Nanoha – One of the three people who saved her from being consumed by the Book of Darkness. She is one of Hayate’s best friends. Throughout the years, Nanoha has remained a valuable and reliable comrade for Hayate and her Knights. She and Nanoha, along with Fate and Keroko had worked together several times in the past and many more times in the future as the exalted Four Aces of the TSAB. Hayate holds great admiration for Nanoha’s inner strength as the obvious heart of the Aces. She assigned Nanoha as the leaders of Stars Squad during their term in RF6; also giving her free reign as a combat instructor for the four prospective forwards Subaru Nakajima, Teana Lanster, Erio Mondial and Caro ru Lushe.
Upon finding and getting to know the initially clingy Vivio, Hayate teased Nanoha; saying that the Invincible Ace of Aces have already met her match. She has once expressed her disappointment that she couldn’t join in on the three (Nanoha, Keroko and Fate) in raising Vivio because she had several administrative duties to attend to as RF6’s leader. She noticed that Nanoha was like a stern mother while Fate was the overprotective father with regards to Vivio; saying that the rabu-rabu couple (Nanoha and Fate), were disagreeing for once.
After the brutal defeat of RF6 at the hands of Jail Scaglietti during September 11-12, 0075, Hayate apologized to the distressed Nanoha and the other Aces once she got the chance, blaming herself for being a failure as a leader and letting Scaglietti get away with Ginga and Vivio. However, Nanoha wouldn’t have any of it, saying that they were all at fault and she still trusts Hayate’s judgment as their leader. Nanoha’s encouragement were one of the main things which helped Hayate keep her head high and remain strong despite the pressure of her failure and the other several pressing concerns that came after.
After the battle against the Saint’s Cradle of Ancient Belka, Hayate felt a redoubled guilt because it was by her orders and mistakes in the past that led to Nanoha’s weakened state acquired after overusing the Blaster System to save Vivio. Again, Nanoha simply refused to let Hayate take all the blame for herself, which was again of comfort but now also an addition to the lingering doubts that were starting to accumulate in Hayate’s mind.
As of GenerationS, Hayate finally had the time to interact more with Nanoha and Vivio. Their friendship is now stronger than ever. However, it is shown that Hayate still blames herself with regards to Nanoha’s weakened condition… She likes teasing Nanoha about her developing relationship with Yuuno.
Nanoha is to play an important part during GenerationS. Though what it would be is to be revealed later.
Keroko – One of the three people who saved her from being consumed by the Book of Darkness. She is one of Hayate’s best friends. Throughout the years, Keroko has remained a valuable and reliable comrade for Hayate and her Knights. She and Keroko, along with Nanoha and Fate had worked together several times in the past and many more times in the future as the exalted Four Aces of the TSAB. Hayate is fond and at the same time uncomfortable about Keroko’s reckless attitude. When Hayate built RF6, she decided to grant Keroko’s request to be assigned as Stars 5 of the Stars Squad instead of a more leading role since she said she wanted to be simply a member of a squadron instead of a squadron leader after leading for so long.
Being the Ace with arguably the least busy schedule in the four, Keroko made it a point to spend more time with Hayate whenever she could, as she was worried since the Mistress of the Night Sky was inevitably being alienated from her, Nanoha and Fate due to being a leader. Hayate appreciated the gesture greatly. Keroko was also the first to know of Hayate’s jealousy over not being able to join in the three and raise Vivio as well, wishing that she was also addressed by the child with ‘-mama’ just like with Nanoha, Keroko and Fate.
After the brutal defeat of RF6 at the hands of Jail Scaglietti during September 11-12, 0075, Hayate apologized to Keroko and the other Aces once she got the chance, blaming herself for being a failure as a leader and letting Scaglietti get away with Ginga and Vivio. Much like her sister though, Keroko said that they were all to blame and Hayate shouldn’t take the responsibility all to herself. Having a number of grave failures in the past as Rogue Squadron’s leader, Keroko could relate the best with what Hayate was feeling and offered similar advice of what many people (including Aurion) gave her during those times. This was of much help in cheering up Hayate and giving her additional determination to move forward.
After the battle against the Saint’s Cradle of Ancient Belka, Hayate felt a redoubled guilt because it was by her orders and mistakes in the past that led to Keroko’s severe injuries while fighting with Neltharion’s powers inside the Cradle. Not unlike Nanoha, Keroko once again brushed it off and said that she was prepared for the consequences of her actions anyway. She still thought that Hayate did well as a leader despite the brown-haired Ace’s reservations. However, this also seemed to make Hayate guiltier inside.
Keroko is to play an important part during GenerationS. Though what it would be is to be revealed later.
Fate – One of the three people who saved her from being consumed by the Book of Darkness. She is one of Hayate’s best friends. Throughout the years, Nanoha has remained a valuable and reliable comrade for Hayate and her Knights. She and Fate, along with Nanoha and Keroko had worked together several times in the past and many more times in the future as the exalted Four Aces of the TSAB. Hayate respected Fate for being a strong individual that strived to save as many as she could. She assigned Fate as the leaders of Lightning Squad during their term in RF6; also giving her free reign as their primary investigator of possible criminals such as Jail Scaglietti.
Hayate admired Fate’s decision of taking in Erio and Caro, but also teased the blond Ace for suddenly becoming a mother. She also suggested that Fate should find a husband, suggesting Kha and causing Fate to blush a lot. When it came to raising Vivio, Hayate stated her jealousy over the other three Aces since she was too busy to join in on the fun of babysitting the child. Jokingly, and as a admittedly silly way to cope, Hayate chided Fate that she was like the overprotective father of Vivio while Nanoha was the stern mother; saying that the rabu-rabu couple (Nanoha and Fate), were disagreeing for once.
After the brutal defeat of RF6 at the hands of Jail Scaglietti during September 11-12, 0075, Hayate apologized to Fate and the other Aces once she got the chance, blaming herself for being a failure as a leader and letting Scaglietti get away with Ginga and Vivio. Yet once again, Fate was another who disagreed with her. Stating that blaming ones’ self wasn’t right, and that they all shared part of the blame, Fate encouraged Hayate by saying that she knew that the latter would make up for her mistakes; and that she trusted Hayate with her life. Taking heed to Fate’s advice, Hayate kept her chin up and organized their counteroffensive to the best of her abilities.
Fate was worried of Hayate after the Jail Scaglietti Incident since she thought that the latter was needlessly blaming herself for what happened to Nanoha and Keroko. She insisted that as best friends, they trusted each other and was prepared to face the worst for each other’s sakes. As one with several doubts and painful experiences herself, she was sure Hayate was just as devoted to those she wanted to protect, stating that she was sure Hayate would have done the same should the situations have been reversed. Hayate agreed. But her guilt was only lessened slightly.
Fate is to play an important part during GenerationS. Though what it would be is to be revealed later.
