None of Our Heroines will take on the mantle of Acchan when they succeed? I think if they can do it, they will do it. But it depends to what degree AKB retains rights to the name and likeness of former members and how amicable her leaving is. (If you remember the movie Alien3, most of the characters from the previous film were killed before the opening credits. The popularity poll is an indication who might bite the dust in this series. I believe Mayuyu or Yuuko might die at one point.

DES will definately win at one point and everything will get destroy. I guess Akibastar might get attacked soon.

One day and a half left, and seems like the top 3 for the successors pool will be indeed Mayuyu > Yuuko > Acchan > Takamina. The gap between Acchan and Takamina isn't that big but considering how slowly Takamina's handshakes been growing, it's a bit unlikely she can take 3rd place.

But then rules are very much different out there (and unfortunately it's an open secret that there's actually gravure of tweens in swimsuits -- and only swimsuits)... Hopefully it'll be just the older girls who'll have to pose tastefully before the camera.

No surprises if there would also be some Mayuyu oshiri service (which she's famous for having the one of the best-shaped buttocks in AKB).

BTW, someone with a very long memory of older anime told me that this is the decade's equivalent to Sakura Taisen (and then I remember they're wholly a theater troupe who also acts as a special operations mech unit).
