Yumizuru noted that people will be able to read the story on smartphones and personal computers, but he recommended that people use computers if they want to contribute to Kimi P!

Yumizuru's Infinite Stratos series received a television anime adaptation last year, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for release in North America. The original video anime sequel Infinite Stratos Encore: Koi ni Kogareru Rokujūsō shipped in Japan in November.

If I remember correctly, he re-doing vol.8 because some fans bashing him due to Houki get too many attentions, right? Now he has a project that lets people directly contribute to his story, which technically not really "his" story anymore if there are people contributing to it.

It would probably help if he developed Houki's character a bit more and balanced the girls out a bit. It's becoming too obvious that he favors Houki...even though Charu, Laura, Rin, and Cecillia have their fanbases---and let's not start with Tatenashi...

Houki getting more attention isn't bad at all. If she gets less, thenn the author might want to explain why she was the first girl introduced.

The only thing I want is a male Rival who fights on his own terms, aka being paid extensively by a shadow government who wants the balance of power restored to it's old equation. To do so, they give him an prototype mecha suit that can duel 3rd gens without losing. Similar to Cross from Prototype.

However, he buddies up with Ichika who states that they are hypocrites and fights for the common man to prosper in the new IS world and that the real positions of power still belong to old men. The only difference is the younger male generation is lost.

That would muddle the whole "IS is the strongest weapon eva" and "Only male pilot" thing the series has. That and people might get pissy when another male shows up since they might want more attention on the existing females.

This is why as an author, you're not supposed to cater to their tastes. Authors are to write their own stories, not write what people expect them to write.

Well, personally I don't really mind about it. It still way better than getting this LN abandoned altogether.

I personally agree, but I know some can get stupid when they don't get what they want. Some of the best books I've read have authors who follow their idea's to the letter.

Well, I can't quote any survey or anything can be proven, but the whole purpose of harem story is wish fulfillment. The protagonist is supposed to be closer to earth so the main audience can fantasize being relate themselves to him.

It's only recently that harem plot is put as backup for awesome, likable, and well-developed protagonist.
