Anyone get the feeling Brees will jump ship if he can find a way? Those are some mighty killing blows of suspesions right there. Not something I see Brees wanting as a legacy he wants to be tagged with.

As for the Jets picking up Tebow...so they put Sanchez on that big contract and pick up Tebow?!?! What the...Is this to unite the splintered Jets locker room or something? Or to light a hyped fire under Sanchez's behind? Tebowmania in New York is going to inflate this insanity to a level even if you crossed the original Tebowmania with Linsanity.

And yes, we wait for wing's end of the world rant.

It's not really possible without getting traded. And with the GM being suspended, I don't know if they even can conduct any trades. Besides, I think jumping ship like that would hurt his rep and legacy than staying would.

Loomis's suspension apparently covers only the first eight games of the season. I presume he's free to wheel and deal until then.

I'm waiting for the joint prayer vigils between Lin and Tebow.

Apparently the Tebow trade is now on hold due to salary cap reason.

Good god just more reasons for Tebow talk to continue.

Anyways that is unfortunate for the Saints.

Well...he won't sign the tender. How long can they really keep his rights?

Why? They'll lose in the playoffs anyways.

You got to give them some slack though they happen to run into the two hottest teams and later super bowl winner.

But they were not playing when they said the punishment would be worse then spygate.

Well, unless they revoke his franchise tag by... July I think it is, then they keep him until next March regardless of whether or not he signs. Then, if they really want to be vindictive, they can tag him again, and if he still won't sign and they don't revoke the tag, they get him until March 2014. At that point I don't know if he'd still have much trade value, as he'd be older and have gone two years without playing.

Regardless of everything, I do agree with these guys:

Y'don't "asterisk" the Saints Super Bowl just because of this controversy because of many other factors pointed out by those comments.

as a jets fan I really hope the tebow trade falls through. why the heck do we need another qb? O wait, because they are going to try and use him to sell a few more seats and move some merch since this is NY and all..

I wonder if they would try to move him to FB or TE or something that does not involve throwing a football.

So New Orleans can potentially keep him for another two years even if Brees just sits on his ass and he doesn't sign both years?

Green-Ellis has gone to Cincinatti to be their new RB. Meaning New England needs one.

I was never very good at football... whenever we played it during gym sometimes in elementary school I'd spend most of the time confused and unsure what was going on, it's too fast-paced and chaotic a sport for me. :[ Sad times, sad times.

They've been needing one forever actually. Hopefully, things stay that way.
