Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Character Creation and Discussion (second reincarnation)

I got something in the works for a ViVid story and a new OC but I also have a couple of reports due for class in the next two weeks or so so it's going to have to go on the back burner for now. Assuming it ever comes off again, give it three weeks or so and I'll have a new character profile and possibly a chapter ready for review. In the meantime, here's something for the haxxbusters to chew on.

Rare Skill: Elemental Alignment
An extremely rare mutation of a linker core's ability to process elemental energies. Not to be confused with mana conversion affinities, which are significantly less rare than this ability.

A mana conversion affinity is a special quality some linker cores possess that allows them to naturally convert mana into elemental energies such as lightning, flame, or kinetic energy. An elemental alignment, on the other hand, is a linker core which processes elemental mana as its' default state instead of the non-elemental mana commonly wielded by most users of modern magic systems.

When compared to mages of similar levels and elements using elemental conversion affinities, nearly all mages with elemental alignments demonstrate much greater skill and power with their alignments. In addition, constant exposure to elemental mana leads to the mage's body acquiring a natural resistance to energies of their alignment; a fire-aligned mage becomes more resistant to heatstroke and burns, for instance, while a lightning-aligned mage has a very high chance of surviving being hit by a bolt of lightning (natural or otherwise).

Unlike mana conversion affinities, however, elemental alignments come with some rather severe downsides. Non-aligned mages require complex conversion algorithms to use elemental spells, but aligned mages require similar conversions to use any kind of magic other than their alignment, including non-elemental spells and utility magic like Area Search. What's worse, the manner of mutation that creates this rare skill makes the mage's linker core as unique as their fingerprint, so conversion algorithms developed by other mages -- even those with elemental alignments -- will not work for a mage with this ability; not only does the mage need to expend a great deal of effort to cast non-elemental spells, they also require the advanced math skills necessary to develop their own unique set of algorithms to even try to use non-elemental magic. Needless to say, this rare skill is more often regarded as a disability than it is a special ability.

i haven't posted in this thread for so long but i don't think that has any problems not being hax. Good god, can't use non-elemental abilities? I can't even think how such a mage would be particularly useful, and you can say "lol no" to any sort of combat versatility.

I think the point is to make one that's unuseful for either comedic or masochistic purposes.

You know, like how some hardcore RPG fans will play intentionally weak or disadvantaged characters...

You might be surprised. Most of Fate's spells are lightning-element and she's plenty versatile.

Main reason I came up with this is because I'm toying with the idea of a ViVid/Sailor Moon crossover where Vivio screws up a teleportation spell and winds up in Juuban circa the Death Busters arc on a different Earth variant than the one Nanoha hails from. The elemental alignment is supposed to explain the Senshi's elemental magic in Nanoha terms and also give them a bit of a competence boost (Vivio being able to run rings around the Senshi in her sleep might be an accurate assessment of their respective ability levels, but it's not all that interesting to read about). This one might even get written because I'm envisioning it as a "romp" fic, kind of like Seven Village Stomp. No complex plotlines to map out, no new villains with mysterious objectives that take 20 chapters to fulfill... just Vivio running around fighting monsters, pissing off the Outers, making friends with a certain planet-killing social outcast, and maybe saving the world somewhere along the way.

Second reason is for that OC I mentioned, who uses Gravity magic/telekinesis and is intended for another project entirely.

Sort of. It's more along the lines of Emiya Shirou's "I can't do much, but I've got this one ability I can kick your ass with..." kind of powerset.

Deep inside the depths of Archangel, beneath the layer of established pecking order and impenetrable security net, a domain of lawless space existed for the benefit of the Warden. It was here that those who broke the rules ended up, to be disciplined and destroyed.

A disarrayed order of rooms filled this domain, which had come to be known as Section T. Only whispers and rumors were heard about this hidden domain. Stories of torture and utter despair, told with disgust and a drowning fear from those who still had even the faintest of memories of their own experience there. The mention of Terror itself was a bane for their existence and sanity.

It was through these cramped, endless corridors that Wallachia was being hauled in the morning eclipse of space. Her sleep had been interrupted by the mechanized guardians of Archangel, the Naras; millions of small, nightmarish metallic spiders controlled by a central A.I, each equipped with its own neurotoxin. It was this very poison that now rushed through her veins, denying her control of her own limbs. Several times she had been carried through these corridors by the Naras' tickling, disgusting, legs in this state, but it had been a long time since the last visit. Idly, she wondered why.

A gate flung open, ramming its steel against the walls of the small white room, with two guards standing at attention inside. As the Naras brought her inside, the guards observed her with pity and anger. One of them wore a glare that spoke about friends lost to her mercy. He tapped his fingers in anticipation on the magical rifle strapped to his shoulder.

The Naras melted into a great, seamless hand and supported her body until it was upright, with her arms stretched out into the air, her body dangling free. Mechanical binds erupted from the walls and grabbed hold of her wrists and ankles. The Naras detached, slithering down her body in a solid wave of silver, and disappeared into microscopic holes in the walls.

The neurotoxin's duration in her bloodstream was exact. As soon as the Naras had left the room, Wallachia's dull mind and paralyzed limbs began to return to their former sharpness in a slow pulse of awareness. An eerie silence, only crowded by the heavy, excited breathing of the guards, welcomed her as she surveyed the room enclosing her being.

Not the slightest detail had changed since her last visit. The walls were still smooth, white as snow, devoid of stains. It was such a clinical space, indicating nothing of its intended purpose. It had always been so different from her former home, she thought.

She cast a glance at the binds preventing her to move. A sigh escaped her lungs, one of boredom. Even the crucifixion had been done in the same old way as in her previous visits. If there was something the staff lacked, she mused, it was creativity.

"So this is Bloody Seven," one of the guards said and regarded her with interest. "And she did all that?"

"Yep, she sure did. It's not like I can forget." The guard who had on her entrance regarded her with greater hostility and anger sighed. "You know what ticks me off the most? I'm not allowed to lay a fucking finger on her, unless she does something hostile. It's retarded, I tell you."

"But wasn't she punished for what she did?"

Wallachia stared at them, switching between the two.

"She sure was, but by the administration. I didn't get my share of fun."

"That sucks, man." He looked at the room they were in, searching for something. "Is this room being observed as we speak?"

"Yeah. Trust me, I tried to find a way, but..."

The door opened again, interrupting him, and another man arrived at the room, dressed in a labcoat and carrying a black, antique suitcase.

"You two, step back and be alert," he immediately said upon entering. The authority almost shone from him.

