but it's another to invite havoc into your life because you're lonely, horny and probably a little desperate.