Kha – (Fill’er up for me, Kha, my brain’s already fried…T_T)
Signum – She is the leader of the Wolkenritter; a cool yet fiery specialist of the art of sword fighting. Just as she embodies much of what the Wolkenritter is, she also exemplifies the Wolkenritter’s unwavering loyalty to their Mistress, Hayate. Despite her perpetually calm and cool behavior, she was also extremely determined to save Hayate from the Curse of the Book of Darkness during A’s. She was prepared to give her life for the kind young girl that helped her recover what she thought she couldn’t recover (or most likely, she didn’t even think she had in the first place), the ability to smile serenely without the chaos of battle…
In StrikerS, she assigned Signum as the sub-commander of the Lightning Squad.
During the last parts of the battle against the Scaglietti and the Saint’s Cradle, Signum expressed much relief in finding that Hayate (along with Nanoha, Rein and Vivio) were saved from certain death by Subaru and Teana. Hayate was rather surprised that Agito was now with Signum, but to Signum’s gladness, their Mistress accepted the fiery Unison Device into the group as warmly as she did when she first met the Wolkenritter.
Signum remains as loyal and protective of their Mistress up to now. In GenerationS, Signum’s resolve and faith shall be tested to its fullest… as the Leader of the Wolkenritter… and as a friend…
Vita – Vita, the Iron Count is noticeably Hayate’s most palpably loyal Knight, going to tremendous lengths and throwing her life on the line just to protect her. As of A’s, Vita was positively besotted with their new and kind Mistress, Hayate. She was dead-set on saving her from the curse by completing the pages of the Book of Darkness; though she also wanted to honor Hayate’s wish of not harming others so she declined from killing their human victims to get Linker Cores from. As the years went by, Vita became more mature and less clingy to Hayate, but remained as steadfastly loyal and protective of her. Hayate was the one who did the best in comforting Vita after the incident where Nanoha was almost killed.
In StrikerS, she assigned Vita as the sub-commander of the Stars Squad as per the request of the Iron Count. Hayate was extremely worried of Vita’s wellbeing after she was defeated by Zest Grangeitz.
As of the battle against the Saint’s Cradle, Hayate in Unison with Rein rescued Vita as she was about to fall to her death after seemingly failing in destroying the Cradle’s energy generator; watching along with her beloved red Knight in her arms as the Core was slowly destroyed by Graf Eisen’s drill bit. When Hayate was rendered powerless and trapped alongside Nanoha, Rein and Vivio when the full-powered AMF of the Cradle going emergency mode kicked in; Vita valiantly fought on with just her augmented strength in a desperate attempt to save them before being relieved by Subaru and Teana.
After Incident (see Sound Stage 4), Hayate gave Vita her heartfelt gratitude for trying so hard for everyone, saying that she along with Nanoha and the others were indeed saved by Vita’s efforts. She affectionately cuddled the small Knight and saying that Vita helps her heart be at ease. Vita likewise thanked Hayate for saving her, and pledged to continue protecting her always.
Vita is now noticeably even more protective of her for some reason. As of GenerationS, there seems to be something wrong with Vita’s disposition, much to Hayate and the other Knight’s confusion. And also, during this arc, her resolve and faith shall be tested to its fullest… as the Iron Count of the Wolkenritter… and as a friend…
Tesla – Out of the five Wolkenritter, Tesla is to be considered Hayate’s closest (in age-bracket) friend and mentor. She was just as concerned of Hayate as the other Wolkenritter were during A’s, with the young and kindhearted girl easily melting thru Tesla’s deep-rooted ruthless and calculating mindset and allowing the Knight of the Sky a chance to experience the joy of living normally and enjoy games of the mind without lives at stake.
As of StrikerS, Hayate assigned Tesla’s as Keroko’s counterpart for the Lightning Squad, serving as Lightning 5. She is also one of Hayate’s advisers in tactical matters. Hayate also helps Tesla (with some mandatory teasing) learn how to cook during the in-denial blue Knight’s development of a crush on fellow-adviser/assistant, Griffith Lowran.
After the Jail Scaglietti Incident, Tesla was the first to notice and also the first to cheer up Hayate as the latter was feeling sorely incompetent and undeserving of leadership due to her several failings as RF6’s leader. With Aurion’s help in alleviating Hayate’s depression and suggestion, Tesla, as a tactical genius and a fellow staff/spear-user tutors Hayate to become a more competent and well-rounded commander, Wolkenritter-style. Tesla was invited to become the captain of her own unit in the Navy, but the Knight of the Sky turned it down, preferring to stay by Hayate’s side. Hayate voiced out her concern of Tesla being held down because of her, but Tesla brushed the worry aside as irrelevant, stating that she was first and foremost Hayate’s Knight, a thing that gave her greater joy than anything else.
Amusingly, Tesla developed a rather stern mentor’s attitude towards Hayate from the time before GenerationS up to currently. Despite her loyalty, Tesla is an unforgiving taskmaster and has at one point erroneously pushed Hayate a bit far during their training, leading to the event that Hayate even had to be confined to an infirmary. Tesla felt incredibly guilty due to this, but Hayate promised her that she won’t spill the secret to anyone to comfort the blue-haired girl. Unfortunately, Hayate’s tongue slipped and Aurion got informed about it. After Aurion chided her about the blunder, Tesla glared at Hayate and sweetly told her of a new (and most probably much harder) training regimen, making the Mistress of the Night Sky tremble in fear. It should be however noted that this was more akin of a friendly slap on the arm rather than anything serious.
In GenerationS, Tesla’s resolve and faith shall be tested to its fullest… as the Tactician of the Wolkenritter… and as a friend…
Shamal – Shamal was and seemingly always will be a motherly figure to Hayate. She was the one who nursed and attended to Hayate at home the most during A’s. Always a source of friendly advice, a warm smile, and a caring atmosphere, Shamal remains as a very close friend and confidante to Hayate up to now.
Hayate tutored the cuisine-inept Shamal be better in cooking, getting minor but noticeable results. During A’s, Shamal was the most apparently distressed among the Wolkenritter upon finding out that the Book of Darkness was slowly eating away at Hayate’s life.
During StrikerS, Shamal was appointed as Long Arch 2, the medical support leader of RF6. She and Zafira were defeated and injured by the combined prowess of the Sentoukijin Deed and Otto accompanied by hundreds upon hundreds of Gadget Drones as they attacked the RF6 base during the fall of TSA Ground Forces to Scaglietti’s initial rampage; much to Hayate’s concern.