The guards grunted and, with some reluctance, did as they were told. The man in the labcoat put down the suitcase onto a small table and with a fast flick of his hands, the suitcase's locks opened and revealed its contents.

"It's a pleasure to see you again, Seven. It's been quite a while."

Wallachia smiled as she remembered the name of the face in front of her. "Hammond, right? Thought I'd recognize such a pathetic face."

"Still as eager to tease, eh?" He retrieved a syringe from the suitcase and tapped it with a finger. "You'll be given something special today. A real treat for being such a nice and obedient girl, courtesy of the Warden. And myself, of course."

"Of course. I must say, the Warden really treats me well."

"Is that sarcasm I hear or are you actually being honest?" He laughed and turned to face her. A grin had spread across his face as he spoke. "Look at this syringe. Inside, it's a marvel of advanced combinations of chemicals. It's been worked on for months now and you, my dear Seven, will be the first to try it. I've put my own sweat and blood into this wonderful substance, and I'm excited to see how it will work."

"To be honest, Hammond, I doubt it will work," Wallachia retorted with a sarcastic smile. "Just take a good look at yourself and realize; you are worthless. You're just a pawn that the Warden will discard whenever he wants. Although frankly, that would be a fitting end for your career. You haven't exactly succeeded in the science department."

The corner of Hammond's mouth twitched as he stepped closer, but he didn't give in for the insult. "We'll see. We'll see."

He pinched her skin on her left arm with two fingers and slowly inserted the red hot needle through the bulge between his fingers, a trickle of blood appearing at the point. It stung as it usually did, but Wallachia was used to it. Only a swift blink of her eyes gave away the discomfort.

"Now... This is where I can finally see the fulfilment of my creation," Hammond whispered and pushed the plunger with deliberate slowness.

A few seconds passed. She could feel the fluid slip through her veins and disappear without a reaction. Hammond was grinning in front of her, almost rubbing his hands together in excitement. She sneered at him in defiance.

"It won't work, Hammond. I'm too strong for you. Why won't you realize that?"

Her throat suddenly contracted, no longer able to spout more insults at the grinning scientist. A pounding cramp conquered every muscle in her body. Her back straightened itself and it felt as if her chest was going to explode. Her blood started to rush in an insane storm, her heart barely keeping up with the flow.

Explosions erupted inside her head, a deafening booming eachoing the collapse of her mind. The drug took a hold of every cell in her body, turning them all inside out, as a piercing pressure began to build at the front of her head, threatening to rip her skull open.

She wanted to scream from the intolerable pain. She wanted to yell her throat dry, as the drug raped her being. Yet, her body refused to obey her tormented pleas. It kept on living, through the insane chaos of torture that made one wish for a quick end. An escape from the darkness that had now enveloped her.

Images of past events flashed past in her distorted mind, merged into an unintelligible mess of hallucination and reality. She could feel the taste of blood on her tongue, feel the entrails on her hands of a boy she had ravage beyond recognition. Everywhere there were corpses aflame, the smell of burnt flesh flooding her nose and a red ocean covering the ground.

With another flash she was overturned and beaten to an inch of her life. Next there was hands all over her body, searching and groping and feeling. A body pushing itself against hers, thrusting and panting. Humiliation hitting her in its full, impossible, force. A pain she had never felt before torturing her body. The Warden's face looming above, drenched in sweat and a savage grin haunting his distorted face.

A knife suddenly flicked, slashing her gut open. Her stomach exploded, her entrails hanging out in a mishmash of meat and blood. She tried to pick it up and put it back, inside her stomach where it belong. Too slippery. It wouldn't stick. She grunted and cried out of desperation. It just wouldn't fit back in.

Someone laughed at her. An echo, evolving into a thousand voices laughing in unison. It overtook her mind, her cries to stop drowned out by it. She yelled at them to shut up, only a voice among many that wouldn't be heard. She clenched her head in her arms, trying to block the voices out, to no avail. The laughing grew, louder and louder. She screamed, as it was the only thing she could do.

Then, it stopped. The gallery of images from hell and the chorus of voices disappeared into a dark, peaceful and silent void she now drifted through, her body and mind still aching. Down below, far, far beyond the borders of space, she could see a little girl with her parents, laughing to their hearts' content. Next, the same girl and a young man, a faint recognition hitting her mind. They talked and laughed, love growing out of nothing but a destined meeting.

The tearful farewell, the bloody murder of the girl's parents. A journey through the darkest hours and gory rumors. The girl had gone insane, having a blast on other people's lives. The golden time of a lifetime.

A miscalculation and a sacrifice. She could see the girl being dragged off into the hell which she herself now dwelt. She could feel the girl's torment running through her own. The drugs twisting her mind into mush, the constant insults hurled from the mouths of sneering guards. The abuse and violation surging through her like shock wave.

A cold wind touched her cheek and in the darkness she turned around, to face her old mentor once again. He had a warm, inviting smile, holding his arms ready to embrace, but she couldn't move into them, to feel that warmth again. She couldn't move her body, limited only to observe.

Then his features began to change. The young man, whom she had loved so dearly, melted into a shapeless abomination of flesh and tissue, with the mark of an armor she recognized bright as day. The familiar red color and its texture told her mind exactly what she was looking at.

Tentacles of meat extended towards her. She could feel its honest intent; to hug, to comfort. Slowly she drifted towards the abomination. She felt no smell, nor fear. She had nothing to fear from it, regardless of its appearance.

The meat embraced her, slabs of it dripped onto her and blood flowed down over the two. She felt with her hands over it, sticky from the fluid that covered it. It was here, at last. The final obstacle.

"Thank you," she said softly. "But I'm a big girl now. I don't need you anymore. Goodbye."

With a swift hand she impaled the abomination. A bloody fountain erupted from the hole in its back and a high-pitched, gut-wrenching scream destroyed the silence in the void. They drifted apart, the flailing of the abomination slowly coming to a stop and Wallachia herself drift backwards into the dark.

Then it all returned. As if she had emerged from the ocean's depth, light and voices broke through and the pain made its re-entrance, although it was now more subdued, with a red haze clouding everything. She could feel an odd inner peace emerging from the core of her being, and an overbearing thirst for power starting to build up in her veins. A spike of pain shot through her head and she gripped her temples with one hand on impulse. It was only a second later the revelation hit her, with faint surprise, that her shackles were no longer restraining her. She glanced up at her captivators, with a throbbing pain behind her eyes.

Hammond, still wearing an inexplicable grin, had backed away and was now frantically gesturing at the guards. That expression of his, one of delight and supremacy refused to erase itself, but started to mix with a sudden surprise and royal fear. He was partly blinded by his own perceived success, delaying his mind's reactions. The guards on the other hand were determined, but scared. She could smell it, feel it even. Her senses saw their fear as if they had been painted with it.

