One of the series I have been most looking forward to this season, and it delivered. I thoroughly and completely enjoyed ep 1 with all it's light-hearted silliness.

The MC (Kobeni) is a very sweet normal girl, and in some ways her normality makes her endearing- at least as portrayed thus far. Her older sister, who practically worships the ground she walks on, is a wacky nutcase. And there is something about Kobeni's fiance Hakuya that is effectively conveyed as kind, strong, awkward and somehow... well... gentle and hurt at some time. I chalk it up to the VA off hand, but somehow he really "works" for me.

Hopefully the series will be able to continue at this pace and not throw itself too off balance with trying to be "too funny".

The MC reminds me a bit of Ririchiyo from Inu x Boku SS, only this girl seems more outgoing. The sister seems to be the resident yuri girl (I hope something will develop between her and Hakuya's sister) and is a complete nutcase.

Surprisingly, I found myself liking Hakuya (the love interest) if only just a bit. I don't usually like this sort of character, but I found it works just find in this series because he isn't the MC. His kindness comes across as more genuine thanks to that.

All in all, pretty good stuff.

I think I like this one the best. The character dynamic works well and the character introduction was sufficient enough. The pacing was appropriate and nothing felt disjointed. I have come to quickly liking that imouto character. She reminds me so much of Rebecca Miyamoto from Pani Poni Dash. There is a tone of authority and bit of wisdom in a childlike way but gets easily intimidated by someone not submissive at all. I'm expecting some greatness in this anime and hoping that it gains more exposure.

Glad that Hakuya’s role here is larger than I thought it would be. Feared for another unimportant sidekick, despite the premise, so yeah... pleasant surprise. And the few interactions with Kobeni were also kinda cute.

The animation was quite impressive for a slice-of-life series like this. Very fluid and lively. The character dynamics seem nicely balanced as well.

Surprise hit of the season.

I too thought the visuals were surprisingly interesting. But then Kikuchi Ai has a track record for distinctive visuals.

That imouto, though - and the performance - wow. That might just be a deal-breaker.

This could be my favorite anime for this season so far. We still have lots of shows to come but this is will be on my bias card for the moment. Too good.

I thought she was the funniest character in the episode, though needless to say I have no qualms about the demanding imouto trope.

I don't know what to make of the arranged marriage stuff though. She's clearly never thought about it and is uncomfortable with it and getting the guy in question to live in the same roof is just adding pressure, so it just felt kinda wrong to me. I couldn't even laugh at the absurdity of it.

At the end of the day, the show is obviously telling us that the MC is going to develop feelings for him but I don't think that ought to mitigate the situation much.

The plot summary in CR has a piece of information that seems to explain what's going on, but it's like a pretty big spoiler to me so....

It was passable because of nice red hair twintails, and that rotten 2-faced big sister. Nothing really outstanding so far, not even the comedy. Here's to hoping the romance and male protag improves. Can see that Kobeni has a potential inferiority complex towards her sis maybe. Though unfortunately, the big sis seems to be used as a gag character so I doubt any serious drama will evolve from it.

Spoiler for question:
Mashiro told Kobeni not to take Mitsumine's power lightly. So I assume despite coming from the countryside, their house has some sort of standing, maybe with the school? In any case, there wasn't any other info provided as to how the transfer was possible.

EDIT: I'm clueless about animation, but I seem to find the characters literally pasted into the background. Could be my imagination.

Humor was a lot better than I expected. The sister in law had some good punchlines. laughed at the "domestic violence already?" line.

The guy seems kind of bland though, hope he actually gets some personality.

Its impressive how some studios are able to adapt such a fluid narrative from 4Komas better than some or most regular mangas with regular full chapters.

So i have my action flick on Nobunaga the fool, now I have my romance/slice of life stuff here. And my fave genre of 'em all (mecha) is back on it's silly hilarious business. Life is good when every season you found just the right anime for you. Now I need some serious/heavy-drama stuff.

Animation wise this isn't mind blowing or anything, but overall it's passable. I've seen worse. Story wise, well this ep definitely gave good impressions for me. I can't really care much on their back-stories given the nature of this type of anime's. I'll happily just go along with the ride. Main male lead is a breath of fresh air. Finally not overly witty (KyoAni stuff; I still like these type of leads though) nor painfully lame (everything else; and I'm just too tired of em).

That one-sama though, HOLY SHIIIIT. PERFECT!!!!!

The magic of anime. The set-up sounds objectionable. The guy is like a piece of wood. Tropes and memes flutter around like autumn leaves. And yet the show works.

I have to credit the anime adaptation (by Shimo Fumihiko, who wrote AIR, Kanon, and Clannad) and the direction (by Fujiwara Yoshiyuki, who directed GJ Club), and certainly the character design (by Kikuchi Ai, who has been involved in shows like Kaiji, Rainbow, One Outs, etc.; based on the manga by Arai Cherry).

But I give a lot of credit to the star, Terui Haruka. This is her first role of any consequence, and she makes the most of it. The heart of the character shines through. And Hatano Wataru as her intended makes the absolute most of his total of 3-4 lines in the whole show. He conveys a stability and good will that give the tatty character some appeal.

The "helium" voice (to quote NicoNico) of Yamada Yuri as his little sister clearly strikes different people different ways, but it worked for me. In her case, too, something humane and charming shone through the seeming amateurishness. That super-high voice is something many Westerners have a lot of trouble with, but many Japanese seem to love (Yamada supposedly patterns herself after Kaneda Tomoko and Yamazaki Vanilla). I was relieved that the character turned out to be much less of a demanding little creep than she seemed at first. That broke the painful cliche she seemed at first to be embodying.

I even liked the elder sister, whose silly lolicon aspect was held enough in check to be entertaining, and was contradicted by her general superiority as a person and her share of the good-heartedness that the show is imbued with.

My attitude to arranged marriages is a bit more positive than it used to be, since I have seen a version of arranged marriage actually work beautifully for the couple concerned. And Kobeni's mother didn't tell her she had to go through with it, but just asked her to think about it.
