It is a shame since the Legilis looked so awesome than for it go out like that? A real shame.

Yeah, Legilis was completely wasted. Considering how powerful it was in the fight against Sid this battle looked like a bad joke.

But whatever. Zeheart having mental breakdown probably was the only way for Asemu to defeat him with any semblance of realism. Still better the watching another "Omg he's so powerful I can't read him he isn't supposed to be x-rounder!" crap.

Legilis was bound to be destroyed anyway. Zeheart is blinded by rage, and Asemu's word has gotten into his mind during the battle, that's why the DH had the chance to tear it up. It already shown all its skill on the past episodes so there's no point for it to be flashy on this episode.

Diva, Grodek and Millais will be proud of you. You've done a big part in this story.

Obright, Woolf will also be proud of you. Defeating non-grunt units F-yeah!

Also, good to see the 3 Gundams/Asunos escaping during the firing of the Digmazenon canon.

10/10 epsiode for me.

So.....so what's the point? Obviously they aren't going for Genocide end, but as far as I'm concerned peace will be empty, because all the named Vegans are dead except the one guy who's been frozen hasn't spoken and I could care less about. So the faceless masses survived. Who cares? You aren't supposed to care about them.

God damn it. Destiny dropped the ball, Geass dropped the ball, 00 dropped the ball, and Age dropped the ball. Can they just not do mecha right anymore?

Whoa whoa whoa say what you want but I think Geass and 00 turned out fine or at least were consistent with what they were aiming for.

Geass - Lelouch paid the price for what he did to people and so do Suzaku (granted the others got off but hey). In the end they achieved what they both set out to do since eps 1

00 - Aside from the movie they ended up readying humanity for the incoming alien invasion which they set out to do. In any case I'd say they were paced out alright.

AGE....they're just throwing things all over the place.

I mean the women are treated very poorly and we get characters that serve absolutely no purpose to the plot....on that matter what was the whole point of Zanald's character or even Leglis?

Heck what was the point of some of the Vagan MS to begin with?

This is why I considered this episode to be the climax of the finale. Yes, there isn't a closure for Flit, Kio, or Ezelcant yet (I consider Zeheart's final speech and death closure to both himself and Asemu), but at this rate, Zera being a final boss feels completely tacked on. Like they are using him just for the sake of a final boss aside from the Galette's, which has happened in every generation thus far. Gen 1 had Geera Zoi, and Gen 2 had Mendel Zant, but the difference is, both of these characters have been around since the beginning of their respective arcs and received some development, even if its not a lot. Zera being an Ezelcant clone just doesn't quite cut it because even Ezelcant says that Zera only inherits his fighting abilities. So unless Ezelcant suddenly jacks Zera's mind, there's not much to him other than being a big bad to be taken down.

Totally agree on the first point.

However, 00 was actually pretty good. Setsuna vs Alejandro, Hal/Al vs Sergei and Soma, and then Setsuna vs Graham were all pretty damn good fights. Then S2 had it's ups and downs, Lyle vs Ali was total shit, but Lyle vs Revive, and Setsuna vs Ribbons were damn good.

Zeheart's death could have been much much better. What we got is rather lame and not very effective at making an emotional impact.

Fram just piloted the cursed unit. That thing didn't exactly do much for Yurin. Though in the end I wonder what was the point of giving her that similar unit? Figured they might play on Flit's past a bit, but he was just kind of 'there' this episode.

Zeheart vs. Asemu really was a 'wait what?' kind of fight. It was over before I knew what was going on. Though suppose it fits symbolically. Asemu is still solid on his path of fighting for those he cares about while Zeheart was an emotional and mental mess. They really did flip positions with one being solid in his beliefs and the other not so much. Of course in the end Asemu couldn't save his friend's life, but at least by the end he was back to himself. The flashback at the end along with his final words I felt was well done. Even though so much had happened that friendship was still there. Zeheart at least made sure to keep Asemu back at the very end.

Rough day for Fram. Unfortunately it wasn't a shock how she went out. Zeheart could gather so much affection and loyalty, but in the end no one was able to step up to him and say "you're going too far."

At least Woolf can look down at Obright and Asemu with pride. Both pulled off some great stuff especially Obright. Proof that skill and effort can overcome an x-rounder when it counts.

In the end you simply must kill them all...

At least Kio will get a happy ending, isn't that satisfying enough?

O'bright and Ibis Ms units and the dark hound stole the show for me .... I hope too see more AGE MSV Grunt units.

They might be in inferior mass produce units, but their, piloting skill aren't ..... salute

Thank god everyone is saving Kio the moral dilemma of having to kill anyone . There's almost no one left but grunts and he can handle those without too much trouble.

tbh i wished obright have lived. so instead of him fighting fram right away, he could of hop on the darkhound express and let fram chase him and gundams. and then the big lazor beam comes in to finish fram off. this would of make more sense though, yet kind of funny in a bad way.

well at least hes not deadweight :P

Really Kio failed. He couldn't save any of the people he tried to save and even the guy he spared ended up getting blown up by Zeheart.

The only guy he'll probably save is frozen dude, who he doesn't know, and the faceless Vegan masses who he also doesn't know.

Meanwhile Fram Girard and Deen, the people he actually tried to understand and save all died.

When you think about it all 3 don't really get a happy ending. Flit lost lots of people and spent most of his life seething in hatred, no matter what he chooses to do next ep. Asemu missed out entirely on his sons childhood, and couldn't save his buddy. And Kio couldn't save anyone he tried to connect to.

Again, this is why a so called happy peaceful ending comes off as insincere when most of the characters died anyway.

LOL WTF at the rushing this episode.

* Zeheart has gone from a guy who at the very least cares about his own people to raging lunatic who fires on his own fleet. And just a few moments before, he was wondering what the heck he was doing.
* Zanald knew something was up and had plenty of time to get out of the way. He didn't.
* Obright outshines all three Asunos and kills both Leil and Fram on his first try.
* Zeheart was raging so hard that he can't even pilot Legilis properly, using none of its hax abilities, and it gets ripped apart in the shortest, most anticlimactic, and most pathetic boss fight ever. I suppose at least Dark Hound finally gets to shine, but considering that Zeheart was piloting like an idiot, it's not really that impressive.
* Next episode: oh joy, the final boss is a guy who's spent all the time up to now asleep in a tube. It's finally time for AGE-FX to accomplish something after taking down one Danazine this episode.

You know what just dawned on me? How on earth did Fram survive up until she got blasted away? Obright cut open her cockpit and her helmet was smashed exposing her to the vacuum of space.......

It's especially disapointing compared to the game, in which Asemu sends Kio and Flit on ahead (creating drama because he's gonna take on the strongest enemy unit with arguably the weakest Gundam) and he and Zeheart have a climactic duel with Asemu's gen 2 theme playing in the background.

Here he just chops him up without dramatic fanfare. And there's no tension because Flit and Kio are standing right there in case things go south.

If anything it makes Zeheart look even stupider for attacking all 3 Gundam's in a blind rage.

That would have been pretty impressive to see. I would have just been happy if they extended the fight a bit and included Asemu's theme since it would have made for a great fight.

Kind of similar to that flashback to the 'fight' with SID. Got the result of who won and lost, but that's about it.

In my opinion, the greatest folly of Gundam Age is trying to cram three whole series into one.
