I'm really happy this episode didn't end as early as I thought it would. We don't want the next episode being too rushed.

Going by the screens, this episode looks great. Waiting for the raw.

And it looks like it ended where I thought it would. Initially I thought it would end just as Jessica's eyes were hurt, but a few days ago I thought it might end with EvaB and Nanjo. And that's what it seems to be. I agree, we are in very good shape for next episode, I think. So excited!

edit: I also wonder if they animated the "otherworld" when George goes to get Shannon. I didn't see a screenshot, but it might be in there. I would understand if they cut it, but it would be a nice treat if they left it in, because I thought it was a very beautiful scene.

Wow how did they insert that girl in this episode? It's nice to finally have a pic of her on her younger self, anyway. Lazy Ryukishi should have done that in ep4 XD

and regardless of all the epitaph clues that were skipped so far we have "07151129". But I wonder why it looks like it was made with a different paint color...

They left out the final usage of Daydream's End, AND they STILL can't hold back on the wacky faces?

Oh well, it looks like it was pretty decently paced in terms of the plot.

EDIT: Oh well, too late to un-one it. They got Eva-B's shark teeth in, which would have bumped it up to a 5 or so for me.

I am going to cry next week from the setup they've got, this is pretty much a fact . This episode even kind of shook me up a bit, and I wasn't even expecting it to.

finish the raw i like this episode, i would have prefer if the skipped the talk between eva and eva-beatrice so they can adapt more, i really want them to adapt perfectly next episode because is epic.

A good episode, i really hope they make justice with the epic discuccion that is coming.

Episode II-VI have to adapt a lot more than next episode and they keep the opening and ending so i think they will keep them, it will be great if they skipped them in the final episode of each arc.

I don't know but while watching the scene a second time... the "KANON-KUN!" completely gave me wrong vibes....the first time I was slightly moved...but it kinda lacked the setup...She didn't seem so helpless as she did in the VN. Also the Part in which she thinks about that she would never be able to see Kanon's face again while being treated is mising as well. Which actually is okay but would made the way from Battler, her parents to Kanon while crying for help a bit smoother. (cause it wasn't in *cough*) Also I hope we get at least see her crawling around the room next episode.

Also I feel like George and Shannon tried to copy Episode 2's drama death scene of KxJ, it was good none the less and I really liked it when George hugged her and the part in which he touches her cheek. Had a really nice vibe. I love Eva-Beato she is so awesome "Kihihihihihihihi" if a girl stood infront of me and laugh like that I would be seriously creeped out.

Beato in the end was awesome.

Jessica's boobs were really distracting while she was shot, really. Also what did they do to her poor pony tail at times (rose garden)
Eva shooting Jessica was kinda lame...the brawl leading to accidental shoot is missing. Now it looks like Eva just shot her and the term "In your face" kinda gets a new meaning.

VAs:
-Marina Inoue...I love her screams and crying. Ryukishi should make Jessica scream and cry more often.
-Oh god, Eva-Beato sounds so evil!

Pretty good episode.

A few omissions in the last half ticked me off and some scenes could have been handled better such as

Eva shooting near Jessica (SHE WASN'T EVEN NEAR HER!) and Jessica's fit after Nanjo dies

But all in all it was pretty good, lots of emotion, fairly entertaining.

General
Pacing- First half was good, second half was rushed
Voices- Ohara (Beato) and Ito (Evatrice + Eva) were really the only ones that stood out for me. Suzumura (George) did pretty good too.
Music- Meh, so so. I did like the track used in the final scene though. And a second episode in a row without suspicion holy crap!
Art-
I can see why Rudolf wanted her to sucker his merry barrels
Most of the art was good, save a few derpy moments. Kinda upset they did lazy animation with the Siesta fire, but it's not like they can really change it in any way so I won't give them points off. The entire was George and Shannon were stabbed and the entire golden arrow animation was nice too. The best in terms of coloring and general animation was the scene where Eva and Evatrice were talking together.

Pros
-They kept Krauss's talk about Eva ;;
-Finally gave a good portrayal of Jessica! Instead of sobbing around she comes in, ready to take down Eva.
-Beatooo ;_____;!
-The Shannon revival scene was handled with justice. The music set the right tone and the animation wasn't as disjointed as usual.
-They kept the fact that Eva wrote down the numbers on the door, but I wonder why they decided to leave out the fact that 0715 is Battler's birthday (July 15th)
-Nanjo having a granddaughter was kept in.

Cons
-The way they made Eva firing at Jessica look was odd. It looked like she had actually shot Jessica, when she actually shot the gun in the midst of a fight and the bullet missed Jessica, but the discharge was what damaged her sight.
-A certain part was just completely bad directing. I won't say what, but VN readers already saw my little rant in the spoilers thread.
-Proportions looked off at times - Beato's head seemed to go from big to small in this episode particularly.

Overall
I still think, in terms of everything, that the last episode was better, but this one wasn't too bad. Still for the bad pacing and just...yeah I won't go into it too much. 7/10.

They kept it, Battler mentioned it upon seeing the numbers.

Overall it was a pretty solid episode, the shot scene has felt strange and mystery girl insert was pretty random like OH WE FORGOT TO INTRODUCE HER. But awesome voice acting and a few scenes were quite well executed.

Now only if they didn't hesitate on giving other characters inner monologues like Beatrice here. Good pacing. The latter half is faster, but not too fast. This gives us more time for the more last and epic part of Episode 3. Eva-Beatrice is getting nastier by the minute. The quality bit of animation in some parts is meh, but bearable. They cut the parts that could be cut.

Props to some of the new music. I'm expecting the epic parts next week.

Did they make up the Eva-hates-smoking scenes with having Krauss smoke? I dunno, I just don't remember that in the VN D: Looks like they made up forgot-to-introduce-Ange as well. (It's okay to say her name now, right? Cuz Battler says it in this episode.) The GeorgexShanon part was very touching, I really liked it. But when Jessica was blinded, it did seem like Eva shot her or something xD This episode gets a 10/10 from me~ Can't wait for next week's~