"Take her down!"

One of them jumped at her. Wallachia's reactions was impeded by the red haze settling over her vision and the aching pain all over her body, preventing her from dodging in time. He slammed into her forcefully and rammed her against the wall, a forearm across her throat. Behind him Hammond walked forth, another syringe ready.

Despite the pain and hunger, Wallachia began to push the guard back. Regardless of his superior size, towering over her almost twice as tall, his feet slipped backwards, unable to get a proper grip. No matter how much he struggled the sudden immovable power flooding out of Wallachia refused to let him push her back. Sweat dripped from his brow and he could only stare into those red eyes of utter determination. She could almost taste the horror rushing in his mind.

With Hammond only half a meter away, syringe at the ready, Wallachia made her move. Slipping elegantly to the side, she got a better grip of the guard and kicked at his knee. The noise of crushed bones echoed forth and the guard shrieked like a pig, losing his balance strutting around on one leg. With a powerful push from Wallachia he fell backwards, onto Hammond and the syringe. It pierced the back of the guard's neck, injecting its chemicals before breaking into two, and they inelegantly tumbled to the floor.

Without stopping, Wallachia rushed towards the other guard. He was starting to panic, his determination crumbling. He wasn't thinking clearly, shaking in his clothes and his mouth gaping open at the scene unfolding. Yet, he had the awareness to fire his rifle he now clutched with white knuckles.

The shot went wide and missed by a good margin. She was moving too fast for his panic-stricken mind to comprehend. She enjoyed it a lot. This fear, the horror-struck expression he made on his face. He probably had even wet his pants.

He took another shot, this one actually nudging its target by sheer luck. Wallachia felt a sting on her right thigh, but kept on going. The hit had only drawn blood on the surface, incapable of even slowing her down.

Within another second she was upon him. She grabbed his wrists, and as he dropped the rifle, pulled him close to her face, grinning in delight. His teeth were clenched, his eyes wide open.

Before his mind could register what was happening, the veins within his wrists was ripped out by Wallachia's sharp teeth. Warm blood sprouted into her mouth, filling her with that orgasmic sensation she hadn't felt for so long. Her power increased, the energy within tipping her over the edge. It was all a sea of euphoria. For one small second, all of her pain disappeared. The throbbing in her head was gone, and the haze faded into nothing.

Another shot rang out and brought her out of her delusion. This time it had been well-aimed, only passing a centimeter from her head. She released the guard, who fell against the wall, screaming and kicking in terror at his wrists bleeding all over him. She turned around slowly, to stare at Hammond with a gun in his hand. It didn't shake, nor was he grinning anymore.

"Please, stand down," he said. It was the voice of authority again, but without the humor. He had realized he'd lost control. "Please, just fucking stand there and wait for my beautiful creation to do what it's designed for."

He didn't bat an eyelash at the two guards who had just been mauled. He only cared for his creation. Wallachia was fine with that. She didn't care either way. From the corner of an eye she could see the return of the Naras, coming from holes in the walls. The small spiders amassed into a solid lump that surrounded her completely, just barely touching her feet. Someone had called for them.

"Haha, what perfect timing." Hammond lowered his gun and gestured at the Naras. A relieved smile appeared. He hadn't called for them she thought. "You guys are real saviors."

Wallachia knew all too well what the Naras were capable of... Yet, she couldn't feel any intention to harm in the way they moved. She didn't know how, but something told her they were under control, posing no danger to her at all. She removed her gaze from them and gave Hammond a stare of the purest ice. Slowly she took a step forward. The Naras cleared away from her feet. The sea of mechanical spiders moved with each step and cleared a path to Hammond.

Hammond froze and his smile was gone. He could see the Naras getting out of her way and he knew he mustn't stay there any longer. But his body didn't want to move. His eyes were utterly transfixed on Wallachia's blood red eyes. He couldn't tear himself away from them, even if his mind screamed to his body to aim and pull the gun's trigger. Something unseen held him in place.

Closer and closer she came, until she stood right in front of him. They could feel each others breathing, almost hear the other's heartbeats. She could feel the pain again boiling beneath her skin. The red haze returned, heavier than before. She was losing her concentration. Almost there...

Below them the Naras were amassed, reporting everything back to the surveillance center. They could see and hear everything. Wallachia brought her mouth right next to Hammond's ear and whispered, "Frightened yet? Still high on your fake success?" She gripped his throat with her fingers and pressed lightly. "I'd just love to tear you open and bathe myself in your black blood. But even that is a too good thing for someone like you."

Her mind weakened, the excruciating pain returning, and her grip upon Hammond's soul released. As his limbs came back under his control, his being still shaken to the core from what had unfolded, he lost his grip of the pistol and dropped it into the sea of Naras. Sweat ran down his face and he stared, with rage in his eyes and humiliation flaring on his cheeks, at Wallachia.

"You... You'll pay for this!"

Regaining his senses, he dove for the pistol. Wallachia did nothing, only watching. His hand threw itself into the Naras to retrieve it, but several sudden and painful stings made him pull back.

"What..." he whispered and stared at his hand unbelievingly. Red blemishes came forth, hundreds of them. His mind raced towards what it meant. Of course he knew what would happen. The knowledge he had of the Naras had always been comforting, but now it had switched to horror.

"It's your toxin," Wallachia mused. She'd walked backwards slowly and was now slouching, barely holding herself upright against the opposite wall. "You came up with it yourself. You must be so proud right now."

Hammond went down on his knees and his veins screamed from under his skin with vibrant red. The toxin had been injected far more than a human body could handle and his system pumped it around without knowing what it would do. She watched, amused, as the Naras began to crawl onto Hammond, their small thin legs tickling his skin.

His body unable to hold him up due to the toxin, he fell to his side, eyes of terror staring at the crawling spiders. The Naras covered him under their numbers and entered through his mouth and nose. Wallachia shuddered; even she was disturbed by the thought of having those horrifying creatures scouting her insides. She looked away, as Hammond's body convulsed as if possessed. A gurgle escaped his throat that was filled with saliva and a hand tried to reach for her, either asking for forgiveness or with an urge to strangle the last drip all the life her body contained. Then he went limp. His eyes became empty and the noises stopped.

The Naras came forth from his silent corpse, surging through Hammond's veins that moved and coiled around themselves as the Naras moved within. They dropped in black chunks from Hammond's disfigured face, and disappeared into the walls, leaving the room with only Wallachia and three mutilated corpses. They disappeared so fast it was apparent they were under direct control.

