Top work Drake. After hearing that, it's unmistakable. And is that blood splattered over her face, or are they freckles. I'd like to think of it as blood, as Foehammer is pretty badass
Havn't had much time to play this week, and in desperate need of it! |

I think its a mix of freckles and dirt/grime.
I've been playing it pretty flat-out and scraped my way to Lt Colonel grade 1 but from what I've heard I can only hit grade 3 before I reach the current rank cap =/

Reach though, I just finished a twelve hour bullrush through the campaign, stopping only to eat and drink. Few games can do that nowadays, least of all shooters. |

Just beat a few days ago solo with every skull but black eye and iron.
Some parts were kinda frustrating, in short there's a lot of parts equal to difficulty to Halo 2's Sniper Alley or the Elite Waves in the first level, or ****ing Regret. In a way Reach is the hardest of the Halo Games, but it's a lot shorter, also there's a bit of artificial difficulty if you compare it to the second hardest (Halo 2); since you lack the ability to Dual Wield and need to utilize health packs. The AI is ruthless (read cheap) at times, they will go insane with their weapons (ie: grenade spam, launcher spam, beam riffle spam). If I could dual wield, it would have made the game probably six times easier; but that's musing over what if's. But I imagine it would have also been three times harder if there were flood-type enemies, given the AI and Human weapons/vehicles. My personal difficulty ranking; Halo: Reach Halo 2 Halo 3 Halo 1 |

Rather than doing 'Resume Solo Campaign' through the title screen, you have to go into the main menu. Go onto 'Campaign', then 'Scoring' and select it to either 'Team' or 'Free For All'. It doesn't matter which, as you'll be playing on your own.

When halo came out it was a step up compared to most fps's on consoles at the time but the industry and tech have advanced quickly since then so it obviously looks/feels dated by todays standards. It alone converted me from the ps2 so it must have done something right. Anyway has anyone else found all the datapads yet? Some are a nightmare to find but them make for an interesting read.

Replaying in Legendary mode, it's a lot easier than I remember this mode being in other games
I blame the invincible teammates. It's either let them take out many of them or rush in (suicide) and try to kill them all before they interfere. Sorta envy Master chief's lone wolf missions. Ironic that Noble 6 was one of those before joining this team.

I cant say about halo 2 or 1, but there are subtle hints in the game that tells you why Halo reach is not more difficult than Halo 3 in legendary (no skulls added). -Hunters, this is the most noticeable hint that Halo 3 in legendary is more difficult. in Halo 3, Hunters don’t die from a frontal attack unless you laser them, in Halo reach, Hunters will fall from any weapon if shot on front, depending on the weapon the can take some time. -Brute Chieftains of Halo 3, these guys are the toughest foes so far, there is no enemy in Reach like this, the closest one is a Zealot sword wielding elite, and he is not even half as tough as a Chieftain that is rushing to you with a Hammer. -The Flood. This is by far the most difficult and annoying chapter to complete, where there are section where the only way to to pass it is by avoiding the enemies, in Reach even in legendary you can pass every chapter by eliminating every enemy in their respective area. -Granades spamming, I found myself dying even more against plasma or spike grenades in halo 3 than in halo reach. -You never had to take down 2 scarabs at once in Halo reach (not even one). To be honest, Halo reach for me playing it alone in legendary was really easy to play, Health pack were never an Issue, Sprint always take you fast out of trouble, or you had always an AA to back you up and and invisble AI spartan that did clean ups, Halo 3 never had such things as permanent abilities to back you up, there were times in halo 3 where you knew your death was coming because you had no way to cover or escape from certain situations.

I've never played a Halo game in my life. Recently decided to buck that trend and pick up Reach. My friend challenged me to play it on Legendary right off the bat, and this has probably been one of the worst gaming ideas I've ever signed on to. Ugh, I'm getting my ass beat big time. I somehow slogged my way to the Nightfall mission, but not sure if I wanna continue doing this. Not having much fun at all.
You guys got any random advice for a noobie like me? So far, I like the combo of alien plasma pistol + military scoped rifle. Those taller enemies with the body shield are friggin' annoying to kill.

Advice? Start on a lower difficulty
On a more serious note; don't go all gung-ho. Take a step back and let your shield recharge when things get hectic. If you've got the DMR, sit back at a comfortable range and pop a few heads to clear the area a bit. |

Yeah, I find myself staying very far away from any hot zones and just trying to thin the herd from a distance. When I do have to move in and mix it up, I try not to stay exposed for too long...kill one guy, run away, procure more ammo, repeat. Not a very fun process, but I'm not good enough yet to just go in guns blazing.