After the events of StrikerS, Shamal is the one who senses the most of Hayate’s lingering dejection over her failures as RF6’s leader, accordingly doing her best to cheer her Mistress and friend up. She is extremely grateful with both Aurion Dauer for properly dealing with Hayate’s depression. In GenerationS, Shamal’s resolve and faith shall be tested to its fullest… as the Healing Wind of the Wolkenritter… and as a friend…
Zafira – Quiet and steadfast, Zafira is the least noticeable but no-less loyal Guardian Beast of Hayate. Despite being the most silent and taciturn of the Wolkenritter, Hayate showed him no less care and affection as compared to the others. He is assigned as Long Arch 3, as Hayate’s bodyguard during StrikerS. He and Shamal were defeated and injured by the combined prowess of the Sentoukijin Deed and Otto accompanied by hundreds upon hundreds of Gadget Drones as they attacked the RF6 base during the fall of TSA Ground Forces to Scaglietti’s initial rampage; much to Hayate’s concern. Hayate has expressed her pride at Zafira’s bravery in the face of danger by protecting her and the other Wolkenritter as their shield. In GenerationS, Zafira's resolve and faith shall be tested to its fullest… as the Guardian Beast of the Wolkenritter… and as a friend…
Chrono – Another childhood friend of Hayate and the adoptive brother of Fate. Chrono becomes a very supportive and wise senior officer to Hayate and the rest of the Aces. Hayate develops a crush on him during her early pubescent period, knowing that he was the one who stood up to Gil Graham against his decision of sealing her forever with the Book of Darkness in the past; he was one of her biggest benefactors in that incident. Her infatuation is spurred further by the fact that he dismissed the rationale of her feeling guilty due to the death of his father, Clyde Harlaown, stating that it was not her fault and that the past is the past. However, and unfortunately, she later willingly gives up on him as she sees that Chrono already has feelings for Amy Limmieta, another close friend and was Chrono’s main reason of smiling… She manages to recover from the minor heartbreak and move on seemingly well. She was even one of the people who suggested the names of Chrono and Amy’s children, namely Karel and Riera.
Chrono, as a very popular Admiral of the TSA Naval Forces, was one of the major backers and supporter of RF6. He was also (aside from Genya Nakajima) one of Hayate’s occasional advisers when it came to administration and commanding operations. He proved to be a very valuable friend in the face of all the hardships Hayate had to endure as a leader. He is one of the two people who held the authorization to unlocking Hayate’s limited capability during the latter’s term as RF6’s leader.
During the initial skirmish against the Summoner, Lutecia Alpine, several Sentoukijin and a gamut of aerial drones, he is the one to release Hayate’s limiter to S-rank at the latter’s insistence of joining the battle.
As of the Final Battle, Chrono entrusted the delaying of the Cradle’s ascent to Hayate and her unit. After the successful operation, he was one of the three people who gave Hayate advice about the triviality of focusing too much in an irrational goal. He also chides Hayate about just noticing then that she was like the youngest members in the family among her, Chrono, Carym and Acous. To Acous melodramatic jealousy, Hayate at times calls Chrono ‘Onii-chan’ (Big Brother). Of course, this also affects the young Admiral, making him flinch and get embarrassed.
Gil Graham – Hayate’s initial benefactor and would-be indirect executioner during A’s. His plan involved freezing Hayate along with the berserking Defense Program of the Tome at the right time and depositing them to a dimensional rift for all eternity. Graham had been supporting her financially up until now under the premise of at least giving her a happy life before spending eternity in frozen limbo. Fortunately, almost everything turned out for the better. Hayate’s confrontation later with Graham and the Lieze twins was very tense, partially due to the blamelessly livid Wolkenritter. However, Hayate forgave the old man easily…
Now, Hayate is shown to still keep contact with the retired Admiral living of the rest of his life in Britain. She addresses him as ‘Graham Oji-san’ and still regards him as her primary benefactor.
Dr. Ishida– The neurologist who cared a lot and took care of Hayate during her paralysis. She is one of the people Hayate respects the most, as she refused to give up even in the absence of any foreseeable cure to Hayate’s ailment. She would finish the treatment on Hayate’s legs after the Final Battle of A’s onwards until she is fully healed. Up to now, Hayate still keeps contact with her whenever the chance comes up.
Suzuka Tsukimura – Hayate’s first real friend, and also one of Takamachi Nanoha’s best friends. She and Suzuka met when the purple-haired girl helped Hayate reach for a book that the latter couldn’t reach (being wheelchair-bound then). Suzuka would later on also befriend the rest of the Wolkenritter. Eventually, she would be the one to introduce Nanoha, Fate and Keroko to Hayate, sparking of the ending conflict of A’s.
Hayate (and Shamal) is extremely fond of Suzuka’s large flock of pet cats. And also, Suzuka seems to be the one most familiar and comfortable with the concept of Hayate’s ‘sekuhara’, saying to the shocked Arisa that it was more friendly skinship than anything else.
Carym – A kind and sympathetic woman whom Hayate would later regard as an elder sister. Together, she, Carym and Acous makes up the Ancient Belkan Trinity, a term coined by some people who knew of their traits as the last remaining practitioner of Ancient Belka. Carym, despite her relative youth is a woman full of wisdom and understanding, always able to provide Hayate with advice and/or counsel whenever the brown-haired Ace had misgivings. She, as the governing ruler of the Saint Church and an influential figure in TSAB politics, is one of the major backers and supporters of RF6. She was also the one who prophesized (it is her specific Ancient Belkan power) of the tragedy to come that was the real raison d’être behind RF6. She is one of the two people who held the authorization to unlocking Hayate’s limited capability during the latter’s term as RF6’s leader.
During the Final Battle, she was the one who released the limiters of RF6’s most powerful mages, including Hayate. After the decisive conflict, she was first to notice how Hayate was extremely silent since the operation. She hears about Hayate’s sympathy with the late Regius Gaiz, having similar desperation to protect those which are important to her. She advised her that rushing to find for an answer more often than not leads to pain.
In Generations, Carym, while not being prominently shown, is one of the key plot elements with regards to Hayate’s plight with a person who used to be in Saint Church…
Acous – A caring and charismatic man whom Hayate would later regard as an elder brother. Together, she, Carym and Acous makes up the Ancient Belkan Trinity, a term coined by some people who knew of their traits as the last remaining practitioner of Ancient Belka. Verossa, an admittedly lax individual, usually manages to find time to spend time with Hayate and engage her in sometimes flirtatious, sometimes very sibling-like interactions. Hayate, who calls him by the nickname Rossa, always makes it a point to tease him about being a slacker. However, she appreciates his brotherly displays very much. Out of Hayate’s ‘elder siblings’ (Carym, Chrono and Acous), Verossa is the most touchy-feely of the three, oftentimes patting Hayate playfully on the head where she sometimes retaliates with an equally playful punch to his gut.
He would be the person who provides her with most encouragement during the times of the Jail Scaglietti Crises. And as of after the final battle, she tells her that no matter what thoughts or feelings she had, they would only cause harm if they became too much. He also chides her about still being a kid compared to him, Carym and Chrono. In the Sound Stage, he is shown to be seemingly the first person whom Hayate verbally relates her feelings of being not deserving of the credit for the success of RF6. He then comforts her with cool and rational words, but later leaves with worry as he sensed Hayate was still badly dejected inside and was likely afraid of leading again. In GenerationS, he says in a conversation with Chrono that he held much respect and gratitude for Aurion Dauer, being the person to attack Hayate’s developing depression the best. He has been watching Hayate closely, sensing her renewed determination and resolve to obtain her goals.
Genya – He is Hayate’s mentor/adviser in command school. She holds a deep level of respect and trust in him, despite already surpassing him by rank. As StrikerS goes, he is shown to be one RF6’s supporters and helps out with the investigations with his unit. Hayate is also shown to be friends with his daughter, Ginga Nakajima. Genya has oftentimes expressed his amazement in Hayate’s intelligence and ability in political chess. It turns out that Hayate was also integrating the investigation of the untimely death of Quint Nakajima, his wife for possible links with the Jail Scaglietti case. Genya has a pet name for Hayate, calling her a ‘little racoon’.
