Hm, 666 squadron have a lot people with mental problems - Anette, Sylvia, even Theodore with his sad past - I cant count cases, when he wanted to slap someone.

Not surprising - horrible war with BETA mutilate people not onle physically but mentally too, as all wars do.

That's why when Theodore says just him and Katia together alone is good enough...I'm actually beginning to agree with him (well throw in Irisdina too)

The matter of trust, I think. After that touching scene, when he crying at magnificent Irisdines bosom, he definitely trust her, but I don`t know about his relations with Pham, Anette ans Sylvia.

By the way, have you seen the Pham`s side story from TSF Cross Operation vol 5?
I`ve find the torrent last week and it seems that there are interesting Phams and Irisdines background from 1980 year.

Sylwia survived seeing most of her friends dying in battle against BETA, seen most of her homeland being burned to the ground and was then gang-raped by the generic Red Army trash.

If *that* didn't cause your psyche to crack, then you couldn't have had emotions to begin with.

Her devotion to Irisdina is mostly based on the fact that Iri stopped her from killing herself.

I have the TSFiA Vol.5 together with that story, but my knowledge of kanji is still way off....If anyone wants, I can make scans, but since my scanner is HP, I cannot guarantee that the quality will be all that stellar.

Still, it seems like it has an adorable end, rather than usual Schwarzemarken despair.

Yeah...Katia seems to be everyone's favorite punching bag

They really aren't blackmarked for nothing....

Haven't finish vol 2 due to doing other stuff but well....~1/3 of the book in and Anette still has issues with him, Pham and Sylvia feel more like the "don't get in my way" kind of relation.

Apart from Sylvia and zampolit Gretel, most of the warmth comes from the interaction between the girls and Katia.

Not surprisingly since a greater chunk of the volume is combat

Yeah, Sylvia is broken....but that still doesn't make her any more likeable. Not from the POV of people who have to put up with her. More like one of those she's like that, can't be helped cases

A person doesn't have to be likable to be a valuable teammate. Not that I don't disagree with your motion that Sylwia is a jerkass, but just sometimes, she does have a point. She's just really, really ass about it.

And to be honest, it's better to flip out in the base, the during actual combat mission like Anette did in Chapter 1.


Katia's bad luck is connected to the "pretty girl open for teasing" aura she exhibits. No, I'm serious.

But to be perfectly honest, being decked for saying "The two Germanies have to work together" is pretty tame. People in Communist block (and GDR in particular) could have been executed on more tame charges. And historically, neither West or East Germany actually recognized each other as sovereign nations until 1970s...somehow, this being MuvLuv, I doubt their history went on same conciliatory course as ours did.

If there's someone really out for Katia's blood though, it would be Beatrix.

And Line falling does not equate to everyone dying. It's possible remnants of GDR get absorbed into the German Bundeswher or something. It was mentioned that European evacuation went much better then the one in Asia.

Some good man already did this work - the pages were added to archive with 1st chapter of "Land of the Dead Gods".
But can I ask - may be you have TSFIA vol.2 too?
I wanted to translate the story about DDR tank regiment, that was included there.
