I don't keep track of my post count. I'm only here during J-Saimoe season anyway.

Pretty disappointed with Mami's and Kyouko's losses. Mami could have written history here, and I would have liked to see the rematch between those two.
On the other hand this gives me even more reasons to support Watashi. I wonder if her supporters voted against Mami, because Sayaka might be the potential easier opponent here. Spoiler for Video:

Le sigh, looks like the finals are going to be straight out of my nightmare. Not that I feel like Watashi really deserved to get this far if I ranked her in regards to moe. The top 16 had some decently moe characters and they all dropped one by one to Madoka characters, and now this is the end result. It is what it is, I suppose.
I really hope this ends up being Saimoe's last year, I doubt it could get any worse, but...

80-27 heavily in Sayaka's favor. Whoa, a curbstomp is unfolding.
Naturally, some people might be unhappy with this but certainly not me. Sayaka is performing so well early on, it's like I'm dreaming. Early into the 7th hour, and her lead is getting close to insurmountable from that decisive 1st hour strike. The Semifinals is no place to pull punches anyway, so I'd rather have Sayaka going all out with the support of the now-tiny pool of voters even if her beleaguered opponent is scrambling to put up a defense. Can't get any better than this for me at this rate. Lol, you nailed it. Outwardly, she expresses horror at the mere mention of it, but deep inside it can't get any better for her plans.

Pretty much the expected result. As strong as Kyouko is, she keeps falling short of a championship. I guess it's hard to win when whenever you qualify, other super strong characters automatically qualify as well. Madoka advances to the finals and is a win away from a repeat series, repeat studio championship. I think she'll also be the first champion who wasn't undefeated in the main tournament. I'm not sure if any of the really old Saimoe tournaments had a method of coming back after a loss.

Agreed. Though the tournament itself is now a mere shadow of its former glory, spectators are likely still a different matter... here in AnimeSuki we see that this AST thread which just started existing in June already has 124,901+ views and 600+ more posts vs. 86,933+ views for the ISML '13 thread which has been there essentially since the year started. Even the naysayers still pop back in here from time to time to regularly lament at how far the tournament has fallen.