After the Jail Scaglietti Incident, Genya is one of the first to hear of Hayate’s decision to return to Special Investigatons and take a break from leading for a bit, stressing her failure as a leader. Genya, being both the most down-to-earth and most experienced commander in Hayate’s list of acquaintances, says that despite having made some painfully wrong mistakes, Hayate was not a lost cause. He even went so far as to tease her, saying that the little raccoon was letting the little troubles get to her so much. He provided her with sound career advice, stating that there was plenty more opportunities for someone like her and that taking a break from leading for a bit is actually a logical choice at first.
Teana – Teana Lanster is the forward/Striker that is most familiar with Hayate. She was also the first (and likely the only) neophyte who bothered to become closer with their unit commander. As Acous and Teana both discussed, Hayate was a person who had tremendous power and had it to control several people and be controlled by others. That said, Hayate would experience alienation and sadness for bearing the burden as a leader. As such, Teana developed a friendlier relationship with the brown-haired Ace compared to most of the other forwards towards the latter. Hayate greatly appreciated it. When it came to asking for info, Teana would always be the one to ask Hayate directly whenever needed since she was the most familiar with her. An example of this is when Hayate related her severe weakness when it came to close engagements during the time Subaru and Alto triggered a Unit-wide forum on who was the strongest mage in RF6.
Aurion – Aurion is undoubtedly one of the most important males in Hayate’s life when asked. She and Aurion first met when Aurion ‘kidnapped’ her for an interview when she was 11 years old. Although intimidated, Hayate amiably answered the stranger’s questions, later finding that she was already relating her entire life to him spontaneously! After the interview, Aurion asked her if anything was bothering her, and she, for the first time divulges her reservations and lingering hurt feelings garnered throughout her two-year employment in the TSAB. He expertly assuaged her doubts and encouraged her with experienced and well-constructed spiels of advice. He soon took his leave, apologizing to Hayate since he wasted her time and most likely made her friends worry. He stated that they would never meet again. But Hayate had already taken a strange liking to the equally strange man, feeling saddened by his departure which was as sudden as their meeting. She asked for his name, but he simply pats her head warmly and teleported away, leaving her in tears of disappointment.
In a strange twist of fate, Aurion turns out to be the head of the Magitech Research facility she and her friends would visit exactly two weeks after her 'kidnapping’. Her shock in finding this out was, suffice to say, quite laughable. As for that week, she acted childishly irate towards the weird man despite his apologies, forgiving him only much later. In the end of their short visit, Hayate got her revenge by commissioning Nanoha (who was willing), Fate (who was reluctant) and Keroko (who was eager) to call him Oji-chan (an affectionate way of saying uncle) when they were saying goodbye. Aurion, who was by then taking a drink, promptly spat out his drink and coughed for a good minute at the sudden act of familiarity, much to the delight of the Aces (maybe except Fate who was worrying if they went overboard…).
Their acquaintance started on tense ground (no thanks to the blamelessly wary Wolkenritter), but later developed into a peculiar uncle-niece relationship. Hayate, much to the amazement of other people, acted like a somewhat spoiled and overly playful child when around him. She developed the habit of calling him Oji-chan after their first visit in the facility he was working in, and has stayed the same ever since. On a side note, Hayate likes how Aurion always pats her head, feeling somehow safe and relaxed if he’s the one who does it.
Hayate felt some sort of freedom to be completely carefree when around him, just like relying on a parent… The only way to describe it for her was that being around him was inherently fun and natural. As years passed, she also learned to have borderline-flirtatious conversations/interactions with him, just for the fun of it. This was supposed to be just for fun, but it backfired dramatically as it started off the rumors about her and Aurion having a romantic relationship, much to her embarrassment and Aurion’s amusement. And as for the latter, being the annoyingly unflappable personality with the twisted sense of humor, humorously played along to the rumor; much to Hayate further embarrassment and the Wolkenritter’s (particularly Vita’s) dismay. She does develop feelings for him; it just turns out to be of the familial sort rather than anything romantic.
That said; Aurion is also likely the most unique personality in Hayate’s list of acquaintances. To put it simply, and despite their closeness, Aurion was incredibly blunt and straightforward when discussing details with her (or any of the other Aces for that matter). He was quick to criticize and point out several things which he disagreed with his customary teasing (and oftentimes derisive) tone. While coming forward as sometimes harsh, Hayate and her friends soon learned how to see beyond his scrutiny and improve upon themselves. He was not the first (and definitely not the last), but was one of the more vocal people in voicing concerns about Hayate’s training as a mage… while he did agree that her case was unavoidably very difficult to deal with, coupled with her busy schedule as someone who pursued a command career; he didn’t like Hayate’s reliance on the Wolkenritter in protecting her, leaving her individual skills in closer ranges uncultivated.
In the ending months of StrikerS, Aurion would ultimately be the one to properly address Hayate’s developing depression over her failings as a commander. He, unlike most before them, actually agreed with some of her misgivings and berated her with several well-modulated criticisms. However, he told her that the problem wasn’t because Hayate was a failure; it was because Hayate was being a failure. He expressed his long-running disgruntlement over her borderline-defeatist mentality and urged her to have more self-esteem and have fewer misgivings over ultimately trivial matters. Because of his rough but clever talking down, Hayate was able to find her resolve and reignite her dampened passion again. After seeing positive results from his long-winded lecture, he made a deal with Hayate; that she would move forward with her life confidently and try out new things if she’d like, and he would see her progress after a year or so and will help her in anyway he can at that time. Hayate gladly accepted, and, finding a new feeling of respect and affection for the elderly man, called him ‘Otou-san’ (Father) for the first time, causing Aurion to react non-too composedly due to the shock. Finding the perfect ‘weapon’ against the supposedly nigh-unflappable Aurion, her mood definitely lifted further and she was able to complete the rest of the term of RF6 with her chin up. It should be noted that the rattled Aurion was fine with the title, but would rather hear Oji-chan instead. Hayate wanted to continue with calling him her father, but he resolutely refused and said that if she really wanted to, he would only allow it for certain rare occasions.
Grandis – A character that Hayate meets in GenerationS. Details are still unavailable.
Lyriel – A character that Hayate meets in GenerationS. Details are still unavailable.
Hahaha......
This was fun as hell to make!
This is my little surprise profile for my comeback after being away for so long due to exams. Absolutely NO ONE knew I was making this!
As it is, this profile is highly subjective in inception but I tried to be objective in most parts. To be fair, I included most of the good AND the bad traits I can find in her.
And yes, I did make her persona a bit darker than what 7arcs may have intended...
But I'm sticking with it!
Comments, criticisms, advice are welcomed...

Me: Hey, I wrote most of it! Wikipedia: I did plagiarize quite a bit from the site. Kudos to whoever wrote the articles there. Lowe:He kinda sparked of the idea. Blame-I mean, thank him! Kha: Another reference. Since he could do Rebuilts why not me doing my own version of it?! Nighty, ark, Tk, Tormenk, Keroko, etc. – You may not know it, but you people gave me lots of ideas. Thanks! And of course, Keroko's timeline and OC's PF: I borrowed some spells from him… Thanks, buddy!
