Bern and Lambda aren't exactly fighting characters, I'd rather see them as spectators.

....

BTW who's going to be the final boss?

That said, it is definitely encouraging, so we can't do anything but wait for trailers and whatnot.
Please remember they still managed to get every voice actors of Higurashi for Daybreak, despite it had more characters for its first release while When They Cry franchise was arguably less popular at that time.
Not quite; didn't Koyasu Takehito play Akasaka instead of Daisuke Ono? (Then again, KT is a bigger name than DO.)

That's.... a very good question.... I say it'll probably vary from story mode to story mode.... unless there is in fact an extra boss character or two.

Bern and Lambda can whip scary amounts of ass, though.

Final Boss is Kasumi.

Rachel from BlazBlue would like a word with you.~

I wouldn't be surprised that one of the unlockable characters is the game's antagonist.

Anyone else find it strange that Battler's character ability is Resurrection? That ability screams Ange or at least Beatrice. I was thinking she could revive her partner if he/she got killed.

That is because he was the original VA for Akasaka in the drama CD.

Actually no, Battler's skill makes sense the most for him: after all he was described like a phoenix in the VN, always reviving from ashes.
It is actually how he is fighting in the franchise all the time: even after a crushing defeat, he is charging back to the fray.

Another Phoenix Wright connection. So what you're saying is if he's been PWNED to dust, he can get back up again?(I'm assuming only once.)

I think it would be badass if the final boss was Kinzodragon

I'm pretty sure character abilities don't apply to themselves, but rather the partner they're fighting with. That's what I figure at least.

If Battler's tagged-out, his ability will activate and affect his partner who's tagged-in. Adds a bit more complexity to the game.

Considering this screenshot, it seems some skills apply regardless which character is currently fighting.

That's why I said you never know if some stuff are problematic or not.
Even simple things like "damage" turns into some weird "damege", so I'm not surprised by that french translation of "reverse beat" into "en sens inverse coup".

However this is even worse than a simple mistranslation. It's not like they can use the excuse of "I don't know English" here, this is a simple matter of consistency.

I'm curious what the music's gonna be like.
Remixes of all the murder rave songs?

I'm excited.

So anyone figure out why the Siestas are now the Chiesters?

I can't help but call them "Chesters" now.
