Many people did talk about Vietnam vets that way in the U.S. -- I agree, it's a horrible thing, but it's sadly grounded in reality. Many people's first reaction to military loss is to point the finger of blame at the nearest possible target.

While the first part was an amazing badass episode abut Levi, the 2nd part was depressing since not only Levi was forced to get rid of Petra's body to save the rest, he gave up Petra's badge to Dieter claiming it was Ivan's and was putting up a face with Petra's father who is in joy that his daughter is thinking about getting married.
And Eren receives a dejavu on how the people berate the Corps only this time from the Corps POV.

Some further thoughts after watching the episode. Erwin has returned and now has time to examine what happened on the expedition. If I'm right, he should have a good idea who at least one of the traitors is. During the expedition, he told different new recruits different locations for where Eren is. Analyzing the attack pattern of the Female Titan's attacks should narrow down who it is.
Now, what is going to do with that information? I don't think he will arrest him right away. Most likely, he will have some people tail the suspect(s) to gather more information. I still believe that the trail will somehow end back towards the military police. The fact that Eren is taken there, and they have been portrayed in such a negative light, all trails lead to them as the likely participant in whatever is going on. I still think they will eventually continue the journey with Eren towards the basement, once they get him out of the MP's hands. However, if they end up meeting Eren's missing father, that could change things a bit. He could reveal to them things that could alter the course of action.

How is Levi so fast!!!!? Recon Corps thread now feature L-E-V-I in the title. The speed was taking a toll on his body. Curiously enough, the female titan had some tears running down her eye! Intriguing. I still got to watch the remaining 12 minute some time later.....

I feel like that automatically earns him a valiant, yet very gruesome death (maybe not in this season.. but hes got it coming to him). Also, not bad fillers, but they couldve done it without the crying, except for the FT of course.

Well, when it comes down to the lack of results... they're kinda right. Honestly, the Scouting Legion is performing a bit badly. There's only so many times one can watch dead soldiers come back without any practical result before wondering what the hell is the point. In fact, if it wasn't for the sake of the plot, it would be incredible that they still HAVE a Scouting Legion after 100 years.

Good episode overall, but the Mikasa x Levi vs FT fight was so poorly animated compared to the previous episode that I can't deny a little disapointment considering the hopes I put for this scene. It was also way too short, I expected a lot more Mikasa x Levi screentime. The filler was pretty good, considering how reluctant I usually am about this. I found this episode entertaining overall with human emotions well depicted, but I still feel that the animation studio got a little lazy on some aspects...
