I have met the perfect girl, all because many long months prior, I lounged on a leather couch watching an anime called Infinite Stratos, and got a half baked idea about a male who could be a plausible badass in the IS universe without using an IS... And I still remember sitting down one night, and typing out "Heart of the Machine" for the first time on a blank document...

And look at me now... Who would have thought? I met a girl, I met you guys, and I'm having the time of my life because of a simple idea one night as I watched an anime and fished popcorn out of my teeth. A little thing, such a big impact on my life.

I could just cry.

We're still a long way from finishing our stories here. Anyway, I'm thinking of Kanzashi's life arc. What do you think their age should be? Younger so it just alters the past or same age to make it a full AU?

Anyway, same age would make the events more plausible, and it would give reason for the events to be more dreamlike rather than a concoction of a conscious mind. If they were younger, and the world still was detailed, it loses the wonder of the dream-state.

@ Eratas: There can be mentions of the IS if you'd like, but you don't have to have it in the immediate vicinity of the plot.

Hm... Here's an idea!

How about having her be a webmanga artist that Ichika is a fan of? She doesn't use her real name, but instead uses an alias! I can think of a few scenarios that can work off that.

She and Ichika were friends in an online forum called Animesuki. Their favourite topic being the new anime Infinite Stratos. She and Ichika were pretty close as far as forum goers were and they both agreed to meet up in a cafe. Ichika waited a while, but she never showed up so he checked online and found her account had been deleted. They stopped talking after that and he decided to get a job. You know the rest.

The parents finding out thing sounds more plausible, but it might be a bit contradictory since the main reason they hired Ichika was for him to get closer to Kanzashi and try to cheer her up somce she's a bit of a loner.

She could get second thoughts, the second one is as equally plausible. Since, after all (even if we know the truth), there's a chance that the guy she'll meet might be a 30 year old slob.

But she could find out the truth one way or another.
