I love watching that TV program they put together every year. It's full of funny-ass skits.
Spent my new years watching that with relatives and hand making dumplings and wonton. And a lotta chinese liquor. : ) And then spent 4 hours on the phone with my parents. Anyone here born on a dragon year? |

Happy Chinese/Lunar New Year! I really wish I were at home and not at college right now... I want me some dumplings!
I feel that "Asian New Year" was a poorly drawn attempt at being politically correct while being completely ignorant of the lunar calendar.

Our whole "chinatown" is quietly moving as a chunk to a "suburban" part of town. The funny thing is now that the trend is almost inevitable, the city is just now trying to spruce up the old one.

Happy Chinese New Year, or what ever the politically correct way is of saying it.
heck, I'll just stick to 明けましておめでとう! I am in japan, waiting for China and the rest of Asia to come out of their holidays.... The more international a business gets, the more holidays you encounter, and you start thinking maybe you can spend most of the year on a holiday if you knew where to be at the right time. December was useless because of Xmas and Thanks givining in US. January, the Japanese were not available for the new years. Mid Jan to Feb, the Chinese are gone.... |
