The more I read this the more tempted I am to make a fic with an OC as Ichika's bodyguard. Any attempts to harm him will be countered flawlessly, whenever and wherever.

To some degree yes, how much are released give different result... and risk

For example, most human only use 20% of their muscle power at a time, with occasional 'burst' up to 60% power in dangerous situation.

This is because at full power, human muscle will tear the tendon and crack the joints, not to mention effectively burn itself to death.

Hormonal and impulse control

As the 'small' damage piling up, yes. But not 'anime god took your life x year each time you used this' kind.

For example, this can be found in many, many deaths of rugby/football athletes. Close examination of their heart will reveal many 'invisible' scar that caused cardiac arrest at relatively young age of 50-60.

Removing limiter might also result in permanent injury, depending on how advanced the medical science at the time.

Looking at the live video feed provided by one of the many recon drones, I’ve noticed one thing about what’s going on within IS Academy.

“It seems that the most heavily traffic areas are around the school buildings, dorms, cafeteria, arenas and training field.”

While I’m looking at the video footages, Ratchet, Sideswipe and Scourge are looking at the holographic image lying out IS Academy; also provided from the recon drones.

“Which is obviously over half of the island…”

“Yeah. So much for doing the testing and training in peace.”

“Oh come on guys, at least we won’t be pestered by all of the countries.”

As we’re scouring over the data from the recon drones reconnaissance, Tezla entered the lab.

Using IS Academy as a testing grounds for the Silverbacks was something was what we least expected from him.

Now that the world knows about this, I got another thing on my mind.

“Anything about the move, Tezla?”

“I’m still working on it, Eric. But right now I’ve got some things to tell you.”

“Like what?”

Tezla sat down close to us the moment we’ve turned to him.

“Well, it’s about the IS Academy students. There are some things that you should know about them before we head to IS Academy.”

“Hmm…”

Judging from how firmed Tezla sounded, he must have known some things; most likely from being held captive by Phantom Task.

“For all we know, they’re IS Pilots in training.”

“That’s basically the generalization of the student body, Brian. But there’s more to it…”

Tezla shut down the holographic image of IS Academy that’s in the center of us.

“Among the trainees in the student body are a mixture of higher level IS pilots, but not up to the elite stage. It’s true that an IS Pilot is among the world’s elites these days. And there are IS Pilots out there who are actually above the elite.”

“Above the elite? Hold on.”

I cut in to make sure that I heard what Tezla said was exactly what he just said.

“You’re saying that there are some IS Pilots out there who are stronger than the special armed forces?”

Without hesitation, Tezla gave an immediate response.

“Yes…”

He adjusted himself on his seat to get himself more comfortable.

“Actually, to be more specific about it, there are multiple levels of IS Pilots; and the students in IS Academy are of no exception.”

Even the students are a part of it?

Thinking about that in my head, Tezla continued on.

“First, is an IS Pilot Trainee; the lowest level of all IS Pilots. The vast majority of IS Academy’s student body is comprised of them. The one key note about them, is that they’re civilians who have the potential to become IS Pilots. Even though they’re considered as IS Pilots, they’re in the basic stages of their training. At this level, it’s virtually no problem for a Navy SEAL or Army Ranger to subdue. The problem is the next level…”

Hearing that last sentence, all of us blinked while keeping our attention on Tezla.

“This level of IS Pilots are the Representative Candidates. There are fewer of them compared to the IS Pilot Trainees, but these pilots have their own personal IS, given to them from their country’s government. And they’re much better fighters; both in and out of their ISes. The six IS pilots you’ve fought during that Rogue IS incident are of this level. To say the least, their strength is of that of a Navy SEAL and Army Ranger put together.”

“So they’re somewhat equal to us?”

“That’s to say the least, Eric. Some other Representative Candidates may say otherwise.”

Cutting off his words for the short moment, he adjusts himself in his seat again, before resuming.

“And finally, there are the IS National Representatives; the highest level of all IS Pilots. They’re very few of them around the world; with each country having one National Representative. And they’re chosen from a pool of Representative Candidates. But I’ll have to give it to you straight…”

Tezla’s face made a serious look as he paused.

“The grim truth is, that these National Representatives are far stronger than that of a Navy SEAL and an Army Ranger put together.”

!... National Representatives are far stronger than them?

For Thunder Crash’s basic training, we were trained by active veterans from two of the world’s best special armed forces.

