Nope, as evidenced by Ichigo's still bleeding head the first time he transformed.

Well its on the front cover of that volume and the chpts are 53 to 57 (that feature byauka, cause there also some ichigo training with urahara in that volume as well)

It's probably because Kubo hadn't come up with the idea of a captain's haori yet - he might not have yet come up with captains or made Byakuya one by this point (in the translation I've just read, he's a "general", not a captain), and Renji also lacks a vice-captain's armband

Yes. As evidenced by every single fight Ichigo has been in.

That's just Tite Kubo forgetting a character. Nothing particular has actually happened concerning Kon.

Okay just considering:

Byakuya said to Renji, that even the gifted Shinigami needed 10 years of special training to "master" their bankai for use in "battle."

We know that the following are unmastered:
Renji
Ikkaku
Hitsugaya

Is Soifon's bankai considered "mastered" by Byakuya's standards?

Also: just a side thought but would Mayrui's and Koma's be considered "mastered" or do people think they can somehow improver their bankais as well....?

I think Soi Fon could use a bit more training with Bankai, she mentioned that she can usually only use it once every three days, but she used it twice in one battle so it seems like if she can ever overcome her dislike of her Bankai, she could improve it quite a bit. I think Koma and Mayuri have already mastered their Bankais, but hopefully they will show some new techniques with them in the future.

Personally, I don't think she's used her Bankai for the sum total of all but maybe a few hours tops throughout all her hundreds of years as a shinigami. Because she apparently has a clear and profound hatred for her Bankai since it's too big, too flashy, offends her pride, and doesn't mesh well with her preferred fighting style and techniques. Even her own VC has gone on record for saying he's never once seen it prior to their fight against Barragan. And you have to admit, it would probably be a rather difficult Bankai to practice using without your VC and the rest of the Gotei 13 knowing about it.

Plus there's entirely too many flaws with her Bankai to make it seem like she's come anywhere's close to mastering it. I mean she feels she has to wear a "Ginjotan" just to handle the recoil. And for so many Bankai's to be capable of multiple different attacks (or options at the very least), it's somewhat hard to believe that Soifon's Bankai will forever be limited to launching a massive missile. With practice, she might be able to overcome the recoil and become more mobile while using it. She might also be able to turn that missile into a homing missile, or a missile that breaks apart into hundreds or thousands of smaller homing missiles. I guess my point here is that I see a lot of untapped potential within Soifon's Bankai for me to consider it mastered.

i doubt she'd put much effort in perfecting her bankai because her strenghts are best known for her martial arms combined with her lightnig reflexes and deathblows. where as her bankai is oversized and is in my opinon the oppasite of her abillities, not befitting the capatain of the stealth squad if her weapon is twice her size and heavy.

Which is exactly why she needs to train with it more. She gets blown back by recoil, and can barely move while holding it. Compare that to Gin, who is unaffected by the recoil of his Mach 500 Bankai, and has no problem swinging it while its fully extended, and its obvious that Soi Fon has a long ways to go before mastering her Bankai.

I never actually thought of it [Gin's Bankai] that way...
That's a very good point on the recoil and length.

does anyone know if kubo allowed the differences in anime adaotation from the manga? cause some added elements are so different that i can't help but think they're going to ruin the adaptation anime.

i mean don't get me wrong i, like the fillers but when an arc started just after the ichigo and grimjow fight i was like WTF?! and now that a new arc has started on the manga i really hope that they don't go and ruin things.

perhaps this will get treated as naruto shippuden till theres enough chapters to start again.

^ it helps to consider most of the filler (except maybe the bount arc) as stuff that happened in a totally alternate universe.

reason why i mentioned the bount arc was because the anime team decided to go ruin the "alternate universe" idea by shoehorning flashbacks of that filler battle during his vizard training.

although the zanpakuto unknown arc was mostly funny. besides its totally lame duck ending.
