Actually, Apollo was smart and did the right thing; she didn't get people uninvolved hurt or get Kanon's love intrest into danger. She didn't know Keima could have (possibly) helped her, but we also don't know if Keima wouldn't have gotten out untouched either if he had. So the best option would be to control Kanon and book it before she gets hurt or if Kanon drags someone else into danger.

If the suspect was willing (and did) to stab someone in broad daylight in a public place, wouldn't be natural to think the suspect would go to greater lengths even if people were around? Could have been messier, but that's from a realist point of view. Of course the manga itself wouldn't go into that direction.

If they go for a reset route, I'd actually be disappointed at that turn of events; but having that said I don't believe it will; from RH's translation it was said Akari and the teacher couldn't do anything for the goddess (who is still alive) but it doesn't necessarily mean Keima can't do anything with his connection to Tenri/Diana.

From current known plot points Keima needs the goddesses to seal the old demons. I'd probably would believe Kanon would remember the events up until that point, while Apollo goes into "hibernation".

Aside from her putting the ''Stupid'' label on herself, Apollo hadn't done anything that qualifies as such. True she's not as sharp as Diana, but she's in no way an idiot.

My verdict on this chapter will depend on how will Kanon be handled from this point onwards as well. I just hope she won't end up being stuffed into a jar now that the main plot points have been delivered.

Logically, of course this being a manga where logic goes out the window at times, because Kanon has already been targeted and still living (assuming that she pulls through memory or no memory); the group that hunts the Goddesses will still try to finish the job, the threat still exists therefore it still must be eliminated. It wouldn't seem natural just to say "She forgot everything this time, she's clear!". There are just to many lead in's at the moment, character development for several characters I can imagine from these turns of events. So it's really a low chance for a reset in my opinion from where the story stands currently, of course, it depends on the author if he wants to make the story the point where anyone could die; but it doesn't seem likely especially with the lead ins that Keima can pull something off.

Mindwiping was an easy way out for Keima to allow him to treat the entire thing as a 'capture scenario' since he rarely ever had to deal with the consequences.

It'd be a nice change of pace if the author sticks to his ongoing 'holy crap the real the real the real' character development for Keima by having him deal with the consequences of something without mindwiping the class.

Rather than the turn of events and the current unfolding situation with Kanon/Apollo/Fiore — which, the general result is quite given — I am more interested in how Ayumi and Chihiro would react/respond to Kanon's confession on an emotional level and how it would affect their behavior toward their love interest Keima. If this news gets into the hand of masscom, it would be a sensational story...nationwide. One thing to note here is that memory revision isn't necessary applicable: There weren't any captures, phenomenons related to runaway spirits did not occur, and it did not have any involvement of RSS/Hell.

P.S. Kudos to the person who have deciphered the Hellian language and NecocYaotl for relaying the information to us (+rep is a must here!). However...

I found it hilarious/silly how, despite Hellian being based on the Latin alphabet, Apollo (or Wakaki-san, :|) used to convey the message in Japanese by writing out the pronunciation in English (Hellian -> Latin alphabet -> English -> Japanese).