The thick red haze still covered Wallachia's vision, blinding her from the outside world. Her head still ached as if a heated nail was pressed against her brain. All the time, throughout the scene played out in the cell, images had flashed of grotesque mutilations and warped victims she had once gourged herself upon. She was almost disgusted by the sight, something that even surprised herself. She was supposed to like it, to embrace it, but it was just too much, too fast. Against her will she began to reflect upon it.

Her introspection, before it had even begun, was interrupted by banging on the locked door. She didn't recognize the voices yelling from the other side. Probably reinforcements she concluded and slid down on her side, joining the corpses. Chaos was still surging through her body, wrecking havoc on her mind.

She suddenly felt tired. A deep sleep beckoning beyond the horizon. It was scary, but she let it come. She closed her eyes. Against her closed eyelids, the bizarre images still played, in an orchestra of distorted colors and noises.

The Claw of Aligheri

I report my advice on the investigation on this artifact: at first I tough it could be from the ancient Belkan empire, but my research found out that it was much older than that would allow. This claw seems to be some sort of device; the energy that resides within it is huge. I could tell that the weapon has very powerful destructive abilities, even when its specific abilities are unknown. I have discovered that its energy generates some sort of magnetic pulse towards magic objects, like if it were trying to absorb or assimilate their energy. The purpose? I'm not sure, I'll conduct some more experiments to find out, but I'm afraid I'll be in the need for test subjects. Powerful ones, since none of the psychos or thugs I had used before survived. Perhaps we could use one of those TSBA mages? We could drag them into a trap or something. I need to think about this matter, and see what can I do. I'll also need more money and a better place to conduct my research. This hideout is falling apart! I can't work in these conditions! I'll be thankful if you can respond my message fast since time is most precious to me.

So, I'm finally concluding chapter 2 of WindS-B so I can move on to with this 4 chapter "alternate" story.

Spoiler for WindS-B - Chapter 2: Tailwind of Progress - Part 4:

[Eastern Mid-Childa, 12th District]
[Urban Area]

After the "commotion" at the cafe, Fuuko wanted the day to end fast before she overheats with embarrassement.
Luckily for her, it was almost time for plans Maren had mentioned.

The sun still high in the sky, streets lively as usual in Mid-Childa...out of the three worlds Fuuko has been in, Mid-Childa was the most lively of them.
At Earth, she never went out of Uminari City...but, out of the three, Elphora was the quietest.
The air is delicious and the wind makes waves in the seemingly endless oceans of grass surrounding the villa she lived in as a child.
Looking back at those times, there wasn't any sad memory in it, which made her wonder if she has been protected all this time...
...but she shrugged off such a silly thought.

While Fuuko spaced out, Maren stopped, "Here we are." She turned towards the building's doors.
"A hotel?" Fuuko looked at the tall building, she and Elly followed Maren into it.
At the lobby, the hotel staff noticed them come in and greeted them.

"Ma'am, your guests have arrived." the man at the counter spoke.
"Thank you." She replied. "Is my husband here as well?"
"No, but left a message earlier that he was on his way."
"I see. Then we will be joining our friends upstairs."
"Yes, Ma'am." He bowed slightly, "Have a nice stay."
"Thank you." She smiled, then turned to Fuuko and Elly, "Shall we go?"


They entered the elevator, Maren pressed the button for the 8th floor.
"Mother, is this..." She turned to her mother.
Maren smiled at her daughter, "Yes, we're throwing a small party for you."
"But...guests? Did you invite someone?"
"Yes. Unfortunately, not everyone could come."

"Of course not! Everyone's busy with work, for them to come to such a short notice party for me..." She spoke in a guilty tone.
"Fuu-chan..." Elly looks at her partner, worried.
"Fuuko." Maren lowers herself to her daughter's height and holds her hands, "Your father is always saying it, isn't he? Even if we're not related, we're all one big family."
"Ah..." Her eyes widen.
"Everyone loves you and saw you grow up, celebrating your birthday even if it's a few days off is still important to us." Maren claimed wholeheartedly.
"Mother..." Fuuko's expression softened.
"So don't blame yourself, okay?" the mother smiled to her daughter.
Fuuko nodded.

As they entered the room, Elly stopped as she saw a few familiar faces, not personally but she saw them in magazines or the news.
"Oh, they're here, they're here~" a blonde girl turned to the door as Maren and the girls walked in.
"Vi-nee!" A smile appeared on Fuuko's lips as she saw Vivio, who is now sixteen and growing into a fine lady.

"Hello everyone." Maren greets them. "Sorry if we kept you waiting."
"Not at all." Shamal assures her, "Time just flew by as we prepared the party."
"I'll help too." Maren hanged her coat and went help with the preparations.


"Fuuko, how's Academy?" Vivio asked, patting Fuuko's shoulder.
"Good training I guess, but not as demanding as Nanoha's or Nove's." She replied with a smirk.
(Nanoha?) Elly raised an eyebrow, (Where did I hear that name?)
"Haha...so true." Vivio turns to Elly, "And this girl? A friend?"
"Not really, she's my roommate at the Academy, and assigned partner." Fuuko sighs. "and I have to look after her for a while..."
"N-Nice to meet you!" Elly bowed, "I'm Ellyja Halvern."
"Vivio Takamachi, nice to meet you too." She smiled.
"Taka...machi?" Elly looked around, "...Ah." and there she was, Takamachi Nanoha, but...in Fuuko's birthday party?!
Vivio follows Elly's line of sight, "She's my mom, well, one of my moms." she waves at Nanoha, calling her.
"Happy Birthday, Fuuko." Nanoha smiles at Fuuko.
"Thank you, Nanoha-san." Fuuko bows slightly.

Nanoha looked at Elly. "And this girl? Fuuko's friend?"
"I-I'm her roommate and partner at the Academy, I tagged along today."
"I see, you should be fine with Fuuko as your partner. I'm Takamachi Nanoha, nice to meet you."
"Y-yes! Nice to meet you! I'm Ellyja Halvern, it's an honor to meet you ma'am!"

Elly was astonished...not only the Ace of Aces, Instructor Takamachi Nanoha, but she could see Commander Yagami Hayate, Subaru Nakajima from Disaster Relief's Special Rescue Team...such people in Fuuko's party?
(Are these people Fuu-chan's "family"?!) She said to herself as they came closer to greet Fuuko.

