Endless and Teru and I spent some time platooned. I missed a game, but we came out ahead for the session (65% for me, 57% for them).
I did note at one point that taking three KV-1Ses out at the same time makes us look like one of those platoons. I got to appreciate how hilariously silly the big 122mm for the KV-1S is... in one game, I totally disassembled a few small tanks with it, then tried to kill a SturmPanzer at point-blank range and missed. I was actually able to reload and shoot again about two feet away from ramming it to death. |

What Endless? You mentioned our KV-1S platoon, and neglected the OTHER triple-tank platoon we did? You know, where our three stugs pretty much rampaged our way through the Eastern Forest at Murovanka? AND we survived to tell the tale? For shame.

Someplace reported that the modern Russian 125mm smoothbore can fire a missile that can penetrate 37 inches of steel.
I thought about that for a momemt. So at 6km a T-80 could possibly punch a hole through Yamato (assuming the missile didn't explode like it was suppose to inside the ship) by going though the first side's belt armor, through the ship, and out the other side's belt armor like the RPGs use to do the Navy PBR's in Vietnam. Of course Yamato could in theory return the favore at upwards of 30km with 18.1 inch shells. Even the 6.1 inch shells would probably be enough from 10km away.

Outgunned Invasion
Two players managed to win by capturing while there were eight enemies after them. This is why you should never give up. |

So these are some of the highlights: KV-1S platoon win. T-34 platoon win. (Well, two T-34s and a StuG.) "Ute likes his Somua." Last edited by Gravitas Free Zone; 2013-02-10 at 14:09. |

Got the second turret on the IS now, and I've got to say it's good to have my preciousssssss back.
And, to my very pleasant surprise, the second turret also lowers the reload time of the 122mm D2-5-T (on my KV-1s the reload time is 13.8s with 100% crew and on my IS it's 13.03s with 94% crew ).

Cool-Headed Königstiger
A defeat, but a very fun defeat. Got the Cool-Headed Commemorative Achievement, and bullied a Type 59 into the deep lake. |

39 defeats 7 victories...
Thats how bad today was for me =/ Took over an hour to get a win in the cromwell even though I was doing alright my teams where just.....useless. Such a frustrating day but I did manage to get an alright amount of XP from my elite tanks that I'll use for the brit TD line when it gets added so hopefully all the pain was worth it.
