What about...... a Cyber Kakine.

or or or....Itsuwa vs Misaka in the next novel over Touma.

Cyber=Kakine would have to be put on hold for awhile.

A Mikoto-Itsuwa throw down is possible but there's no guarantee that the Amakusa would be involved in the Hawaii mission, it'll be interesting if [New Light] was sent instead given the history they have with both Kamijou and Misaka.

They must have loads of reserves by now. Seriously, they're pumping him dry 24/7 since a good month now

The Amakusa can get involved with Gremlin via Kanzaki who belong to the 0th Parish from Necessarius.

New Light can be involved too since they can intercept Necessarius info.

Unless they've been using it for something other than those masks.

Well Kihara-kun Junior has mistaken Dark Matter for hair gel once.

It ended with him eating vaseline while screaming "BROTHEEERRR!!!"

Right.

Anyway, on the subject of Dark Matter: What exactly are those masks supposed to do? I haven't seen anything notable about them other than being made of Dark Matter.

I suppose that alone is enough?

Ultra-sharp wings to cut stuff.

There's really no point in making them if they don't do anything.

Then why not make a sword or something?

Then why not make a sword or something?
Because they would need sword skills. They easily blocked bullets with the wings. Also, the wings are effective against Muginos beams.

There is the thing that the wings where already "tested" to have several uses by Kakine himself. Perhaps the higher ups thought that "it was risky" to develop untested weapons using Dark Matter? Of course there is also the fact of the trolling, if they would have made a shield or something with them it wouldn't have "looked like Kakine" considering that he had seraph wings with his ability.

Well, considering that the "wings" are produced from the mask, I could not prevent myself from likening them to This, fact which I found quite amusing.

What's a good way to express 'ore-sama' in the english language? In a way thats close to the actual meaning as possible?

Ore-sama is typically an arrogant way to say the "great me" in first person. Some translators just use rudeness in the dialogue to express that arrogance, while others use "the great me" in the dialogue, but it still feels awkward in whatever sentence its used in.

Gundams..... there was a life-size gundam model built in Japan awhile back.

I've actually seen some translations use the Royal "We" in place of "the great me".

I assume you're talking about Fiamma's dialogue?

Yeah Fiamma's one such case, and there are many others like Cleo from Hidan no Aria. Holyness? Is it that being used for Holyness?

More like holier-than-thou.

You can't, it's lost in translation, just like the honorifics are. And sure, I've seen the 'ore-sama' in many manga and anime... nothing to do about it (which is why some translators leave those as it is, just adding an explanation somewhere.)

How about if one talks about themselves in the first and third person? For example, "I, (insert person's name), am..."