Using that as a comparison on where we stand to the National Representatives… This is not good…

“And exactly how many National Representatives are in IS Academy is unknown. Considering that we’re going to an island that has 400+ IS Pilots, things are probably going to get hairy for our testing.”

And as if the countries around the world are bad enough. After hearing about the levels of these IS Pilots, the best thing for us to do while we’re at IS Academy is to stick together. We don’t know what those girls will do while we’re there.

And here's the scene I would like your thoughts on.

Ratchet's smartass remark didn't even make Tezla flinch.

"Even though there are some who are students in IS Academy, there are some that you should to keep an eye out for."

Sideswipe began to look around; first towards me, and then Ratchet and back to Tezla.

"Keep an eye out for those who can be a threat to your well being. That's one way of putting it."

Tezla put up 5 images of young teenage girls in a single row.

"These are pictures of 5 students who are atleast IS Representative Candidates. You might recognized 4 of them though..."

I sternly stared at the 5 images and immediately recognized 4 out of the 5. And so did everyone else.

"Well that's just great..."

"What are the odds of it being them?"

"There goes our well beings..."

Before I can raise my own input about those 4 girls we recognized, Telze resumed explaining.

"I just had to do some digging about these pilots from that incident at Ishiyama. And with some help from a small group of Recon Drones I programmed to specifically gather data about them."

But I don't remember seeing one of them at Ishiyama.

"How did you get an image of the light blue-haired? She sure wasn't involved with the incident."

"I got it from that small group of Recon Drones I programmed. And more, which I'll show you in a bit."

Tezla faced the images he displayed before continuing.

"By the data I got from my own research, these 5 students are Representative Candidates of 5 different countries. From the left; From England, Cecilia Alcott. From China, Lingyin Huang. From France, Charlotte Dunois. From Germany, Laura Bodewig. And from Russia..."

A very stern glare was on Tezla's as he looked at the image of the light blue-haired, red-eyed. Seeing that look on his face, it seems there's something about her that's troubling him.

"Why did you stop? What's wrong with Russia's pilot?"

Tezla turned to us while he answered.

"Her personality conflicts with her current position as an IS pilot and a student in IS Academy. I even have some data from the Recon Drones to show you in case if you don't believe me."

Ratchet had a slight look of curiosity on his face as he's looking at the blue-haired.

"How so, Doc?"

"Her personality's like that of being 'playful' to say the least. Despite her current position in IS Academy is Student Council President; the strongest student in the whole Academy. Even though she's an IS Pilot to watch out for, she's going to come into contact with us from time to time on the technical terms between us and the Academy."

When he finished explaining, the 4 images moved back and another holographic screen appeared.

"Here..."

The camera view is from a Recon Drone that's following Ichika. After walking a short distance inside one of the Academy's buildings, he went through a door with a plaque reading Locker Room (ロッカー ルーム). As the door closed, the drone had stopped in front of it.

"This is some of the audio recordings I got from the Recon Drones."

"..."

Right when we turned towards the holographic screen, we heard a familiar voice from that incident at Ishiyama.

"It's such a waste to have so much space..."

"..."

"Guess who?"

"..."

"Okay, time's up."

"...Who are you?"

"Ufufu."

What the hell's going on in there?

"Are you—"

"Ah. Fooled you♪!"

*Pa.*

"Huh..."

The audio had cut out and the setting has changed but it's not all that different. Despite the drone is by the door with the number '1025' on it's plaque. It must be his dorm room or something.

"Welcome back. Do you want dinner, a bath, or... do, you, want, me?"

As fast as Ichika finished opening the door, he slammed it shut.

"Erm..."

He took a look at the name plate, probably making sure it's his name or something. After checking he opened the door again.

"Welcome back. Do you want me? Do you want me? Or do, you, want, me?"

As he walked in, the door shut behind him; leaving the drone that's tailing him outside of his dorm room.

"THERE'S NO OPTION I CAN CHOOSE!"

"There is, but only one."

"..."

"I intend to stay here from today onwards."

"Wha...?"

"Yeah~ I can brag to everyone! Only two girls managed to live in the same room as Ichika-kun before me. I'll become your third woman then."

"No, wait...huh? Isn't this the first year dorm?"

"That's the power of the Student Council President. Ichika-kun's reaction is so kawaii~"

What is up with this girl? Isn't Ichika supposed to have his own room, being the only guy in IS Academy?

