Okay, me again. I know I said I'm not going any further, but I couldn't help it...

So here's volume 5, chapters 1-4

Spoiler:

We start with Nobukatsu, who is still cross dressing even though he's back in Oda territory, moping over Nagamasa to MC. He also sees the difficult atmosphere between the MC and Nobuna thanks to that little incident with Katsue (grope and got catch in the act by Nobuna) and vowed to help them get together.

Now comes Mitsuhide. Remember last volume when she misunderstood Nobuna and thought she was commanding her to marry the MC? Well, she's really getting into it, showing up at the MC's place in a wedding kimono and doing the bowing thing with 3 fingers touching the floor and declaring that they'll be married (yep, Mitsuhide is now fully dere for the MC) and talking about the love nest she'll be building for them (last volume. I didn't cover it, but Nobuna had ordered Mitsuhide to go construct a castle at some location to connect trade routs i think? It was originally supposed to be MC's reward, but after that thing with Katsue... Yeah...).

Over at Nobuna, Nobukatsu convinces her to repair the relationship between Nobuna and the MC. Of course, anime timing happens and she comes in right in the middle of Mitsuhide declaring about how she's the MC's wife and their new love nest. That Mitsuhide misunderstood Nobuna and thought she was ordering the marriage between her[Mitsuhide] and the MC does come out, but before Nobuna could clarify and calm down, Mitsuhide also asked the MC to "take responsibility for touching my naked body and stealing my lips" (last volume, Mitsuhide had to perform CPR to revive MC and then directly shared body heat to warm him up). MC had no idea what's going on, and Nobuna's apoplectic, disbanding his troops, busting the MC back to foot soldier, and kicking him over to Ise (a more remote province I think?).

Turns out this is part of Nobuna's strategy. Now we're introduced to the final member of the Oda family's 4 great generals (Katsue, Niwa, and Mitsuhide are the other 3), Takigawa Kazumasu. When Oda was forced to retreat due to the Azai-Asakura forces last chapter, Kazumasu should have sent help, but she didn't. However, there's no way Nobuna can ask about this without damaging their relationship, so instead, she's using the MC. Plus, with him no longer general of an army, if he goes and asks about it it won't be "accusations of disloyalty" and "demanding answers", so he'd be able to get answers without souring the relations between Nobna and Kazumasu.

MC goes to Ise and gets caught by pirate, all of them girls. He gets brought to a ship where he faces Kuki Yoshitaka (the 27 year old 2nd in command who seems to have a complex about being a Christmas cake) and Kazumasu (a sadistic little girl who looks identical to the head miko in Kyoto). Kazumasu doesn't want to send forces to help against Takeda (her skin'll get ruined on land?) but relents if the MC does a few things. There's an island nearby that's been taken over by foreigners (particularly a church knight patrolling the beach), and the MC has to chase him out. The MC goes and manages to last against the knight thanks to super dodging skills (I think the knight eventually tired out due to having to fight in heavy armor). Then a young bishonen priest comes from the island and calms the situation down (The knight is revealed to be a beautiful Italian girl with red hair then). I can't figure out what their romanji names are from the Chinese, so I'll just call them Priest and Knight for now. Turns out the whole thing was a misunderstanding: The supposed fortifications and defenses on the island turns out to just be decorations the Europeans put up for a Christmas celebration, and the Europeans thought that Kazumasu's people were marauding pirates coming to kill them all. With the misunderstanding cleared (plus it turns out they knew Francis the nun, and with news that Nobuna is not oppressing Christians, they decide to join Oda's side).

With that clear, Kazumasu will send aid against Takeda on one last condition, she gets to ask the MC one question while touching his head after they win (it's revealed earlier that Kazumasu has the power to make someone tell the truth by touching them on the head, which she demonstrated by making Kuki admit that she actually likes young men and is something of a shotacon earlier).

On the battle, Takeda's focused her forces to take down Matsudaira first, and she's being badly outmatched thanks to Takeda's navy coming down the river. The navy gets checked by Kazumasu's pirate forces however, and the MC units with Matsudaira to try and repel Takeda. The MC tries to draw on history to figure out how they can force the Takeda forces back, and the only things he remember is that Takeda Shingen supposedly died due to sickness, which forced them to retreat. There's also rumors that he was instead assassinated. The MC decides to go incognito to Takeda's camps to figure it out. Kazumasu joins him (she's apparently also a ninja).

They reach a hot spring and decide to disguise themselves as local hunters that stumbled across it. Meanwhile, Shingen Takeda got out of her armor, had her twin sister pretend to be her, and went off incognito to get a good soak in at the hot springs. The MC with Kazumasu meets Takeda and their cover was blown rather quickly.

They don't fight though, mostly due to the MC being mesmerized by Takeda's rather impressive bust. They talk quite a bit, and under the influence of "I have boobs, you must obey", the MC reveals Takeda's future, how she dies due to sickness or assassination, but since she doesn't look sick at all...

Takeda hears this and decides to conquer her fate with her own power. That night, she fully prepared herself for an assassination, which came in the form of that guy who tried to assassinate Nobuna via sniping in volume 3. She blocks the bullet with an iron fan and catches him with her sword.

Since Takeda did not die, the Takeda forces did not retreat and Matsudaira is in trouble. She gets outmaneuvered at every turn and the Takeda cavalry wrecks her forces. She eventually gets pushed out of her territory, but I'm not entirely sure about the events there...

I think it ends with the MC and co preparing to defend Mino, which is Takeda's next target? There's also some preparations about getting Kazumasu's cannons for the defense? Nobuna and her forces are busy fending off Azai-Asakura elsewhere, so the MC and his group are mostly on their own...

