1st season is a series; 1-13 episodes.
2nd season Haru is also a series; 1-13 episodes.
And there are 5 OVA's overall which can be consider as the 3rd season.
1st OVA is about Yumi vacation,
2nd OVA is Operation OK,
3rd OVA is the Hanadera Festival,
4th OVA is Lilian Sport Festival,
5th OVA is about Yumi trip to Italy.

"Series" means stuff that's been broadcasted on TV, OVA means it came directly to DVD (or, in olden times, to VHS. Whatever.)

The first two seasons were on TV. The third is made of OVAs.

hm watched this OVA and I can say it was amazing.. but after seeing it I just can't believe that the 5th OVA will be the last

and damn the momment when Yumi chose Sa-chan's dad was just funny kinda feels like they really suit each other (I mean yumi and Sa-chan)

OVAs are different from normal TV series... tv series usually have seasons of 12-14 // 23-26 episodes .. usually.. OVAs on the other hand are released 1 episode per month or several months.. sometimes they tend to be longer and the quality of them is usually superior to that of normal TV series episodes.

the first 2 seasons were tv series.. hence the 13 eps per.. marimite 3rd is made up of 5 OVAs.. the last one that came out today.

Just got back to watching Marimite these few days.
Havta say, this is by far, my favourite OVA. >_^

I don't know if this was discussed or not since I'm new to this series, but Kanako is so much like Sachiko. Even though Kanako got caught stalking Yumi, it feels like Sachiko is also stalking Yumi. She knows like everything... even going to the greenhouse and walking in at the right time in OVA3.

Well, she's definitely taller than Sachiko.. =P

Anyway, comparison why Sachiko and Kanako are alike..
(Btw, my "Scary" comment was on how they have similarities.. And well, they both are scary too, lol)

Sachiko is at first, serious, prone to hysterics, arrogant, hard headed and follows whatever was thought to her by her aristocrat family..

Kanako has the same qualities (not sure about the family background though) and she hates men as well, because of something that happened.. She follows what she wants to believe is true..

These both characters seek out the warmth, softness and hapiness Yumi provides.. Who is unconcious about it because they both are really very lonely people, acting cold..

Oh yeah, difference bet. them is:
Kanako HATES men
Sachiko is AFRAID of men

^ Right. But Yumi's reassurance usually calms Sachiko down, as with the Handera Scenes, although she still is struggling when with males unlike Kanako, who is as stubborn as a Freshman.

Kanako... just as stubborn as that other freshman named Noriko.

haha the OVA special was so funny when Kanako couldn't even get into the green house because she was so tall. She might be taller than Rie.

Well I believe Sachiko has changed since the beginning of the series. Shes way more open (or maybe just to Yumi) and acceptable to change. In OVA4, Sachiko probably had more lines than the entire 2nd season

Some more speculation that Sachiko is a stalker. In OVA2, she didn't seem to be surprised that Yumi and friends planned something. She might have planned to meet Yumi at the station

And in the ending of the 4th OVA, it seems she knew the bet between the two, so she may be listening outside, lol.. However, it's very un-Sachiko like

I thought about that too. It looked like Rie didn't even know about the penalty game at the end so the possibility that Shimako, Noriko, and Yoshino leaked info to them seems low.

Yup, they're not the ones who should be telling them that, nor will they tell Sachiko that, cause as a respect for Yumi, Yumi should be the one to tell her onee-sama..