"Her name is Tatenashi Sarashiki; Student Council President of IS Academy and Russia's IS National Representative."

Sideswipe's eyes widen a bit.

"National Representative!-?”

“Yes, Eddie. Russia’s National Representative.”

It’s not just him who is surprised by this; I’m a bit surprised, and so are Ratchet and Scourge.

Although, it would make sense to have the strongest student to have such a position in IS Academy, but also being a National Representative?

But something about her name’s got me a little puzzled about her being Russia’s National Representative.

Ratchet took a closer look at Tatenashi’s image, as he spoke.

“There is an explanation for that. When an IS Pilot reach such a high level, she has the choice of being a National Representative for any country. No matter of her nationality or ethnicity.”

If IS Pilots reach that level have a choice, then it means there are not that many IS Pilots who can be National Representatives.

“Now back to the issue at hand… As I said; Tatenashi will be in contact with us on the technical side, but when it comes to being in contact with her on the personal side, that’s another story…”

"So you think the best thing to do is to keep our distance from her on the personal level?"

"That's right, Clay. Avoid her on the personal level as much as you can. As you heard in the audio recordings, she has a knack for teasing her fellow students from time to time and she can take down pretty much any student who comes to challenge her with ease. But also, it seems that she loves to play and toy with a guy's emotions."

When the image shut down, he enlarged the blue-haired's image while closing down the previous 4 images of IS Representative Candidates.

"Her name is Tatenashi Sarashiki; Student Council President of IS Academy and Russia's IS National Representative."

"!..."

Sideswipe's eyes widen a bit.

"National Representative!-?”

“Yes, Eddie. Russia’s National Representative.”

“!...”

It’s not just him who is surprised by this; I’m a bit surprised, and so are Ratchet and Scourge.

Although, it would make sense to have the strongest student to have such a position in IS Academy, but also being a National Representative?

But something about her name’s got me a little puzzled about her being Russia’s National Representative.

“Hold on…”

Tezla looked at me before resumed.

“Tatenashi Sarashiki… Isn’t that a Japanese name?”

Ratchet took a closer look at Tatenashi’s image, as he spoke.

“Yeah, and she doesn’t even look a bit Russian. Unless if one of her parents is one...”

“There is an explanation for that. When an IS Pilot reach such a high level, she has the choice of being a National Representative for any country. No matter of her nationality or ethnicity.”

If IS Pilots reach that level have a choice, then it means there are not that many IS Pilots who can be National Representatives.

“Now back to the issue at hand… As I said; Tatenashi will be in contact with us on the technical side, but when it comes to being in contact with her on the personal side, that’s another story…”

"So you think the best thing to do is to keep our distance from her on the personal level?"

"That's right, Clay. Avoid her on the personal level as much as you can. As you heard in the audio recordings, she has a knack for teasing her fellow students from time to time and she can take down pretty much any student who comes to challenge her with ease. But also, it seems that she loves to play and toy with a guy's emotions."

I let out a small sigh while silence filled the lab.

It’s a good thing that Tezla did some digging on this. It gives us a heads up on how we should counter act this. The last thing all of us would want is stirring up trouble at the Academy.

If that were to happen, then whatever follows won’t be good to say the least.

What the hell am I doing

Spoiler for The Infinite Stratos S01E07 - The Golden Girl:

The Golem's shield ruptured with force, catching Karon bodily and throwing her across the polished floor. The automaton stopped advancing at the other students, and turned to the small girl. Its optical scanners locked on her heat signature and redesignated her as a threat.

[Target in vicinity of primary objective. Minimizing collateral damage.]

The machine turned to face Karon and raised its other arm. Armor plates parted and shifted, turning fist to anti-personnel gun.

Yaburo was just too stunned to move, and that kept his phone trained in Karon's direction.

"What the hell are you doing, Karon?! Get up!!" Ichika screamed as he bullrushed the vault door again, only to have Byakushiki bounce off again.

He looked down as his main weapon as a dial counted down 120 seconds more.

"Still not recharged?!"

Karon however was still staggering to stand, blinking away the blinding lights from her vision.

There was a dull flash, and thousands of households across Japan had their screens of a junior idol disappear into a cloud of black chaff.