And that's the last of my summaries, period. Unless someone can find me a Chinese translation of the rest of volume 5 (I can't find anymore on the lightnovel Chinese site), this is as far as I read for Oda Nobuna no Yabou. I'll be eagerly awaiting any further spoilers, summaries, or actual translations eagerly with everyone else.

Tha weird. Either they are included in the novels or before/afte the afterword. Unless you download it as text version. If it's the case, you shouldn't expect them.

I guess it really depends on the author's notes then, most author's will hint or outright state what's going to happen in the relationship department. DxD's author (Ishibumi) for instance, has more or less outright stated it's going to be a harem (in one or mroe of the author's notes), it's only dependent on how long it takes for Issei to develop (deeper) romantic feelings for the others...

Ikkō-ikki rebel were also instigate by the Hongan-ji, the head monastery at time, once Hongan-ji was destroy the rebellion never occurred again afterward for the Maeda Clan who was later given that area to govern.

Lastly the annihilation of Iga-clans, again that was because the Iga-clans refused to surrender and takes arm.

While all these thing are still terrible, they are not uncommon in the period, Takeda, Uesugi, etc. all had done things similar to these. Heck, Takeda was known to use the capturde peasants as mine slaves and prosititues.

People tend to forget that as time of Nobunaga, those who were under his rule had the highest living standard compare to those of other Daimyo and that after he united his clan, almost none of his retainers that followed him since Owari/Mino time ever betrayed him when betrayal was common place during that period.

I even gave his brother a second chance, many people forget that Nobuyuki rebelled twice. First time Nobuyuki had the advantage with the support of most retainers as well as the main Oda family. Nobuyuki was put down and Nobunaga earned the retainer's royalty, then Nobuyuki tried to assassinate Nobunaga literally forcing Nobunaga's hand.

Again, some scholar concluded that when looking through historical records, you'll notice that the none of the records at time, showed anyone to speak ill of Nobunaga's rule. There are record saying he was moody and quick to temple, but at same time he was a just man. All the records that speak directly ill of him all comes during Edo Period after Tokugawa establishes his Shogunate. So take what you will.

Now if only the MC could stop getting into compromising situations with other girls and pissing her off... Hanbei - Fallen for the MC in volume 2. She cares for the MC a lot, but I don't think there were all that many fanservice scenes with her so far. Well, there was this bit in either the end of vol 4 or near the start of vol 5, but mostly, she shows her feelings more through "devotion" rather than full blown romance/fanservice. Mitsuhide/Jubei - Started slowly falling for him in vol 3, but wasn't truely confirmed until vol 4. Come vol 5 and her little misunderstanding, she's in full blown good wife mode. I look forward to seeing how this will develop. I'll be conservative and draw the line here. The rest of the females of Oda do have some amount of affection for him, but again, I'm going to be super conservative and regulate their affection levels to that of friends and family for now... In it, when Nobuna got to the part where she's getting married to the MC, there's one particular bit in there. Everyone in the dream were congratulating them on the marriage. One thing that stuck out to me was Hanbei, where she admitted her loss to Nobuna and instead wanted to settle for being a concubine. Do note that it's supposed to be Nobuna's idealized dream. The fact that she expected Hanbei to ask to be a concubine in the dream is itself telling of her expectations, I think. I'll just leave things there, make of it what you will

On the battle, Takeda's focused her forces to take down Matsudaira first, and she's being badly outmatched thanks to Takeda's navy coming down the river. The navy gets checked by Kazumasu's pirate forces however, and the MC units with Matsudaira to try and repel Takeda. The MC tries to draw on history to figure out how they can force the Takeda forces back, and the only things he remember is that Takeda Shingen supposedly died due to sickness, which forced them to retreat. There's also rumors that he was instead assassinated. The MC decides to go incognito to Takeda's camps to figure it out. Kazumasu joins him (she's apparently also a ninja). They reach a hot spring and decide to disguise themselves as local hunters that stumbled across it. Meanwhile, Shingen Takeda got out of her armor, had her twin sister pretend to be her, and went off incognito to get a good soak in at the hot springs. The MC with Kazumasu meets Takeda and their cover was blown rather quickly. They don't fight though, mostly due to the MC being mesmerized by Takeda's rather impressive bust. They talk quite a bit, and under the influence of "I have boobs, you must obey", the MC reveals Takeda's future, how she dies due to sickness or assassination, but since she doesn't look sick at all... Takeda hears this and decides to conquer her fate with her own power. That night, she fully prepared herself for an assassination, which came in the form of that guy who tried to assassinate Nobuna via sniping in volume 3. She blocks the bullet with an iron fan and catches him with her sword. Since Takeda did not die, the Takeda forces did not retreat and Matsudaira is in trouble. She gets outmaneuvered at every turn and the Takeda cavalry wrecks her forces. She eventually gets pushed out of her territory, but I'm not entirely sure about the events there... I think it ends with the MC and co preparing to defend Mino, which is Takeda's next target? There's also some preparations about getting Kazumasu's cannons for the defense? Nobuna and her forces are busy fending off Azai-Asakura elsewhere, so the MC and his group are mostly on their own... And that's the last of my summaries, period. Unless someone can find me a Chinese translation of the rest of volume 5 (I can't find anymore on the lightnovel Chinese site), this is as far as I read for Oda Nobuna no Yabou. I'll be eagerly awaiting any further spoilers, summaries, or actual translations eagerly with everyone else.