"Fuuuuuuu-chaaaan~~~" Out of nowhere, a woman embraced Fuuko.
Fuuko's face pressed against the assaulter's chest, "Mmhh!!"
Elly looks at the woman, wearing an Air Force uniform like Nanoha's, light pink hair tied with a yellow ribbon.
"My cute, cuuuute~ Fuu-chan~~" The woman swinged left and right as she hugged Fuuko.
Raising an arm, Fuuko patted the woman on the shoulder.
"Ah...hahaha, did I overdo it?" She let go of her.
"*gasp**gasp**gasp* Yui-ba--" Fuuko feels a piercing glare from above.
"Whaaaaaaat?" Yui looked down on Fuuko.
"Err...I-I mean...Yui-onee-sama, please contain yourself...my partner is watching."

Yui turns to Elly, "Hee~" and analyses her, top to bottom, then turns to Fuuko again, "Nice catch!" Yui gives her thumbs up.
"Wha?!" Fuuko and Elly say in unison.
"F-Fuuko..." Elly turns to Fuuko.
"Ahh...well, this person is my...hmm, my dad's younger sister." Fuuko then adds mentally, (She doesn't like to be called 'oba-san'.)
(I-I see...) Elly sweatdrops, "N-Nice to meet you. Ellyja Halvern" She bows slighty.
Yui nods, "Minawa Yui, nice to meet you~"
(W-What an energetic person...) Elly sweatdrops.

With the preparations done, another message of Koji came, saying he'll be there soon.
Everyone took their place as Fuuko took her's for a small speech.

"Ahem..." Fuuko cleared her throat, "Umm, I'm not very good with speeches..." she pauses, "I'd like to thank everyone for coming to this party, even though you're all busy with work."
"Um...it's been a while since I saw everyone, though not all could come, I'd like thank them too." Fuuko started blushing.
"So...hmm..mm-argh....I'm no good at this!" She shook her head while the guests giggled, they were used to Fuuko's embarrassement fits. "Let's just cheer and start already!"
"Cheers!" Everyone raised their glasses announcing the beginning of the party.


And for the next few minutes, Elly felt out of place.
After spending four months with Fuuko, she came to know how skilled her partner is...but to think she had such connections.
(Totally different levels...right?) Elly said to herself. (I knew Fuu-chan was amazing but...) Elly grew depressed by the second.

Seeing Elly depressed in a corner, Fuuko scowled, walked up to her and...
"Huwaah!" Elly suddenly felt something cold touching her cheek, she turns to look "F-Fuu-chan?!" She saw her partner holding up a drink.
"Here, have a drink."
"Thanks." Elly accepted the drink.

"So, what are you doing here in the corner?" Fuuko took a sip of her drink.
"W-Well...you see..." She hesitated.
"Spit it out...or I'll force it out of you." She glared Elly.
"Y-yes!" Elly flinched, "I-...Is it really okay for me to be here?"
"Huuuh?" Fuuko raised an eyebrow.
"We...aren't we're at completely different levels? It's like you keep running farther ahead than me and all I do is trip on my feet as I take a step."

(There she goes again...) Fuuko frowned as Elly continued diminishing herself in the background.
"...and it's because of Fuu-chan that I've managed to get so far in such a short time, but it makes me wonder if I'm a bur--owowowowoww!!" Elly snaps out when her cheek is pinched.
With an annoyed expression, Fuuko asks her partner, "Is that all you have to say?"
"Huuehh?" Elly looks at her, confused.
"You know, this is a party, P-A-R-T-Y. Don't go ruining the mood with your negative points of view...geez." She lets go of Elly's cheek.
"S-sorry..." Elly rubs her pinched cheek.

Fuuko sighs, "What's with you? Every now and then you get into that mood. Is it 'that' again?"
Elly blushed from one ear to the other, "F-F-F-Fuu-chan?!"
"A-n-y-w-a-y!" Fuuko looked at Elly seriously.
"Y-Yes?" She stood straight.
"Did you forget the progress you made in the last months? And how your grades got better?" Fuuko points it out to Elly.
"Ah..."
"Honestly, how many times do I have to hammer this into your thick head?"
"Sorry..."
"Aren't you supposed to be the 'stand up and try again' type?"
"Ahahaha...you're right, mhm, that's right." Elly smiles, "I guess I was intimidated from of all this. And seeing how Fuu-chan has so many connection to famous people..."

Fuuko looks at everyone in the party, smiles and closes her eyes.
"'Parents provide the setting, but it's their children that write the story.'" Fuuko quotes.
"Huh?" Elly blinks, confused.
"My grampa said that to me when I was little...do you get the meaning behind it?"
"Hmm...it's up to us to make our own story?"
"Well...something like that." Fuuko looks at everyone again, "These people are here now because my parents met them before I was born, and thanks to that, I met them."
Elly nods, watching a woman with pink hair fashioned into a ponytail, apparently teasing Fuuko's mother with some conversation she can't hear.
"Following that logic, you met me, thus meeting them." Fuuko turns to Elly, "Got it?"
"A...." It finally shone on Elly.
"Now that you got it, go on and mingle, mingle!" Fuuko pushes her from the corner.
"Eh?!"
"Oh, and see that red-haired girl with the braids, she's much older than you think, so try not to treat her like a kid."
"B-but..." She looks at Fuuko over her shoulder.
"At least introduce yourself to those you haven't met and chat a little...and if you don't..." Fuuko smirks, "I'll triple your training~"
"A-again?!!" Elly panicked, knowing very well what she'd get into if she didn't do it.
"If you don't want that to happen, get going!"
"Y-yes!!" Elly headed towards the group of guests in a hurry.


Fuuko sighed, "That girl is so troublesome to look after..."
"That was good advice." Vivio walked up to her.
"V-Vi-nee..." Fuuko blushed.
"Here's your reward~" Vivio smiled as she kept petting her head.
"U-uuu..." Fuuko blushed further.
"You made a good friend." Vivio watches Elly introduce herself to Subaru.

"*sigh* Being with that girl makes we feel like I'm the older one..."
"But you like it, don't you?" Vivio smirked.
"...m-maybe a little." She looked away, taking a sip of her drink.
"With this I know that Fuuko can be a good older sister." Vivio adds.
Fuuko spittakes when she heard the comment, "W-w-what?! D-D-Don't tell me that Mother is-"
"Aaah...no, it's not what you're thinking!" Vivio waves her hands to deny Fuuko's assumption.
"Phew...don't scare me like that, Vi-nee." Fuuko sighed with relief.
"Sorry." Vivio giggled, "Oh, Rio and Corona said they had something to give you, why don't you go over to them?
"Eh? What about you?" Fuuko blinked at Vivio's strange behavior.
"I'll go grab something to eat over there, I'll be right with you." Vivio points over to a nearby table.
"O-ok..." Fuuko does as told and walks over to Rio and Corona, who are talking to Nove.


