I have translators, no projects :)
I have two good translators and no projects. I really don't have time to start a new fansubbing group and i hate existing groups. I would like to do some projects but it would have to be independent groups. Like the people that help would get credit and the name of the group would be Anime-name-Subbers. The first project i would like to do is Akazukin Chacha OVA. Since its only 3 eps and its a great series. If anyone has the raws in good quailty and want to help sub it please pm me or something. My translators like old school stuff and will do new stuff if no one else is doing it. Thanks.

If you like old school stuff then perhaps you could look into Cutey Honey Flash. It was only subbed up to episode 24 (out of 39). Curiously they took an old Go Nagai show and rewrote it as Shojo. If you know who Go Nagai is, then you'll know what an oddity this is. If you've never heard of it, then please try to find it.
It would be great if you restarted at episode 1 since it is pretty much impossible to find. Of course, I have no idea where you're going to find the raws, but you don't know where to find raws of Azakuchin Cha-cha either.

Seriously though. I woulden't recomend fansubing without a strong group of people. A good editor is a must as with and a strong encoder. Timing and type setting is also very important. You also need some help in QC and Distro. I'd have said #Anime-Blitz is still sorta open to projects and we're currently lacking translator, but since you hate every group on the internet I dont know how intrested you'd be... |

There is another thread about people talking about subbing an older anime called Sazae-san, it sounds pretty interesting:
http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=728 The original poster might be able to provide raws...though with so many episodes.. |

If you are looking for something to start and like old-school anime then try out Sazae-san. It's an epic (in terms of length) and can provide quite a challenge if you're looking for one. In my collection I have about 900 episodes raw and I'll be getting about 100 more in a couple weeks. In total that's half the series. The most difficult part would just be the 30 year old slang and pop terms used but I was alive and watching the show then so I know everything they were talking about. I'm not looking to get this show started anytime soon, I'm to busy getting ready to move and close my store, but if you're willing to try and take it on I have plenty of raw tapes plus I can help in the translation.

Everyone who reads Shonen Jump is with me on this...
BOBOBOBO BOBOBO MUST BE FANSUBBED I can do quality checking and could probably time subs in my spare time. I am also not a member of any of those cliquey fansubbing groups-- all I've done in the past is work on my own, using my little knowledge of Japanese. E-mail me if you'd like
