is type moon planning to rls knk in hd?
its kinda waste if they dont plan to rls a bluray. i understand that two series they did in the past were in dvd resolution, but with todays technology and recent anime series thats being produce, this movie has potential getting a hd treatment. i still hope a native hd of that series in the future, not just an upscaled sd to hd like they did on fate/stay night.

I don't know, but they could very well release a Bluray once everyone has bought DVDs, like what Gainax did with Evangelion V1.11. They'd have to be idiots not to have made an HD master they could do that with.

It depends, if you have lots of space and some nice LCD HD monitor... AND you think that the quality of the show is worth for it. Why not?

Honestly I prefer to choose the quality of the show first, great animation and HD pictures are only secondary for me

An odd question,

naturally I would say WHY CANT WE HAVE BOTH?

Seriously, what is "better animation" is rather subjective (NOT TO ME but to fans in general) so..um it's hard to say.

Personally yes, I say put more effort into animation, but scince so few people can actually animate even limited animation effectively, it's a moot point. You just take what you can get.

Old Ghibli films are "HD", just like Akira, Jin Roh and Ghost in the Shell.
