Question Confusion - MKV files

I've read a few threads about MKV files, but I still just don't understand. How can I play MKV files?

Download and install whatever the most current "Mastroka Pack" is out right now (v1.0.3 is what I'm using), and then you can play the files (provided you have all relevent video/audio codecs).

You don't really "play" MKV files, you play what's inside of them.

More information about MKV can be found here: http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=27313

An alternative to the CCCP pack mentioned in that thread is AnimeSuki's own Playback Help page:
http://phoenix.animesuki.com/doc.php/help/playback.html

And since this topic is about playing a media file, I'm moving it...

You can use VLC, an almost all in one player which plays divx, xvid, mkv, ogm etc.