(Phew...) Vivio sighed, (Have to be more careful.)
She looked at Fuuko and Rio greeting eachother with their fists, (Sorry, Fuuko...you won't have any brothers or sisters, if that happens...they'll...)

I'd probably be better off doing this in comic style...but...that would demand a lot of time, something I have a hard time managing (mostly my fault )

After roughly 20 minutes, the door to the hallway opens...
"Yo~! Sorry we're late." Koji came in holding a box, and accompanied by Chrono.
"More like you're late, you made me tag along. Get a driver's licence already." Chrono commented.
"Hahaha...Maren likes to drive, so I let her."

Everyone in the party turned towards the door, Maren walked up to Koji.
"I'm back, Maren."
"Welcome back." She greeted her husband, taking his coat.
The two kept looking at eachother.
Chrono sighed, moving away from them as he gave his tie some slack. "Really, 10 years and still acting newlyweds..."
"Hehe~" Koji scratched the back of his head as he heard that.

Elly looked at the two men that came in, (That person is Fuu-chan's father...looks like an average person. But to act like that with Admiral Harlaown.)
She then looked at Fuuko, who was staring at her father, with an expression she couldn't quite decipher.
Koji noticed and smiled at Fuuko, who adverted her look.
Elly had an impression since she saw Fuuko's reactions at the Academy, but this would confirm it...
She's in bad terms with her father...or something like that. But the father doesn't seem to be bothered by it...so it may be one-sided.


After greeting everyone, Koji walked up to Fuuko and Elly. "You must by Ellyja, right?"
"Ah, Y-yes!" She stood straight, "Ellyja Halvern, nice to meet you sir!" She bowed.
"Minawa Koji, nice to meet you."
"Eh? Koji...? TSAB Enforcer Assistant and Saint Church Knight...that Koji?" She asked.
"Oh? You heard about me?"
"...Fuu-chan."
"Hmm? What?" She looked at her partner.
"Y-your father is the Demon Knight of Swords?!" She turned to Fuuko shaking all over.
"Yeah...I thought you knew already. After all, there aren't that many people named Minawa here in Mid-Childa."
"Hahah...you heard of that too, it's a bit embarrassing." Koji scratched his cheek.
"All that managed to upset that knight would be beaten to a pulp until they apologized and begged for forgiveness."
"That's basically it." Fuuko sighs. "Well, it's mostly the other sides' fault, insulting Mother is a serious offense."
"Mhm, quite right." Koji nods.
Elly sweatdrops, (These two are really father and daughter...)

With the introductons over, Koji turns to his daughter and kneels over, "So, how's academy for you?"
Fuuko looks away, "Fine, I guess..."
"It's fun, I see, I see." He nodded, patting her head.
Elly just watched Fuuko blushing while being passively reluctant and her father reading her like and open book.

"It's good to know that everything's fine." Koji turns to Maren, who hands over the box he came in with, and presents it to Fuuko. "Here."
"Hmm?" She looked at the simple box. "What's this?"
"Although it's a little late...Happy Birthday."
"...T-Thanks." She nodded, taking the box.
"Open it when you get back, ok?"
"What's inside?" She raised an eyebrow as she checked the box.
"That's a secret~" He smiled.
"...It better not be some flashy new clothes." Fuuko glared at her dad.
"Oh, don't worry, that's not it." He paused, "Those are at home for you to try them on the next day off~"
Silent, Fuuko frowned then sighed. It's something she's used to...it can't be helped.

"Then...next issue." Fuuko glared once more.
"Yes?" He smiled as usual.
"The first day of Academy, you went through my bag and switched my training equipment..."
"Ah, yes...and how were they?"
"That's besides the point! You went through a girl's personal belongings!"
Koji waved his finger, "Correction, I went through my cute daugther's personal belongings~"
"That makes it sound even worse!" She raises her voice a level.
"Ah, but Papa knows. Fuuko is the most graceful when wearing tight or legless clothes."
"W-well, that's true but--" Before she can finish, Koji interrupts her.
"I even have some pictures and movies to prove~" He pulled out his device from under his shirt,
"Argh! Stop embarrassing me!" Fuuko grabbed her father by the collar of his uniform and shook him.
"Hahaha~" Koji laughed as Fuuko shook him, "Ellyja, would you like to see some pictures of Fuuko when she was little?"
"EH? Can I?!" Elly stepped closer.
"You too?!" Fuuko glared at her partner.

The party continued for a couple of hours, with games, karaoke...and Hayate's mischiefs.
Doing as told, Fuuko saved the box for when she and Elly returned to the Academy.

The two girls return to their room in the Academy's dorm, tired but satisfied.
To Fuuko, that day went by too fast, she was happy to see her mother and friends but she wanted to spend more time with them.
Such thoughts though, were only going through her heart, in her mind, she scolded herself for being too attached and being pampered by them.
She's a grown girl now, she can't have such thoughts when less than hour has passed since she saw them....so she thought.

Fuuko goes over to her desk and sets the box she got from her father. (...birthday present?)
Even though she always received many gifts on her birthday, this year she was in the Academy, a proper party could not be thrown.
But it was promissed that once she graduates and passes the TSAB Mage Rank exam, the party will be bigger than ever.

(Bigger than ever...huh?) she thought, undoing the red ribbon on her hair.
Having changed to her pajamas, she grabs her hair and ties it all together with the same ribbon.

Elly, already readying herself to go to bed, noticed Fuuko was still staring at the box.
"Umm...why don't you open it?"
"Eh?" Fuuko snapped out of her train of thought. "Oh...yeah, I guess."

Guessing is pointless since opening the box will solve the mistery, Fuuko undid the ribbon wrapped around the box and...opened it.
"..........!!" Fuuko's eyes were wide open.
"Fuu-chan...what's wrong?
"...i...i" Her body shook.
"i?" Elly blinked.
"Inarizushi~~" All the tension in her melted away as she saw her favorite food.
"Eh? What?" Confused, Elly looked at her roommate.
"Food from Earth~ My favorite~" She showed the box's contents to Elly.

Elly blinked, inside were several pouch-shaped things that were apparently deep-fried.
The food did look interesting, but on Elly's list, Fuuko's unexpected behavior beat the food by far...

Ecstatic, Fuuko contemplated the many inarizushi inside the box, she was so overjoyed with it that it took a while to realize.
Mid-Childa doesn't have Inarizushi...and this aroma was undoubtable proof that it was made by Koji's mother, her grandmother.
Koji had gone all the way to Earth and get Inarizushi made by his mother just for a belated birthday present...
Her eyes shimmered...how can she be mad at him if he keeps doing stuff like this?
The mixed feelings squeezed her heart...there was only one way to make it go away, to forget it for now.