I might steal some more!
I'll deal with the rest of the work later. I'm beat and it's already past 4 in the morning here...
Chrono – Another childhood friend of Hayate and the adoptive brother of Fate. Chrono develops to be a very supportive and wise senior officer to Hayate and the rest of the Aces. She was even one of the people who suggested the names of Chrono and Amy’s children, namely Makoto and Ai.
He even went so far as to tease her, saying that the little raccoon was letting the little troubled get to her so much.
In a strange twist of fate, Aurion turns out to be the head of the Magitech Research facility she and her friends would visit exactly two weeks after her kidnapping’.
While coming forward as sometimes harsh, Hayate and her friends soon learned how to se beyond his scrutiny and improve upon themselves.
As it is, this profile is highly subjective in inception but I tried to be subjective in most parts.

Thanks for your time.
Like I said on IRC about have doubt of the names of Chrono and Amy's children. I just re-listen StrikerS SoundStage 1. They are called Carol and Tiara.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Carim asked, looking amongst the others she spoke with every night. Dressed in her white cloak, her face hidden from others, she lost her identity and assumed her role in this... council. "Pairing the Tempest with the Order has all the recipe of disaster."
"We'll keep them occupied," Yellow promised, and Carim could sense the smirk under his shadow. "Already, they have sent one of their most powerful to that backwater world in order to deal with our... wayward Candidate."
"Sending him to that world was a good idea," Genya/Blue nodded. "It is out of the way, and the destruction it may suffer will turn more eyes away from the abomination."
"Aren't you linked to that world?" The one in green asked.
"Not anymore," Genya said, shaking his head. "I care not for that place."
"If Number Seven doesn't make it in time, should we watch... our backup plan?" Brown suggested, leaning back.
"I would rather not," Yellow replied, cradling his hands in front of his face. "Protocol Eight is our last resort to controlling Omega; I would rather it be kept that way."
There was a simultaneous set of nods. "Sir, one more thing," Carim said, bowing her head.
"What is it?"
"This strife between the Saint Church and the TSAB... will it cause problems?"
"Not as long as this council exists," Yellow said. "Although the separation of the Church and the Bureau would be unfortunate, so long as we exist, we will always be able to direct both simultaneously."
"And the Cleric Knights?"
"They are of no consequence," Yellow dismissed. "They are merely pawns on the chess board. Means to an end. You still plan on getting rid of them after they've performed their last duty, correct?"
"Yes, sir," Carim nodded. "The seals cast on them will kill them once they've performed the mission you would have them do. As you directed, they know not of the spells' true purpose, and only believe that it's a beacon spell."
"Excellent."

She wondered, albeit briefly, how she got here.
Walking down an avenue somewhere in Cranagan, Nanoha walked slowly, limping from a dull pain in her right leg that she couldn't remember where she got it from. Her clothes were haggard and worn, dirty, and her eyes were a dull sapphire. Her steps took her nowhere, it seemed, except, maybe, to her own grave.
It was still whispering to her, infuriated about something and tormenting her with the whispers of dread, promising her slow torture if she didn't succumb to the Infection. Nanoha collapsed. Falling to the ground with a dull thud, her eyes focused briefly on the man that turned her around and picked her up in his arms.
"Vice...kun..." she rasped before falling into unconsciousness.
Vice Granscenic stared at his former superior, eyes widened in surprise. He quickly collected his thoughts and began calling for an ambulance. Nanoha, what's wrong with you?
There was no answer, only the dead silence of a slowly-breathing girl.

"...and thank you for choosing to fly with us. Your baggage maybe collected at Baggage Claim 3C. We wish you a pleasant stay in Cranagan."
Evangeline held firm onto her small duffel as she followed the other passengers off the craft. Many were families of varying sizes either coming for or back from vacations. It was early August after all, which meant schools would be starting up soon again. The airport was kept cool, but not overly so. Walking pass one of the intersections the damage from the disaster a few months prior was still visible. Sections of the terminals were taped off where the debris had yet to be cleared or was deemed structurally unstable. Some places still had black scorch marks from the raging fires along the walls and discolorations were noticeable here and there from where water was used in desperation to douse the flames.
However, the new layers of paint hid most of it well. The old scars were only visible if you really looked. People still milled about their own business, seemingly having forgotten about the incident. The scars have begun to heal, she noted. Even after such a horrible incident humans would continue to move forward. Although it was harder for some...
Her train of thought is broken by a gentle gust of wind. Blinking her eyes, she finds that she had already arrived at the exit. Being a member of the leading military power did have it perks, like free transportation to move her belongings. All of her items should have been delivered to her new place on base by now, which meant she wouldn't have to wait by the luggage carousels like the other passengers. Stepping outside she was greeted by the mid-afternoon sun shining brightly above and the cool August breeze. It wasn't quite as warm as it had been a month ago, but it wasn't too cold as to where she couldn't wear her white sundress. She was glad that she brought her hat to help shield her eyes from the bright light, although she would have to make sure to be careful of those gusts.
Thinking back, this would be the first time that she had stepped foot onto another world. It did not seem all that different than her own, except for the vague outline of the two moons above. She did a quick check of her surroundings before starting her trek to the TSAB base. It was such a nice day it would be a waste to drive all the way there. Plus it would give her the opportunity to explore the city, her new home, a bit.
The buildings were of a slightly different design that those on her world. They were a lot more angular, but still towered high into the blue sky. She noted that the locals also dressed in a similar fashion. Then again, the TSAB had been on her world for a few decades and had been assimilated into their social structure. Though this was a good thing since she wouldn't have to worry about buying a new wardrobe to fit in. Not that she would mind a little shopping...
"Hey there, cutie."
She paused her steps. Three men stood in her path and looked like they weren't going to be moving any time soon.
"Whatcha doin all alone? Would ya like some company?" asked another.
They were fairly well built. All three wore only their undershirts and pants with their jackets tossed casually over their shoulders. Although she couldn't really see the jakcets well, she could tell they were from the TSAB.
"I don't believe it is any of your business. I suggest you head back to duty."
"Pish, we're off for the rest of the day. We don't have to take any orders from some girl."
Her eye twitched, "That would be lieutenant to you."
The three men turned to one another before looking back at her, "A hot thing like you? A lieutenant? Must've had to get into a few bed to..."
"I could report all three of you for sexual harassment and misconduct."
One of them scoffed, "Oh come now. It doesn't have to be like that." He walked over and placed an arm around her shoulder, "Why don't we, uh, show you around and have a good time, eh?"
The next thing he knew he was on the ground clutching his side in pain. His two friends two a step back, "You bitch!"
Evangeline relaxed her fist and glared at the other two, "What? Afraid of this 'little girl' are you?"
The taller of the two activated his staff Device and charged. She watched him casually as she felt a familiar weight disappear from her neck and appear on her shoulder.
Stand By.
