There is no anime for it (yet?), though I could definitely see it working as an anime. With all the projects out there these days, I guess I'm not sure how much chance a boxing-themed romantic comedy has of getting picked up, but it could happen. The straight answer, though, is no.

Well, there's the Japanese Drama : To Heart

Boxing is more of a minor theme of Open Sesame.
There can be several volumes where boxing is not even mentioned.
While I don't dislike the series, I feel that it's getting draggy.

Especially when...

• Talk about beating around the bush. At first I was intrigued by the lost memories, then it became somewhat exciting when they visited Nami Island, now I just get angry and frustrated everytime the topic is brought up and not resolved.
  
  If Mogami was male, and I was the protagonist, I would have decked Mogami already and ask the moron to quit being a zipper-mouth and spill the beans already. My kitten-killing instincts flare up everytime the mangaka opens up the issue, but pulls the rug out in the end.

• Aoi has not been appearing in the recent volumes. Poor girl. She was more or less dead out of the running from the start. I fully expect her breakdown to be epic when Danjou rejects her.

• A lot of the romance development is very cheesy, but that's okay, because cheese is good for the soul in moderation.

It's not the bush-beating that caught my attention in Open Sesame. Heck no! I just happen to like the main male protagonist. He is actually a believable character, and someone I can cheer for. Although I do wish they cut down on the "tripping" scenes. That joke got old real fast.

If all the relationships turned into a soap opera, I think I will run screaming. It's good to have straightforward romance to balance things out.

Heh. The manga started harem-ish, and in the latest volumes its down into a triangle. I pity Aoi, she better get her heart broken soon else she will have a kaede-like breakdown.

The only thing that keep me interested in this manga is what really happened 10 years ago. What happened to that other guy did he die?

I don't think they have ever explicitly stated whether the guy is dead or not. For all we know, he could have left the island once that project was done as well. There is something to do with the fire though, so that could be a possibility.

When she went back to Nami Island, the old man had asked her if she has met the other guy since the incident 10 years ago, and she says no. This hints that he is quite still alive. He thereafter thinks to himself that she is still completely misunderstanding what happened 10 years ago between her, Danjo and other guy, and that Danjo is not at fault for whatever it is that occured.

Speaking of the manga... scanlators are taking their sweet time, I am growing grey hair

I just got into this manga, it's not bad, reminds me of a cross between love hina and ichigo 100%.. Yeah i agree they are dragging things on for too long and keep introducing new characters..... Although i can see Mogami and Danjou's relationship develop a little bit by bit as each new girl/challenge is introduced so i think the character development is slow but good.

In fact i feel the character development between danjou and Mogami to be quite believable and looking back at how much Mogami's attitude has changed since the first meeting i feel at least this aspect of the manga ain't that bad.

Oh and holyman, this isn't ichigo crossed with Love Hina, it's Kigmarue Orange Road where Hikaru changes every few chapters.

I'm really enjoying this series and I like the progression... But there had better be some REALLY BIG revelation to be worth suffering through Mogami's pigheadedness over not telling Danjou about their past together...

I've also noticed something while reading the manga, has anyone noticed that Mogami's signature two little eyelash sticking from both her eyes are gone in the most recently scanlated manga. Has the mangaka decided to leave those curly eye lashes out? If they did i reckon it's a good choice cause she looks better without it.

Just got into this recently and have to say not bad at all. A very nice and big cast of characters, with as Skane says some cheesy romance, everyone loves abit of cheese
Like some say they are beating around the bush at times with the memory thing.

As much as I see a DanjouXMogami happening, I'm actually really wanting to see a DanjouXShino come about. She comes back and steals his heart and they live happily ever after I would actually love this type of thing to happen as it never happens!

this I have to say is a really enjoyable manga to read, even if it can drag at times but I can live with that as its a good story.