So, she picked up a single inarizushi from the box and closed it.
...still warm...
"Eh? You're going to eat it now?"
"Got a problem with it?" Fuuko glared at Elly.
"N-No, not really..." Elly backed off, (Is she going to be alright? We ate a lot at the party...)
"Ah-mu" Fuuko bit the small pouch and the flavor inside quickly spreads. "Mmmm~~" She shivers.

Though watching Fuuko's new reaction was fun, Elly was tired, and it was getting late...
"Well, I'm going to sleeee...!!" Elly's eyes widened as she saw something Fuuko isn't supposed to have: long, ponty and furry ears, and a thick furry tail?!
"What's wrong?" Fuuko looked at Elly over her shoulder, before taking another bite on the half-eaten inarizushi in her hand.
"Y-y-y-y-you, you're a familiar?!" She pointed at her tail.
"Uhh?" She followed her pointing finger, "...GEH!?"
"T-that's...transformation magic...right?" Elly tried to remain calm.

With her free hand, Fuuko scratched the back of her, "If you saw it, it can't be helped..."
She ate the rest of the inarizushi, took a handkerchief to clean her hand, folded it and set it on her desk.
"......" Elly stayed silent, staring at Fuuko's new appendage.

Pulling the chair from her desk, she turned it towards Elly and sat on it, tail resting on her lap...she stroke it as if it was somekind of pet.
"It's not exactly a secret, but people tend to fear someone that doesn't fit 'Human' or 'Familiar' category."
"So...it's not transformation magic?" She asks again.
"It's similar, but at the same time, different...I was born with these." She pointed at the ears on top of her head and patted her tail.
"Then, you got them from either-"
Fuuko interrupts, "Mother, she's a fox, dad is human."
"That means..."
"Demi-human, halfbreed...there's many words to what I am..." She explains with a solemn face.
"Mother belongs to a race of foxes that have the natural ability to change into human form...they mostly live hiding and avoid human contact unless necessary."
Elly nodded, a sign for Fuuko to continue.

"Their normal lifespan is about 10 times that of a human...with some exceptions."
"Te-ten!? Then, Fuu-chan's mother is..."
Fuuko thinks, "Hmm...about 270 I think, oh, after the 200th year an aditional tail grows every 100 years they live. So Mother has two tails, while I have one."
"Then how old are you?" Elly asks.
"I'm the age I appear, for now...soon my growth will slow down and eventually even people younger than me will outgrow me."
"That's--"
"Inevitable, well...I'm a halfbreed, so maybe my lifespan is half of a fullbreed."
"...sad." Elly finished her previous sentence.
"Huh?"
"Watching every one grow older and while you stay the same..." Elly's expression saddened as she imagined it.
"Yes...eventually my dad...and everyone in today's party will grow old and die...and only me and Mother will stay behind."
"Even though they love eachother so much?"
"It can't be helped, humans don't live that long...and if I'm a half, I'll eventually grow older than Mother and..."
"Don't say it!!!" Elly jumped from bed and hugged Fuuko.

"....What are you doing?" Surprised, she looked at her partner.
"Don't say such sad things..."
"I'm only stating the truth."
"Still..." She hugged her tigher. (I don't like so see Fuu-chan like this...cold and realistic...like she's a compeletely different person.)

"....o-oi."
"What?"
"Can't brea-"
"Awa! S-Sorry!" Elly let her go.
"*wheeze*....Trying to kill me or something?" She glared.
"Sorry, got a little caught up." She apologizes.

"Anyway..." Fuuko stroke her tail to straighten the ruffled fur. "I told you this, so you know what it means?"
"If I squeal, I'm done for?" She playfully sticked out her tongue.
"...there's that too."
"R-REALLY?!" She panicked.
"It's a joke..."
Elly sighed in relief "...it's really a joke, right?"
"It is...now answer."
"Hmm...it means Fuu-chan trusts me?" She smiled wholeheartedly.
Looking away, Fuuko blushes ".............y-yeah."

"It'll be ok! I'll protect Fuu-chan's secret! Eh-hem!" Elly sticked her chest out with pride.
"I hope you realize how serious this is..." Fuuko interrupted her 'moment of glory'.
"Eh?" Elly blinked.
"I'm a rare, if not unique lifeform...if this leaks, some shady scientists would love to get their hands on me." She stated seriously.
Seeing that face, Elly swallows hard.
"Don't worry." Fuuko smirked. "I rarely use this form here in Mid-Childa, and even if someone tries to capture me, I won't go without a fight."
"Mhm!" Elly nods. "And I'll protect you too!" She said all fired up.

"Heh...before you say that, you should train harder." Fuuko grins, "And as soon as the training fields are adjusted, we'll go back to the usual schedule."
"U-uuuuu~" and her mood quickly switches over to gloomy.
"But until then, rest. It's pretty late so--" Fuuko was preparing to climb to her bed when Elly interruped.
"Wait."
"What?" Half way on the ladder, she looked down on Elly.
"You're not chaging?" She pointed at her tail.
"Ah, it's been a while so I'll sleep like this and change in the morning."
"Then..." Making some space, Elly patted on the empty space, "Let's sleep together~"
"Haaa?" Fuuko's expression turned into a surprised one, with a hint of red on her cheeks.
"Just this once...please?"
"M-muu..." Fuuko's eye twitched, then looked away, "J-just this once...got it?"
"Mhm!" She nodded happily.

Though a bit reluctant, Fuuko joined Elly in her bed.
"D-do we really need to sleep facing eachother?!" She blushed.
"Yes~" Elly looks at Fuuko and giggles "Hehe~"
"W-what? It's creepy if you laugh like that..."
"It's like I got a little sister~"
"Uhm...I guess so. Uwa!" Elly pulls Fuuko closer to her. "What are you--"
"Hmm...Fuu-chan is nice and warm~" She hugs Fuuko tightly.
"Really..." Fuuko sighs, "You're older than me, but you're so spoiled."
"Hehehe~" Elly's hands start sliding down Fuuko's back.