"Remember, you attacked first."
She takes hold of the mechanical scorpion and attached it to her sword, "Henshin."
Henshin.
The attacker brings down his staff only to connect with an armored arm. He stares in shock at the green visor looking back at him before finding a purple fist in his face. Behind him, his friend had called his Device and started charging an attack as the man crumpled to the ground.
"Cast Off."
Cast Off.
He gritted his teeth as several armor segments slammed into his body and left large bruises.
Change Scorpion.
The armored mage looked up at her attacker and casually placed her thumb along a segment of panels next to the belt buckle, "Clock Up."
Clock Up.
"Take this you bi-"
He never got a chance to fire as his target suddenly vanished from sight. Before he could process that information, his body was sering in pain almost like he had been punched over a dozen times in a few seconds.
Clock Over.
By the time she reappeared, he had collapsed to the ground in pain with his attack fizzling out. SaSword disconnects and lands on the ground as her Barrier jacket dissipates. She smooths out her sun dress and looks over the three groaning bodies. Without a word she reaches down for her hat and bag. Her Device watches for a moment before crawling over and up her lowered arm and onto her shoulder. A small smile forms on her lips as she glacnes at the mechanical scorpion.
"Let's get going, shall we?"
It doesn't make any response other than resting comfortably on its perch. She looks over into the distance at the towering black structure and her destination: Ground Force HQ.

Nice work! I never Rebuilt the CCs to this extent since most of it you'd find in Wiki.
But this is definitely good, and I think I can use this wholesale for Rebuilt, sans the GenerationS bits since they haven't happened yet, and plus the new Confessor spells I dreamed up for Belka Confessors. >3
...what?! You want me to waaaaht?! I left her history with Kha at home, cos it's so long!!! Uploading it later.

I see what you did there... My only complaint is that I can't think of a GAR enough death for any of the CKs using the latest information, but it's just me.

When you ask a Midchilda what he knows about the Succession War 170 years ago, he will tell you that it was a free-for-all between humans, aliens and every subfaction in between that almost reduced Ordered Space into atoms. The Belka Imperiallum collapsed, known boundaries of sovereignity were wiped clean, even humanity itself was threatened with extinction. By the time the hastily-cobbled-together force of the Galactic Defence Initiative managed to gain a grip on the core worlds 2 decades later, the entire populace had practically sworn off of technology, and warfare in general. In the years that passed, the TSAB would be formed and so began a new era of peace. To avoid a future war of such catastrophic proportions, the TSAB sought, amongst its multi-pronged rebuilding effort, to re-educate the populace about war. Anything related to war was banned; any offending media was haphazardly chucked into the Infinite Library and assumed to be lost for good; weapon research halted and outlawed; anyone deemed "hawkish" were persecuted...
Soon, even the very principles of how to engage in organized battle had all but faded from the people's minds.
But one group was tasked to hold onto to those memories lest they were needed again. Over the years, officers have left the corp and started their own pockets of special units scattered throughout the Multiverse, but they and their successors all recognize their source...
STEEL TALONS
A post-War battalion, the Steel Talons were an experimental task force specialized in field testing cutting edge technologies for GDI's original and traditional "superior frontal firepower" doctrine, before future policies retired the bulk of the organization's walker arsenal in favor of expanded and improved naval-based assets, with an emphasis on the use of mages as a basic fighting unit.
This sub-faction features several war-relics updated to the new rules of the game:
The Titan and Wolverine knightmare frames exist as magical counterparts of their scientific former selves. With their greater Linker Cores and the similarity to the magical signatures of the Belka, their main guns were less affected by AMF and the tiny regiment on Midchilda clung on and helped turn the tide late in the Jail Incident. Even the vehicles themselves can be upgraded with active AAMF countermeasures and in doing so extend the effective ranges of both garrisoned mages and onboard weaponry.
The Steel Talons' variation of the Juggernaut is called a Behemoth. These massive guns on legs have been upgraded with more armor and like the rest of the mechanized force have swapped out fusion engines for Linker Cores, allowing them to deliver powerful and unparalleled ground-based bombardment magics. They also come with bunkers that can be garrisoned by mages, adding more versatility to the heavy hitting force.
In place of the Starhawk aerospace superiority fighter, they have the old Valkyrie transformable walker-fighters with a magical twist.
Modern-era field defence technology were not yet available to all these heavy-hitters however. In their place, these guardian cannons are outfitted Railguns and small-caliber Ion Cannons that run on mana instead of nova reactors.
Minor upgrades to standard TSAB units are also featured: their Combat Technicians are combat-trained and armed with small calibre devices, their Service & Courier Vehicles have a bunker able to carry a squad of mages granting them better protection of their supply chain, and their Storm Raiders are capable of repairing vehicles in exchange for being able to outfit the unit with independent offensive abilities.
For all their sheer prowess in vehicles however, the Talons have no other infantry outside of magical assault squads, battlemage squads, spotter squads and technicians, and lack some of the high-end support powers that are available to the other factions of the TSAB/GDI, like Orbital Bombardment and Deep Strike tactics. They also do not have access to the latest in field defence technology. And lastly, due to their emphasis on "magical but still hawkish tactics and technologies", they lack in political clout and subsequently are seldom assigned any Aces, if not any at all.

Affiliation: NOD Role: Infiltration, Data gathering, Threat assessment, Sabotage, Assassination. Position: Infiltrator Aerial Capacities: Yes IS: Smugglers Pride IS Circle color: Dark golden
Personality
Complicated would sum up Uomo in a nutshell. He has the appearance of a girl, yet has no qualms dressing like a guy. His personality is the same, at times he can act very feminine, yet at other times he acts as one would expect a guy to act. This complicated personality can sometimes drive people up the walls, as they consider him to be a tomboy at first glance, only to find out the truth and get even more confused.
Uomo is also an excellent liar down to the point where his poker-face can make you simply convinced that he is speaking the truth, only to have him break out in a grin seconds later. His bluffing skills are no less talented, and he has gotten out of many sticky situations by letting the opposition believe what he wants them to believe.
Uomo is the type that doesn’t really appreciate stupidity, and depending on his personal opinion of you, he could very well make his dislike apparent through… physical means. Many people have felt elbows in their guts, or where send flying because they couldn’t keep their big mouths shut in front of Uomo.
History
Uomo was ‘born’ in an illegal research facility as a Sentoukijin 15 years ago. Uomo was created as a Legion-type Sentoukijin. While there are many terms and designations for the various kinds of Sentoukijin that would later collectively be called Type-0, the type Uomo was born in specialized in stealth and subterfuge, primarily the art of data gathering and sabotage. When Quint Nakajima lead a force to shut down the research facility, Uomo –who was only five at that time- was one of the Sentoukijin children rescued alongside Ginga and Subaru.
Uomo was taken in by one of the members of the assault team, to be raised as a normal human and perhaps be a potential recruit for the TSAB. What the bureau didn’t know was that the mage who had taken in Uomo was in fact a spy for the religious terrorist organization ‘the brotherhood of NOD.’ The undercover mage had taken notice of the boy’s potential and decided to present him to the brought him to the attention of their leader, a charismatic figurehead known as Skane. Skane too saw the potential, but in a different way then the undercover mage. He decided that the boy would be raised as a member of the brotherhood, but would be encouraged and eventually send to the TSAB academy. This way the boy could work his way into the TSAB structure and gain the full confidence of everyone until the time was ready for him to move into action.
