ep 10

Ahh, I just love the random bits at the start of each ep - this week its hinako's woes on having small brests, apparently eating and sleeping like a log is all it takes for mayu

Onto the ep - HOLY SH*T!
If anything, this episode just took the word "generic" and fired it out of a cannon towards a brick wall!!

So much things happened i just dont know where to start

- The flashback. Finally concrete proof of the relationship triangle. Ninomiya, reika and mayu all feature in the same flashback so its safe to say that those three had been close friends before they got separated for whatever reason.

It seems like in the past Mayu accidentally sucked ninomiya while they kissed which caused reika to become worried about him in the same was as present. deja vu indeed - while more is needed mayu is aware of what she did. (this was probably the first time she ever used her powers unconciously).

More similar flashbacks shows that they were pretty close friends as well - watching reika wiping mayu's lips it seems ninomiya is slowly getting his memories back as we see a smimilar flashback but with chibi reika (i wanna take home ~~~)

And then there was a third flashback with ninomiya and Takusu - so he was one of the three kids who beat up ninomiya and the girl that we hear yelling for them to stop is indeed reika. we dont see how ninomiya is saved but it looks like mayu could have been the one to save him...in that case this is another interesting twist to the story

- But for most part, the most amazing twist was seeing irori kissing Takusu.

who would have guessed that the woman Takusu had in his eyes all along was actually irori. he probably wanted to redeem his pride after losing to ninomiya/mayu all those years back -

I just knew something was fishy when he was blushing like a maniac during the scene where irori greeted him in the moring...but never would have thought

comeplete win though - i just love the way this stroy is throwing curveballs, and that isnt all!

- DARK reika makes another appearance at the end of this episode which leaves shinobu tossed out of the helicopter to plunge to her death...

DAM YOU KOHSAKA!

he bloody pushed poor shinobu out ;__;

(and before you go crazy she isnt exactally dead she fell pretty far but there is an ocean under her but zomg...just how did this happed?

you think this is all over? think again...

- The next day ninomiya finds an interesting article in the newspaper concerning her sister and mayu's brother (seems like they are missing???) and then we have the swat team crashing into his home...all signs point to reika's doing.

and finally...we see a letter in mayu's room saying:

"gomen nasai, sayonara"

~ mayu

things are looknig good

What a totally splended episode!

it is a mixture of comedy, drama, action, twists and resolutions.

i am totally surprised as to how amazing this is turning out to be (it kinda just throws it back into your face for doubting that this is going to turn out to be JUST another girls bravo )

also, those who called mayu to being annoying because she doesnt take any action need to eat their words...

mayu completely stole the light from everyone else for being the one who takes the initiative! (about fricking time too! ^^)

takusu invites her out but she rejects him even though i would have guess for her to accept thus causing yet another generic loop of misunderstandings :rolleyes;

nope, instead she was totally amazing in her rejection even thous she saw irori trying to seduce ninomiya again!

not only that she takes him by the hand, drags him away to have fun together with reika who is hiding in the bushes - they three of them together just like old times!

i swear those three are all joined up with the string of fate

lots of fun bits, including some ninja action - 11/10 from me

Mayu forgot Reika and vice-versa - Time

After being branded terrorists, they took Mayu and left, leaving Shungo to be the scapegoat.

She's an adopted child. Her original last name is "萩小路" (Hagishouji?)

So... does that mean...?!

A kiss, but no life energy drained?! Could it because they are both succubus/incubus? But no... there's Shungo...
Succubus/Incubus bodies don't generate any life energy on their own, they need it so they drain it from others, but that means that even succubus/incubus have life energy to drain, so why not with Irori/Tasuku?
Hm...... Could it be because of that? About Shungo......

And it seems the anime is going into an anime-only arc which will end the series with no second season? Unless they can setup up for a sequel (volume 8) by the last episode...
Hmm... I hope Christmas comes soon. Then I can get a break and sit down and read all 8 volumes... <--- Impossible -_-

Looks like 'Dark' Reika Hojo and Mitsuru Hosaka will be the main antagonists of this series......
Thus Shungo had it enough and will make a payback for the people who made him suffer along the series.

I don't really know what to think about this episode. It really feels like the humor in this series has run itself dry - I didn't think any scene was particularly funny, and I only chuckled mildly at some of the parts. I don't know, it just feels like:

They've run out of material and have no idea how to end the series at this point, so they're going to throw a bunch of curveballs at us and plot-twist their way to a sufficient ending. The entire Tasuke / Irori mini-arc really deserved more (or any) explanation to really flesh it out - it really just felt like they decided to abruptly end it. With a random horde of ninjas, nonetheless.

And apparently Hosaka is the true villain? Must have missed that memo somewhere...

Humor? what humor? it doesnt seem to me that this ep as trying to be gut busting funny. It was more cute than funny seeing mayu trying to imitate the statue, while reika going "wheeee" got a good chuckle out of me

I think that the irori x takusu thing was done well enough. Their story is pretty simple infact.

what takusu tried to do wat to get revenge on ninomiya by "stealing" mayu causing him emotional pain - the same pain he felt 10 years ago when he was humiliated by ninomiya and mayu in front of his true love interest, Irori.

we all know how much irori likes to play so she probably went after ninomiya to tease takusu while it is revealed that she loves him all along (and the past doesnt matter bla bla).

The kiss at the end is the final event which brings them together and i dont believe that it was done in an abrupt way.

hosaka isnt a villain...he is only doing what reika tells him (i assume that he also likes her

Wow, Shungo's memory is quit the lame one --- and as of yet we have no reason as to why his memories are so bad. I wonderful if we'll find out something to do with that...

I don't think Hosaka has those kind of feelings towards Reika. He's just follows the orders of both sides.

The last two minutes of this episode were WHAT!?! From the plane scene, to the paper --- and finally Mayu's letter. Of course it'll make sense in the next episode, though i do love how we're left with one huge cliffhanger. Very much loving the look of next weeks episode, and the evil Reika who is just so <3.
