Not really new news or animation news but:

Quote:
Batman Beyond, the six-issue miniseries based on the Warner Bros. cartoon, will become an ongoing series in January, DC Comics announced this afternoon.

Writer Adam Beechen (Countdown, Justice League Unlimited) and artist Ryan Benjamin (Midnighter & Grifter, Iron Man) will continue as the creative team on the title, which will relaunch with a new Issue 1.

Announced in March at Emerald City Comicon, the miniseries debuted in June, and centers on Terry McGinnis, the future Batman, as he grapples with a strained relationship with mentor Bruce Wayne and the emergence of a new killer with ties to the Dark Knight’s past. The fifth issue of what DC calls “the surprise hit of the season” will be released on Oct. 20.

Warner Bros. Animation’s Batman Beyond aired for 52 episodes from January 1999 to December 2001, and spawned an earlier DC Comics miniseries as well as a short-lived ongoing title.
X3 hooray for Beyond fans

I'm ... split on this tbh

On one hand, this is great, more Batman Beyond on the other hand I read the actual mini series and ... well the problem with was that they tried to glue together two different continuities that didn't match at all in some places.

Still I'll try to optimistic.

EDIT

speaking of announcements
Wonder Woman gets TV show

Warner Bros. had no comment
Neither do I.

Sadly enough the writer already admitted in a Newsarama interview that he'll continue inserting comics continuity in the Batman Beyond comic.. :\

A serie with ado/sidekick again...

When will we have a serie as ambitious as Justice League?

By the way, someone know if we will have a 3rd season of Spectacular Spiderman? Because the end of season 2 was a bit....
This looks like it'll be pretty good.

^ rotflol.

NYCC is currently under way and there were several DC and Marvel animated panels.
Green Lantern Animated Series
Young Justice
DC Animated films/shorts.
Avengers (just a description of the trailer)
Marvel anime

Hopefully the various trailers will hit youtube this week. I'm most excited about Young Justice and All Star Superman; Green Lantern and Wolverine anime are the two I'm least excited about.

Yes 26 November is very far away, I was somewhat disappointed that the episode in November is an 1 hour pilot while the series itself continues in 2011 (argh American season breaks can be so long)

As for Avengers it has already started with micro episodes, the first season starts on 20 October I believe.

okay, I should be going out in 15 minutes, but I gave in and watch the trailer.

Spoiler for thoughts:
Overall looks good, didn't like how the Robin fight seemed slow, but the rest is cool.

More later

The recurring ice is certainly suspicious, guess we have to wait till the pilot to find out the answer to the mystery.

They did take Robin's blood, but I'm not sure why any one would want to clone Robin he's only human.

Spoiler for thoughts:
- I didn't mind the voice nor the costume but nothing will beat TAS mr.Freeze (not the bodiless one mind you)

- Dick is Robin, but yes his laugh did sound like it was the Joker laughing.

I don't even remember Mr. Freeze in Batman TAS. Or are you talking about something else? Or maybe my memory is failing me?

Mr. Freeze was in B:TAS plenty of times. He even was the primary villain in a movie.

Cool trailer!!! I never really like new DC animated series (excepted DC Animated Movie) or series with sidekicks, but this one looks really good.
It looks not kiddy, that's great, i didn't want a 2nd "Teen Titans".

Funny though in that trailer they applauded a bit when Batman came out, then silence, then black screen some are clapping...then another scene then it finishes then thats when the loud claps and cheer.

Pretty much I'll be looking out for this one the plot alone from the get go of the teaser looks extremely promising.

From the hour long premiere, I can tell already that Aqualad is going to be my favorite Young Justice character.

I loved it btw. Too bad it was just a sneak peek.

'Twas fun. Definitely a good premier. Sadly we must wait another 5 or so weeks to see more, and even then we still have to wait for Arrowette to come in to complete the team (and raise the hotness factor even further (this new Aqualad = Smoking)).
