thx for your comment... nope it is not harsh anyway, tech sign style can be used for more things not only for mecha or thing like that, and I am working on improving my tech style to maximum... yup, you are right, no connection betwen maiden and tech brushes, but i done it more like a test to see how it would look...
About last thing you said, to experiment and go wild with my making, I am not very for that to do, since when i do it... ermm... better to not say what catastrophy i get in my sign...
anyway, I am gonna try to do some other styles very soon. right now I am too busy for any kind graphic work. Maybe I'll do some more signs thats like Noctis from Final Fantasy Versus that I done, since he is not kind of tech, and from my side of watching looks realy nice...

so you're become a techie maniac nowadays, well it's really cool to see those sigs with tech designs and stuffs, but don't overkill it ok? I also have a habit of overkilling a sig by using swirl and swirl brushes

Just use the tech brushes moderately and in a rightful place and location.... I knew in no time you'll be able to master that style since it isn't hard at all I think. Good luck and dont become a lazy. since it will make you rusty.

@abet17 - my signs would never be WOW signs, since I realy sux in any other style than tech (sometimes even in that). and about that to let my imagination flow in my mind... hmm... I would be afraid to even look in signs that I made like that... in short translation "nightmare and horror signs"

@Patchy - nope... havent become techie maniac, just dont know to use any other style well

Your biggest flaw at the moment is text placement and font choice. As of personal choice and experience, I find that cursive fonts don't really work very well. In fact, make that any 'over-the-top' custom font. They often tend to distract the viewer from the main focal area due to their extravagancy.

If you do wish to use such a font, then the larger the better - but within reason :P The smaller they are, the harder they are to read. That's why I mainly steer clear of them. If there is to be a large amount of text in one of my sigs, (by large amount I mean 3-4 words) I aim to use the same font. Things can get confusing sometimes.

I'll use this sig as an aid;



You've made the flame that the character is holding the 'main focal'. However, the text 'Milan Kyuubi' is really hard to read due to the font. (If I diddn't read that the sig was for Milan before, then I wouldn't have been able to read it :P) Aside from it being in a bad font, it's also in a bad place - it's just too close the focal. If it were me, I would leave the 'Fire in Veins' text where it is, and move the 'Milan Kyuubi' text to around the bottom right corner.

Also, pro-tip; borders can do wonders! :P Hope you don't take this the wrong way! I look forward to some more results XD

That looks like you've just discovered the 'Displace' filter. Am I right?

It looks pretty good, but the filter looks a bit 'overused'. As a matter of personal preference, I only tend to use displace in small doses to add small effects. However, I could be completely wrong in thinking that you used displace, as it could be some C4Ds that I'm seeing.

Moving on, it's a little bit hard to see and concentrate on her face, as the sig in total is a bit chaotic.

However! Kudos for the lighting Very niceley done; you've thought about where the light source is and added a decent amount in, good job. (I'm a bit eccentric about lighting in signatures =P)

Hope that wasn't too harsh,

lol... well you are wrong... I used displace on few signs before but just a little... and also, i added aww 3 or 4 C4D + displace... well thats my 1st sign in this style so it is normal to be little chaotic

anyway, you were not too harsh thx for C&C

and for smudge, well it is sad... I accidently done it and was to lazy to delete layer and smudge new one as well ^_^

The first sig though a bit blurred still good when it comes to colors

@Patchy - thx for comment... well yea i said that 2nd is pure failure... and for 1st one... not my fault, i havent done anything with blur tool, just little smudge (maybe overdo it) ^_^

@Namiey - thx for comment... I am using PhotoShop... well i cant find any nice tuts, so I am all doing by myself...
