So far so good . I won't usually jump on the bandwagon until at least a couple of episodes are out but it's sufficiently different to everything else I've seen so far this year to be interesting.

Shinku is... unintentionally quite amusing, I particularly like her 'slap' style - most painful ^^, and also :

Episode 2:

...why can't she just turn the handle??
I think she prefers to bully around her servant Jun .
Maybe she does not want to waste energy for such banal things. That would of course mean that she is going easy on Jun.

I know I shouldn't be posting this here, I hope the mods forgive me , but I'm trying to download ayu's episode 1 and 2 torrents and there ain't any seeds, I'm still at 0%... I posted at the resharing torrents thread to but I got no answer so, since you guys must have downloaded the files already, I was wandering if you could reshare them, please? Thanks in advance and sorry for the inconvinience...

EDIT: I got an answer already! Thanks Taliesin! so it's a problem with the tracker... ok I'll just wait... In the meantime, and since I haven't really read the previous posts, could you guys give me a little review and tell me what is this show about without spoiling it to much? I really want to watch it cuz I've been told this is from Bee-Train.

Shinku is already one of my favorite characters of the season. Her prim and proper attitude is just so funny.

This is gonna sound really bad since I fansub this show but:

Ya, I finaly watched my own "work" and this show so far is awsome.... the whole bitch slap maddness in ep 2 was hillarious not to mention the toliet scene... Ep 3 and 4 start getting more in depth with the story. Personaly I am intrested about how this "Alice Game" works out. I agree with most of you guys here, if it keeps with the moody darkness then this should be a good watch... but its so easy for the producers to screw this one up... but... I have faith... don't pull an Avenger!

Ok, not from Bee-Train, no need for review thanks, I already watched the first episode, this looks good It's kinda like a mix between Le Portrait de petit Cossette and Revolutionary Girl Utena (because of the rose thing) The opening theme by Ali Project is great, and I also like the music by Mitsumune Shinkichi, the character designs look cute and the art is beautifull, very bright colours... the story ain't bad either I wanna see more of this!

It is a nice series: it is so anti-Otaku (like Genshiken) and anti-climatic
in every possible way. What a piece of Brechtian work to dissisipate the
aura around anime!

Anime-Keep also has released first two episodes, their filesize and resolution are smaller (175 MB, 704x396) compared to Ayu's (~229 MB, 768x432), so if you want to pick up either group they both have advantages.
Anime-Keep translated opening credits and seiyuus in ending, so that is definitely good in my book.

I'm kind of suprised that neither of them used the 1024x576 captures.
They look like this (guess I should have saved it as a png):
Spoiler for a big one:

Come to think of it, didn't AF-F's Misaki Chronicles releases also have this resolution?

I'm not 100% sure whether or not those are the raws that are going into the encoding, but I know at least Ayu has them, since I used them for my softsub QC. I imagine one of our encoders could come along and give you a laundry list of technical reasons why we're using the resolution we are, so I'll refrain from that for the time being since I know next to nothing about encoding. For reference, though, they're in .mkv format and weigh in at somewhere between 400-500 megs each.

Well...all right, that's two reasons there, but I'm betting they've got more

Oh yes there is some reasons, lets brake it down shall we?

A:raw sizes are huge, in order to retain that resolution we would have encodes in excess of 233 megs.

B:using a resolution that high will put off some of the viewers that have slower computers, generally the higher the resolution the more CPU time it takes.

To answer the question: Yes we are using these raws. We decided to encode ours at 768x432 as opposed to Akeep's 704x396. We felt that with the raws available, we should retain as much resolution at the expense of file size. Personally, @ about 233 an episode and this series being 12~13 episodes this works out fine.

Then again, I'm not the encoder, but common sense tells me that these were the likely reasons. ^__^