The plan worked without flaw, the boy was raised with a nigh-unreachable loyalty to the brotherhood, and his skills as a Sentoukijin grew each day. While the brotherhood took great care to mask the abilities to counter his IS, and train him in the art of stealth combat, his personal growth was lacking. He received little to no emotional care from his ‘guardians’ so he sought out companions of his own. Keeping in contact with Ginga and Subaru provided him with support in life as a Sentoukijin.
In the TSAB, his role is that of a response team, dispatching in case of an emergency such as criminals being located. Uomo’s job in such cases is often front line, whether it is apprehending the criminals, saving a hostage or following the criminals.
During the Jail Scaglietti incident, Uomo was ordered to aid Jail in any way possible without compromising his identity. Jail and Skane had a similar interest, and the shock a successful demonstration would send through the administered worlds, as well as a sign that Sentoukijin technology was a viable course, would bring a chaos that Skane could well use.
Uomo aided Jail by smuggling Cinque into the facility, as well as disabling the guards and sabotaging back-up generators. Uomo felt extremely satisfied helping Cinque, as he had hardly worked together with other Sentoukijin before.
Device
• Revolver Blade: A non-intelligent armed device, the Revolver Blade is a sister-device to the Revolver Knuckle. Like the Revolver Knuckle it uses a revolver-type cartridge system, and is mounted on the arm, but unlike the Revolver Knuckle, which reinforces the fist, the revolver blade has a blade mounted at the top, stretching over the palm. The focus of the Revolver Blade is piercing damage, rather then the blunt damage of the Revolver Knuckle. It specializes in the destruction of Barriers and the like.
Barrier Jacket
Uomo’s Barrier jacket can be summed up into one word: Scoundrel. Long black pants, a white undershirt and a sleeveles black baggy vest covering it. While it does look somewhat unprofessional, it allows him to blend into a crowd without drawing any unwanted attention. Something most TSAB personnel, with their flashy clothing, cannot attest to.
Combat
Uomo specializes in infiltration; his IS allowing him to slip by security measures and recon or sabotage targets.
When in one-on-one combat, Uomo uses a combination of assassination and martial art techniques, preferring to sneak up the enemy and deliver a fatal blow before they can react, and countering their moves while using the gained momentum to his advantage if he can’t. His main signature in combat is speed, able to deliver a flurry of blows before the opposition has time to raise their guard.
Powers
• Inherent Skill ~ Smugglers Pride: Smugglers Pride renders Uomo invisible to most conventional and magical detection methods, including sight. It allows him to slip past security and retrieve valuable data, plant trackers, and sabotage or assassinate targets. Combat cancels stealth. The IS was named after the mage who became Uomo’s original, a smuggler who used illusion type magic to escape notice while doing his job.
• Revolver Shoot: A standard shooting spell, using Revolver Blade this spell sends a concentrated ‘arrow’ shockwave to the target. Its damage radius is smaller then when used with a Revolver Knuckle, but it’s penetration ability is greater.
• Issen Scichuu: ‘Death in a Flash’ an appropriate name, especially for Uomo. Consuming a cartridge, it charges Revolver Blade with magic, increasing the length of the blade and using a movement increase spell, Uomo dashes towards the target, piercing them before they realize what happened.
• Eisern Dolg: ‘Iron Dagger’ this spell forms several iron daggers which can be launched at the enemy. While these daggers are fast, they cannot be controlled.
• Segeln: ‘Glide’ Uomo’s speed enhancement spell.
• Panzerschild: Uomo’s Shield type defense spell.
• Panzerhindernis: Uomo’s Barrier type defense spell.
• Panzergeist: Uomo’s Field type defense spell.
• Betrogener Anblick: ‘Deceived Sight’ an illusion type spell that allows Uomo to change any of his physical appearances like hair or eye color. However, this spell is unable to change the shape of what it affects, and can be detected by most scans.
• Doppel Spiegelung: ‘Double Mirage’ an illusion type spell that creates several duplicates of what or whom the caster envisions. These duplicates are incorporeal, and will dispel on hit. It is also very taxing to keep this spell up for prolonged time, and does not allow the caster to do anything else but cast.
• Scheinwelt: ‘World of Mirage’ an illusion type spell that works like a combination of Betrogener Anblick and Doppel Spiegelung. It allows the caster to change the physical appearance or generate immaterial objects. This can be used to distract targets by making them see things that aren’t there, like altering a video screen to make it seem like it is asking for a password. However, no other motion can be taken while casting, and due to the double properties this spell is extremely taxing.
...a trap spawned from a trap.
Figures.

Either way, she knew, she would end up as one of them, and that remaining bit of pride she had left, buried somewhere deep deep down, wouldn't allow her to falter without putting up as much resistence as she could.

THAT CLEAR?!
I thank you for your concern, but I've already given Kagerou all the creative licence for whatever he needs, though with the kill count in Alpha, it pretty much is a plot with a completely AU continuation. Besides, its a Halo-esque fic; it doesn't follow the same rules as the original Nanohaverse.
~~~New Intelligence Data Updated~~~
And for those who know it, Night Wizard and Shugo Chara will be landing in the OC thread soon, but it has to start with the Drake Squad.
Right. This bit with Rico and Nova has forced me to take a second look at how I'm making these characters, and I've decided that my current line of thought, having the characters form a band of Outlaw Star-style renegades, isn't as feasible for the general storyline I'd had planned out. Which leads me to my new idea, which I need some advice on:
Instead of mercenaries, bounty hunters, pirates and so forth, this group of characters I'm working on is part of a project by the Enforcers High Command (or whatever it's referred to as) to create a mobile force similar to Riot Force Six, but outfitted with a requisitioned capital ship (probably the Asura, rescued once again from being demolished) and intended to move freely throughout the multiverse, their primary mission being to track down Lost Logia. The problem is that this team is sabotaged by jealous Army, Navy, and Air Force commanders, who respond to the call for some of their best units by sending their biggest washouts: think Nanoha's take on "The Dirty Dozen", or Star Wars' Wraith Squadron. Notable members include Rena Ryuugu, Zero, Rico and Nova (who get upgraded to Ace status and placed in command positions), among several others I still need to work out.
Given what we know of the bureau military, is this a reasonable concept, or is there some aspect of the military I can't think of that would prevent this from working?
Steel Talons were crack, and all focused on Walkers, so I replaced their little fighter with something more in flavor.
Okay I'll drop the Valkyries. Even then, I thought the Steel Talons were a rather OOC subfaction to port, so it would give me some more leeway in the rules regarding walkers...
She wondered, albeit briefly, how she got here.
Walking down an avenue somewhere in Cranagan, Nanoha walked slowly, limping from a dull pain in her right leg that she couldn't remember where she got it from. Her clothes were haggard and worn, dirty, and her eyes were a dull sapphire. Her steps took her nowhere, it seemed, except, maybe, to her own grave.