"H-hey?! What are y---hiyaaa~!" Her eyes open widely as something is unexpectedly grabbed.
"Just as I thought...it's so warm~"
"H-h-heeey, d-don't....not there. Ugh!" The fox-girl winces.
"So soft too~"
"W-What are...you do--ngh!" Fuuko can hardly speak from the stimulation.
"Ah, this? Back when I hugged Fuu-chan, your tail got stuck between us and it felt warm so, since it's been getting colder lately, I thought this could keep me wa---"*SMASH!*

"Haa...Haaa...haa" jumping out of Elly's bed, Fuuko breathed heavily , "I...I'm not your personal bedwarmer!!" She shouted.
"Ow ow ow..." Elly rubbed her head.
"Don't go touching my tail so easily!" She said blushing furiously, (It's a really sensitive area!)
"S-sorry, I won't do it again, so come back in." Elly apologized, leaving the space for her to get in.
"Like hell I will!" She started climbing the ladder, "and I'm triplin--no, quintupling your training! Starting tomorrow!!"
"What? Noo...pwease, Fuu-chan~~~" Elly begged.
"Go to sleep! We're waking up early tomorrow!"
"Ueeh~ Fuu-chan~~"

While Elly sniveled in her bed, Fuuko inside the bedsheets held her knees, her tail between them.
(baka..............that felt good.) She blushed, hugging her tail.

Meanwhile...Koji and Maren were at a medical office with Shamal.

"As you might have deduced, I called you here because I got the test results."
"Judging by your face, it's not good."
"I'm afraid it's worse than I expected..." Shamal opens the file and browses through it.
Koji and Maren hold hands, "So...how much time?"
"3 years...maybe 4 if we're lucky."
"I see..." Maren lowers her head.
"I think you two should tell this to Fuuko as soon as possible. Before she notices it herself."
"We'd like to...but if we do, she won't be able to focus on her career." Koji forces a smile.
"I guess you're right, that girl looks like the calm and collected type, but she's actually one that lets her emotions take over. Just like a certain boy I know."
"Hahahah...." Koji laughed, embarrassed.

"We need more time, until she's grown enough as a person, then we can talk to her." Maren comments.
"That's the only choice we have at the moment..." Shamal paused, "But she's a smart girl, it's only a matter of time until she realize something is wrong with you two."
"We just have to be careful." Koji got up from his chair, presented his hand to Maren, like a gentleman.

"Best of luck...that's all I can do." Shamal smiled.
"Thank you." Maren bows and the couple leaves.

Outside...Koji and Maren walk towards the parking lot.
"3 years, huh?" Koji repeats.
"I'm sorry..."
Squeezed her hand gently, "Don't apologize, it was my choice after all."
"But..." Maren looks at her husband.
"I don't regret it...never did, never will." Koji smiles at his lovely wife.
"Thank you." She returns his kindness with a smile.
Koji nods, "We'll just have to make the best of the time we have left."
"...Yes." Maren holds his hand tighter.

@FlameSparkZ: Welcome back too! It's been a while since we saw your fics with your awesome drawings. Fuu-chan is CUTE~ . I like Elly as well. It's not often that you see a slightly unreliable onee-chan figure who also doubles as a comic boke partner. *SHOT!*

I'm worried about Maren and Koji, though. Did their contract all those years ago have some sort of long-term bad effect?

With all the interesting stuff having over the MGLN A’s Portable: The Battle of Aces, I’ve been stewing up something in my mind for quite some time now. Thanks to the translation on the pre- and post-battle dialogue over in the A’s game thread, I’ve been able to finalize it.

The end result is this:

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha: A’s to StrikerS Portable: FragmentS.

Basically, it’s an OC knock-off based on the A’s game on the PSP. The main point of this idea is to have Nanohaverse (CC and OC) characters face off against ‘Fragments’ or fakes of other characters which are essentially similar to the Dark Pieces in the original game (I’m still not quite done with the premise where a Lost Logia traps several characters in a dimension where Fragments of their personalities break off and are given life as opponents). I found making matchups and the subsequent dialogues/scenarios before and after the fight to be quite entertaining.

It’s also fun to think of on facet of a characters’ personality and bring it to life as a Fragment, embodying a specific character trait or strong emotion of the original. For clearer examples from the original game, we have the Wolkies with versions ranging from before they met Hayate and those that don’t even remember themselves (heck, there was one part where Dark Piece Shamal realized that she wasn’t real in Signum’s route). We also have emo-emo!Fate and the absolutely lovable very childish Dark Peace Hayate (sic). The same concept applies for FragmentS.

Rather than trying to make fight scenes, this method gives a lazy nifty little window for easy character development simply through dialogue. I prefer to imagine this game to play similar to Dissidia: Final Fantasy; complete with the very nicely animated pre-battle cutscenes. It’s more fun imagining them moving rather than floating at one place while the camera just pans around. And like Dissidia, the several routes for the playable characters have overlapping stories with each other.

So far, I have made two scenarios. The first is with Aurion (who goes with the flow and regards the Lost Logia fiasco as an interesting experiment to personally see some of the inner personalities of the other people who got involved) coming across one of Hayate’s Fragments (hilarity ensues) and the second one dealing with Nanoha facing off against Fragment Aurion. I also have a few other scenarios in mind but I’ve yet to type them out. (Next up is a scenario with Fragment Nanoha)

Since the OC Thread is quite inactive right now, I imagine that this should be a quick and easy mini-mini fic activity to help pick up the pace. The sky is the limit with the possible match-ups. Just remember that the characters should be present by the A's to StrikerS (Aces are 15 years old) timeline and that Fragments should have a believable morsel of the base character's personality that may or not be hidden. Well, I hope this will lead to some action here. If you guys decide to give it a shot, have fun!

Here are the two sample scenarios that I've typed up last night. (I followed the format the translators use in the game thread)

Aurion:
L-looking for me? Right…
Remind me what for.

Fragment Hayate:
Mou~~~! Pretending to forget just because you’re feeling lazy…
You promised to help me train, remember?!

Aurion:
Yeah… Right, I guess I did.
(Alright, if this is how it’s going to be I’ll play along.
But still, do Fragments emulate even the imaginations of the host or does one part of Hayate really…)

Fragment Hayate:
Otou-san!

Aurion:
Geh! What?
(Seriously, calling me her father? What sort of messed-up scenario is this?)

Fragment Hayate:
We’re you listening to me?

Aurion:
Ahh, sorry.
Something just entered my mind.

Fragment Hayate:
Hmph!
If you’re won’t bother to listen to me then we might as well start right now!

Aurion:
Alright, alright!
(I don’t think I want to prolong talking with this oddball Hayate anyhow.)

I already have Fate and Keroko meeting him in their routes in mind and I’ll type them out later. And also, there is another top secret character that I won’t spoil right now. But suffice to say that this character should be well-known for OC thread veterans (Don’t worry. This character is not H4XX at all.).

English version of Gundam Battle Assault with Heero Yuy anyone?

The only spice I can think of is Material-L being totally yan for Karl because he wouldn't look her way.
