Does anybody really like Itagaki? Anybody? I know lots of people who don't mind him, or who think he's okay, but does he have any real fans?

Nah, no one likes Itagaki

he's like a Krillin, he has a few things (Destructo Disc/Kienzan) that gives him a few fans here and there, but other than that, he's forgotten. he's one of those guys that try hard but can't really match with anyone else

You missed the chapter where the Coach forbade Itagaki from sparring with Ippo because that would make Ippo lose confidence? If anything Itagaki is too strong, almost certainly stronger than Aoki and Kimura at this point.

itagaki is about to self destruct, you can tell, the lacdasical step as he enters the stadium... I can feel it, epic pwnage of itagaki's ass will soon begin and then ippo will question his prowess more than ever, hopefully the story will actually I dunno be good, because Asura fight was drawn out way too long.

Itagai is good character, but his development through out the series in to as good as Ippo, Miyata, Aoki, Kimura, Takamura and the others ahead of him. He's also got a glass chin proven in RBJ spar and in his debut fight. Though he always pulls off victories when serious. He just lacks focus, as for Ippo and Itagaki I think if they really did fight it might end to a no holds bard fight like you see in the ring, one of them might really get injured in the process.

hmm itagaki is a hard one. he seems like those typical talented spoilt brat which will ended up turning to be shlt or whatever.

you know, im expecting him to leave kamogawa gym someday, probably after a major quarrel with ippo. everyone knows how anal and emo he is, still being bothered about the remark made by ippo after he lost his debut fight. his sister will probably disown him as well needless to say.
100 chaps after leaving the gym, he will probably turn up against ippo, not a friendly match like geromichi, but with a bad intention

but again its hard to say, he isnt excalty those prince charming turn evil character, since he have a poor family background.

in that case, i will be expecting him to take in bribes due to his family financial problem. maybe losing a match on purpose, or even to the extend of drugging ippo or takamura before their fight and finally get his arse busted by kamogawa

oh dam . . i think im gonna get negg by itagaki fans

There are no Itagaki fans. If you said Sendo or Miyata or even RBJ, there are fans that will tag you. But Itagaki...nahh, he's not the popular type, though seeing all the speed boxers gather here gains me a little interest how Mori would pull this one off, since it's speed VS speed.

And yes Itadaki is Evil.

awesome, Mashiba's one of my favorite boxers in the series ever since the fight with Kimura, he looks good in that pic. Wish there was more of him....

We'll probably get more of Mashiba later on since it's just his returning match, he's face has quite changed when he went up in weight. Probably since he's dieting makes him look scarier and thinner on the feather weight league. Here in jr.Lightweight in Kimura's league he's pretty much at his top and best shape.

Mashiba's looked old and scary in the match against Kimura too, and now, he looks less scary and younger, at least in that picture

He's not dehydrated since if your body weighs 150lbs and goes down to feather 125-130lbs that's will REALLY change your appearance, just look at Takamura's body and facial changes before and after the match. The ones that are serious, not the ones goofing off.