It was still whispering to her, infuriated about something and tormenting her with the whispers of dread, promising her slow torture if she didn't succumb to the Infection. Either way, she knew, she would end up as one of them, and that remaining bit of pride she had left, buried somewhere deep deep down, wouldn't allow her to falter without putting up as much resistence as she could.
Where was she again?
"Nanoha?" A voice asked her. Nanoha didn't turn to look as footsteps ran up to her. "Nanoha?! Are you okay?!"
Nanoha collapsed. Falling to the ground with a dull thud, her eyes focused briefly on the man that turned her around and picked her up in his arms.
"Vice...kun..." she rasped before falling into unconsciousness.
Vice Granscenic stared at his former superior, eyes widened in surprise. He quickly collected his thoughts and began calling for an ambulance. Nanoha, what's wrong with you?
There was no answer, only the dead silence of a slowly-breathing girl.
To Be Continued
Will post on the fanfic thread when Goose finishes the rewrite he's been doing for like... two weeks.
Woah...what in the world happened to Nanoha?
Spoiler for Arrival:
"...and thank you for choosing to fly with us. Your baggage maybe collected at Baggage Claim 3C. We wish you a pleasant stay in Cranagan."
Evangeline held firm onto her small duffel as she followed the other passengers off the craft. Many were families of varying sizes either coming for or back from vacations. It was early August after all, which meant schools would be starting up soon again. The airport was kept cool, but not overly so. Walking pass one of the intersections the damage from the disaster a few months prior was still visible. Sections of the terminals were taped off where the debris had yet to be cleared or was deemed structurally unstable. Some places still had black scorch marks from the raging fires along the walls and discolorations were noticeable here and there from where water was used in desperation to douse the flames.
However, the new layers of paint hid most of it well. The old scars were only visible if you really looked. People still milled about their own business, seemingly having forgotten about the incident. The scars have begun to heal, she noted. Even after such a horrible incident humans would continue to move forward. Although it was harder for some...
Her train of thought is broken by a gentle gust of wind. Blinking her eyes, she finds that she had already arrived at the exit. Being a member of the leading military power did have it perks, like free transportation to move her belongings. All of her items should have been delivered to her new place on base by now, which meant she wouldn't have to wait by the luggage carousels like the other passengers. Stepping outside she was greeted by the mid-afternoon sun shining brightly above and the cool August breeze. It wasn't quite as warm as it had been a month ago, but it wasn't too cold as to where she couldn't wear her white sundress. She was glad that she brought her hat to help shield her eyes from the bright light, although she would have to make sure to be careful of those gusts.
Thinking back, this would be the first time that she had stepped foot onto another world. It did not seem all that different than her own, except for the vague outline of the two moons above. She did a quick check of her surroundings before starting her trek to the TSAB base. It was such a nice day it would be a waste to drive all the way there. Plus it would give her the opportunity to explore the city, her new home, a bit.
The buildings were of a slightly different design that those on her world. They were a lot more angular, but still towered high into the blue sky. She noted that the locals also dressed in a similar fashion. Then again, the TSAB had been on her world for a few decades and had been assimilated into their social structure. Though this was a good thing since she wouldn't have to worry about buying a new wardrobe to fit in. Not that she would mind a little shopping...
"Hey there, cutie."
She paused her steps. Three men stood in her path and looked like they weren't going to be moving any time soon.
"Whatcha doin all alone? Would ya like some company?" asked another.
They were fairly well built. All three wore only their undershirts and pants with their jackets tossed casually over their shoulders. Although she couldn't really see the jakcets well, she could tell they were from the TSAB.
"I don't believe it is any of your business. I suggest you head back to duty."
"Pish, we're off for the rest of the day. We don't have to take any orders from some girl."
Her eye twitched, "That would be lieutenant to you."
The three men turned to one another before looking back at her, "A hot thing like you? A lieutenant? Must've had to get into a few bed to..."
"I could report all three of you for sexual harassment and misconduct."
One of them scoffed, "Oh come now. It doesn't have to be like that." He walked over and placed an arm around her shoulder, "Why don't we, uh, show you around and have a good time, eh?"
The next thing he knew he was on the ground clutching his side in pain. His two friends two a step back, "You bitch!"
Evangeline relaxed her fist and glared at the other two, "What? Afraid of this 'little girl' are you?"
The taller of the two activated his staff Device and charged. She watched him casually as she felt a familiar weight disappear from her neck and appear on her shoulder.
Stand By.
"Remember, you attacked first."
She takes hold of the mechanical scorpion and attached it to her sword, "Henshin."
Henshin.
The attacker brings down his staff only to connect with an armored arm. He stares in shock at the green visor looking back at him before finding a purple fist in his face. Behind him, his friend had called his Device and started charging an attack as the man crumpled to the ground.
"Cast Off."
Cast Off.
He gritted his teeth as several armor segments slammed into his body and left large bruises.
Change Scorpion.
The armored mage looked up at her attacker and casually placed her thumb along a segment of panels next to the belt buckle, "Clock Up."
Clock Up.
"Take this you bi-"
He never got a chance to fire as his target suddenly vanished from sight. Before he could process that information, his body was sering in pain almost like he had been punched over a dozen times in a few seconds.
Clock Over.
By the time she reappeared, he had collapsed to the ground in pain with his attack fizzling out. SaSword disconnects and lands on the ground as her Barrier jacket dissipates. She smooths out her sun dress and looks over the three groaning bodies. Without a word she reaches down for her hat and bag. Her Device watches for a moment before crawling over and up her lowered arm and onto her shoulder. A small smile forms on her lips as she glacnes at the mechanical scorpion.
"Let's get going, shall we?"
It doesn't make any response other than resting comfortably on its perch. She looks over into the distance at the towering black structure and her destination: Ground Force HQ.
I assume nothing. Unison devices are said in canon to increase the user's control over their own magic. Given that UDs and mages have separate consciousnesses, I think it's a viable option to have the mage and the device split their attentions into two courses of action; say for instance, Nova programs the spells while Rico forms them, or Nova controls the spells in flight while Rico dodges around and engages in melee. At the upper end of this spectrum, you could even have them form and fire two spells at once, though you wouldn't get the benefits of the unison for either of them.
So, how does the above justify allowing the Unison device, the mage, or even a combo of the two concentrating completely on that task, to program 100 missiles in 20 seconds? It is not always possible to use a "mold" philosophy to construct things.
If you can't prove that (and sometimes if you can prove that), your idea is considered Speculative, and its acceptance will be determined solely by its literary balance and merit, which it is obviously flunking.
I have no proof for you save for the fact that it isn't expressly stated to be impossible, which in this thread just won't fly, I know.
Congrats, ark. You've completely raped one of my better character concepts. I sincerely hope you're pleased with yourself, because I sure as hell ain't. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a drawing board to get back to.
Anyway, ask ATC. He even drew diagrams for his Lance Rifle (the firing mechanism, the fire control was completely handwaved). Which didn't stop the h3xxbusting team from halving its speed and quartering its range.
