Most likely a publicity stunt for Pacific Rim. I won't deny that he will (most likely) like Madoka though.

I've got an update on my figure. When it arrived, the left arm wasn't glued to its connector. A few emails later, GSC agreed to send me a replacement. I expected them to send me just a replacement arm, but they sent a replacement main body as well! Guess it was the picture of the connector stuck in the shoulder socket that convinced them.
Normally, that wouldn't do much. But in this case, there are enough parts for me to put the other figure on display as well! All I need is some glue to fix the connector to the original left arm properly, and a stand. So, any suggestions on what type of glue I should use? I was thinking regular superglue, but I don't know if that will work with this material.

I salvaged the arm and now I have two Homura Y.A.N.A figures. It's a pity I couldn't get an extra Homura stand, so the action figure stand I had stored will have to do.
But first, here's Homura with both magic weapons.

And here's both figures

Only the straight right arm can change hands for holding the bow or the bomb, and I only have one of that. The only way to display both figures is to put the golf club on the early Homura.

And here's all three Homura figures!

I hadn't expected to be able to get a shot like this without getting a new figure based on the third movie. This is so cool.

And in case you're wondering, yes, the special edition Homura is the same body as the regular Homura. I even plugged in the extra arms from the regular Homura to test that.

Getting a defective arm piece was annoying, but I got an extra figure out of it, so it's not so bad in the end!

Those ties are awesome. What I like about those ties is that you can wear them anywhere. They work as just good, everyday ties. The Madoka elements are very subtle and/or hidden, but you as the wearer will know they're there, and that's what counts.

Great way for a Madoka fan to look sharp and celebrate their fandom without standing out too much. Great idea by whoever came up with these ties.
