From what I've heard, the assault carbine is supposed to be a new covenant weapon replacing the carbine in Halo 2/3.
Seems likely, there's a fairly big gap between the prongs on the weapon. The seems like something a game designer would identify with a railgun/energy weapon.

That would be nice, considering in Reach they FINALLY let us fly a space fighter. Also, I heard the Pelican was originally intended to be flyable in Halo 3. Apparently you were supposed to fight the Gravemind with a missile-armed pelican.
Also, I'd like to see large multiplayer maps featuring multiple tanks, Pelicans, Longsword fighters etc, like in Battlefield. |

The DMR and Battle Rifle now have pretty distinctive profiles. The DMR has a longer barrel, visibly larger magazine (for larger rounds I imagine), as well as different optics.

Battle Rifle will probably have the advantage in medium range, probably from greater rate of fire. But the DMR will have a greater zoom, and it doesn't have to worry about the three round burst spreading everywhere will do more damage per each trigger pull. Any number of ways to easily make them work differently. And heck. We still have that BFG, and that hand held rifle grenade launcher we saw in the CGI trailer. Lots of stuff to find out about still.

If I can be precise, I will be precise. If I can't...I hope my spray of fire will drop them in time, or that I got a grenade so it doesn't matter as much.
I tend to sniper when I can in Halo games (story mode stuff, not PvP). Reach had a decent non-sniper rifle that had a fair to good zoom on it for combat use. The actual sniper rifles sometimes how zooms that were too powerful for inside building work. Also it ran out of bullets too fast.

Except we don't know how long the chief had been in cryo. It could've been centuries in which everyone the Chief knew have died and the Spartans have passed into a legend.[/QUOTE] That is not true, Cortana only has a life span of 7 years, and that not including the time before the halo games

And IIRC, didn't they already confirm that Halo 4's only 4 years or so after Halo 3?

There is an in game screen shot that tells us how much time has pass since Halo 3, on a monitor.
It reads out to say Last contact with UNSC 3 Years, 4 Months, 30 Days http://h11.abload.de/img/halo4_360_editeur_0143ijcc.jpg But it is possible that time might have changed later during development. |

It's a sizable amount of time be it 3 or 4 years, anything after 2 I'd say was along time.
Hope we see some details on stuff like whats been going on wtih the UNSC and COV since Halo 3 and Glasslands. Even if just minor details. The DMR looks pretty damn cool btw.
