from EP4, I suspect that she's the most suspicious to wrote the wine bottle lettle, because of same writing as maria book, maria come often to rokkenjima, she manipulate and affirm that she's beato + they have many similarities , hair color , clothes ' like in EP 2'

Back in EP2, when Battler was trying to explain Jessica's secret room, he tried to argue that someone was hidden there. To that, Beatrice said in red the names of the people who were there , but when she said 'corpse jessica', the 'corpse' was left in white
And since in EP5 we had a pretty uglier 'fake death', that stake on her back would be a piece of cake to fake

EP3: She had a sudden 'revelation' ( ), that Eva killed her parents. Could be a mastermind+accomplice quarrel.

EP4: Lived to almost the end

EP5: Jessica's fake death

You know, just thinking about it, does Battler ever actually see the attack upon Natsuhi's door in the first episode - ye olde "you can't trust anything Battler doesn't see" schpiel here, but I want to make sure.

My problem with a Shannon + Jessica conspiracy is to put it quite simply motivation. One of the general linchpins for "Shannon is Beatrice" and "Jessica is Beatrice" theories is the concept that Battler makes a sort of a foolish promise to either one of them and fails to fulfill it due to his quarrel with Rudolph. Even if Battler made that promise to both of them, I doubt they could then work together as they then would be rivals for Battler (okay, yes, there is the threesome option, but I doubt that.) Furthermore, unlike Genji, Nanjo, or George, I doubt either Shannon or Jessica would be motivated by the promise of gold, as neither seems to have a real interest in money. I had considered that Jessica was the one running amok in Episode 3 (as I argue that Shannon's death means the mastermind's plan went completely awry in Episode 3) but we have Ushiromiya Jessica has not committed murder which at minimum should apply to Episode 3. Maybe Jessica is the staker?

@Jan-Poo: yeah, that. I don't think Battler ever saw them, and if anything I think only Natsuhi (definitely delusional to some degree) and Genji (whom I suspect) saw them, so it's an interesting thought.

Here comes the question: "Battler made a promise to Beatrice" or "Battler made a promise to someone other than Beatrice". If Jessica is Beatrice then she might do all of this out of friendship. There's another interpretation. Shannon is doing all the killings and Jessica is protecting her by placing the blame on Beatrice. "Everything was done by the witch there is no need to blame one of us". Beatrice in ep4 did say that the promise wasn't with her.

The only problem with that is in ep5

It really seems that Beatrice is the one who is in love with Battler and the one whom the promise was directed to.
But in ep4 at a certain point we see two Beatrice and one of them said to the other that she would take her place from there on. And there's also Bern in the secret tea party of episode1 saying that Beatrice is not a single person.

Ahhahh ... Okay, here's a cracked theory for all y'all:

Battler isn't Rudolf's son at all, he's Kinzo's son with his mistress Beatrice. And either she died in childbirth, or else Kinzo for some unimaginable reason convinced her to give up baby Battler to his son Rudolf to raise. Rudolf's such a philandering type, no one would be very surprised if he 'suddenly' presented a child. Battler's sin then becomes either that he killed his mother by being born, or that he completely forgot about her.

According to Genji in ep1 Beatrice died in 1952 or before, which means the Beatrice that Rosa "Killed" is yet another Beatrice. that one was too young to be the one that lend the gold to Kinzo anyway. This second Beatrice maybe was also Kinzo's mistress but I doubt that.

I think...I may have broken the locked room of Eva's and Hideyoshi's death. Not solved but I may have a solution to how to enter the room.

The paint, it draws the eye yet no one ever touched it once, to my knowledge they had to have left it to the police however. One of the best hiding places is in plain view. The paint itself is meaningless, just another thing for the victims to worry about. However it's what the paint is protecting is important.

I have read in a few books and wiki where this man killed his family and to make it seem impossible to enter the cellar, he drilled a small hole on the door and locked the door using a horse hair trick, this was in the old days so afterwards he used candle wax to hide the small hole and painted over it. It's the same principle here, the paint on the door or whatever it is, that is how. You take out a panel of a door a ton of possibilities open up, and you can hide it behind paint, that is why it's there.

Another example in a novel I read there was a series of ritual murders going on each door was locked and impossible to open without a key. In each room there was a body, and on each wall there was a doll one of those voodoo jinxing dolls, nailed to the walls on each side, the locked room seemed impossible to solve however the trick to opening the door was that. The voodoo doll! each nail was used as leverage so that the killer could lock the door and afterwards take the line used to close the door and draw it out.

Each of these scenarios had one thing in common which got me. The trick was in plain sight for the investigator to see. That's how it came to me. The killer or accomplice took out the panel before or after the murder, with what little time the K or A had taken out the trap that killed Eva and Hideyoshi. You could not be in the room when the murders happened or if you look at it another way kill Eva and Hideyoshi after a period of time and slip out the door take out the panel or parts of the door then seal the room. When Kanon and Genji came to get Eva and Hide there was no paint but after a few moments the k or a came back and painted the seal that created the perfect closed room, the door itself is compromised

I think it's definitely a really cool idea. I'm wondering, though... most of us assume they're dead by the time Kanon and Genji get there. Since the paint wasn't there at the time, there was nothing to prevent them from seeing the hole or whatever was done to the door. In this case, how did they miss it?

Of course, it's easy if at least one of them was in on the crime.

Well your solutions seem reasonable but I think in Umineko the closet room is not created with such complicated tricks. It just doesn#t feel right though those solutions are certainly nice

I still believe the closet room war created through a lie fo Kanon, Genji and Kumasawa.
