"I fight for the men I've held in my arms, dying on foreign soil. I fight for their wives and children, whose names I heard whispered in their last breaths. I fight for we few who did come home, only to find a country full of strangers wearing familiar faces! I fight for my people, impoverished to pay the debts of an Empire to weak to rule them, yet brands them criminals for wanting to rule themselves! I fight so that all the fighting I've already done hasn't been for nothing! I fight... because I must."
"Your words give voice to that which we all feel Ulfric. That is why you'll be High King. But the day when words are enough will be the day soldiers like us are no longer needed." "I would gladly retire from the world, were such a day to dawn." ~On the Stormcloak Rebellion, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

True words.
Let me continue: "All things are subject to interpretation. Whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth." - Nietzsche "Power is not an institution, and not a structure; neither is it a certain strength we are endowed with; it is the name that one attributes to a complex strategical situation in a particular society.” - Foucault Power precedes (creates?) knowledge. Your quote reinterpreted: If there is no power, there will be no knowledge. |

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die. -Mary Elizabeth Frye One of the few poems I like and my favorite of all time

My favourite quote is my signature. I was inspired by a book character and loved that quote. She says it at some point in each of the books. The dialogue implies it. The quote is "Then you should have never been born" Obviously she says it after the person she is about to kill begs for his life. I used lelouch instead of her beacause she is a book character.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.
- John Rogers (comedian) Nothing against Ayn Rand's philosophy. I was simply amused by this.