Screams rang out anew in the room all around Yaburo. Houki covered her mouth to muffle the urge to shriek. Irish punched the terminal in frustration. And Ichika let out another cry, falling on the stubborn door in a mad charge and pounded futilly against the tetraduranium bulkheads.

Then, a pulse of light ripped the cloud apart, leaving the isoelectric buzzing of fresh deflector shields surrounding the ragged figure within. Karon opened her eyes, suddenly aware that the pain and dizziness had completely vanished.

The Golem raised its free arm, subroutines trying to reconcile its primary objective and its hostile target having fused into one.

Irish frowned.

Ichika couldn't believe his jaw could drop any further that day.

"What in..."

"Core 109..." Houki remarked. "...its functional?"

[Are you alright, candidate?]

Karon looked down, and found the belt device from the pedestal earlier wrapped around her waist. She smiled, "You came!"

[Are you, my master?] 109 asked.

"You would choose me?" Karon wondered aloud. "I'm honored!"

[Calibrating pilot preferences...]

Core 109 responded by calling up a whole pletora of screens, each with lines of text and alien graphics scrolling at speed.

[Invent System boot complete. 109 stand by, ready.]

"Hey, 109 is a terrible name, let me give you a better one..."

Karon highlighted [Core 109] and typed in a new one.

[Vanda. Preferences saved. Identification granted.]

Numbers collaised in Karon's hand, and with a flash, materialized a viewing glass with a stylized ergonomic handle.

"I see now."

To the golem, and the audience, she declared, "Listen to my song!"

With that, Karon grasped the viewing glass over her eye.

"Henshin!"

The girl flicked the magnifying glass around, stabbed it into the belt device, and flick the handle down to the left. This set the color wheel inside spinning and projected a larger holographic one in front of the device.

[Kuru-kuru-kuru-kuru...]

Karon raised a hand to the air, then reached down to touch the glass.

[YELLOW.] The Vandadriver declared. [Splendid!]

As the younger Orimura leapt to the ceiling, the seven colors of the rainbow wrapped around her and exploded, revealing an IS of white with bright yellow armor plates thrustering in mid-air. More lasers drew lines on Karon's forehead, then with another blast of light formed a V-fin tiara. She twirled around, posed with a fox sign by her head and winked into the camera.

"Kira~*"

Irish's annoyance was growing every second. Houki covered her face with her palm. But Ichika just smirked.

"As expected of an Idol."

From what I can tell out of reading the Light Novels, yeah. She tends to be like that in some parts in the Light Novels.

And since I'm having Phase 2 of my fic tie into the Canon story starting with Vol. 5, it's going to be tricky to keep the Canon charaters in character. Which I'll probably be needing with help on later.

Now that's aside, here's another one in the archive.

For Idol Stratos Karon, I was using the Rainbow as her motif, with a twist.

*cue super enthusiastic narrator*

Yellow Striker: her basic form. Uses a Gun Sword equalizer.
Orange Bolter: fire support and heavy suppression. Uses a gatling and shoulder mounted rocket equalizers.
Red Blader: A high speed, close combat form using a katana equalizer.
Blue Sniper: Sniper rifle equalizer for long range precision attacks.
Green Dancer: A defensive yet agile form built around a shield equalizer that can be used as a bladed yo-yo.
Violet Violin: A curious Equalizer that utilizes the space vacuum shock cannon concept of Shenlong built into the strings of a violin. When played, it can function as a spatial resonance sensor or a middle damaging aoe attack.
Gray Knight: A unique color created by Tabane's over-the-top Robot Unicorn equalizer when ridden by Vanda.

Science has proven that there are actually only 6 colors in a rainbow, so Tabane saw fit to add another one right in the middle.

There is also the Ultimate form... which will come later.

Just read "The Irregular at Magical High School", and I must say, that's quite impressive. Might incoporate some of its elements.

Another sketch of mine:

- Name: Potentia Amoris.

- Manufacture: I.S Academy

- User: Chifuyu.

- Gen: 3.5

- Armanment: Harderner Poly-Dimension Carbon Katana, included Tachyon technology and covered with Tungsen (A.K.A Sasword's weapon)

- System: Neuro-based OS, Mach-7 Thruster, Liquid frame (VT System), E.Y.E.S (Nano-machine sensors).

- Final Attack: ??? (The user active full thruster power, then slashing the enemy with depleted Franxi particle).

Oh, and why a Jarcoder would be appropriate for Charl?
