Disney The Princess and the Frog (2009)
Finally, after several years, Disney is back on not only traditional animation but also musicals. For this holyday season (11-December-2009); The Princess and the Frog.

Altho its totally amazing that Disney is doing traditional animation once again, I'm you in this Vexx, it looks like it will be brilliant and funny or a four alarm fiery disaster but hell knows which

One would hope that they would do something more substantial or groundbreaking, but then again this IS Disney.
Anyways, rah rah the traditional way (long done my cheering), still not gonna see it till it comes on Tv I am afraid. |

I'm somehow not surprised at the high percentage of advocates of 2-D animation on this site. XD
Needless to say I too am glad Disney's doing something non-CGI again. And I've got a young sister, so I have an excuse to go watch this in theaters!

I think there's plenty of room in the world for both 2D and 3D... Disney's argument for dropping 2D had a heavy ring of "idiot corporate exec doofus" to it.
3D is really cool for some stories... and sucks horribly at others. The medium should be chosen to *fit* the story. Lilo&Stitch was beautiful with the watercolor backgrounds and such.... in 3D it would have been an awful thing. Trying to think of a 3D film that would have been better in 2D....

From all the trailers I've been watching it's giving me good vibes, but plenty of trailers have decieved me before; so I really can't say how I think this film is going to turn out. I'm hoping for the best as I really miss the old Disney musicals.
