It still won't change the fact that one is meant to be lethal and one is meant as suppressive force. Punching someone in combat armor is still considered less severe than shooting someone in combat armor.

Generally, shooting a girl and guy has same connotation (screw you harem antic!). Whereas guy hitting a girl has worse connotation than girl hitting a guy, unless noted.

It's reversed in I.S., blunt force did worse damage both to the I.S. and pilot because momentum transfer, rather than entirely dependent on piercing the shield first.

Uh, no, because shooting and stabbing are both acts of aggression. Are you seriously telling me that people are stupid enough to believe that Shooting = Punching? Because that's not very applicable. Ask any person on the street and they'd say they prefer to be punched than shot.

I may stand corrected in a typical, unarmored POV. But when IS enters the field, I'll agree to Zero and say it depends on context of situation.

That's how the shield work, even in it sounds crazy. Just look at Laura's fight in canon, or golem.

Energy barrier dissipate force to entire body and act just like whipple shield, in this regard, bullet have less momentum than say, I.S. fist, and thus the total force received by the target is lesser thanks to PIC field as well. Bullets and other sharp implement however ALSO has shield piercing properties, and this is the reason why they're effective in draining batteries. With blade and bullets, the barrier has to constantly mend itself.

On the other hand, I.S. fist have little piercing value. Instead, they deliver concussive, low velocity impact, uninterrupted by PIC (inertia cancelling field diminish each other). The unit and the person under it is crushed by that force, while the barrier remains intact. This is also the case with Lingyin's cannon, when set at lower power.

I'd say that Touma and Ichika are bros - they are similar enough to each other without being copies. With a little creative mixing (and use of a good ol hammer), the two universes can be mixed together.

Amusingly, I follow old Minerva doctrine as well, then some.

By subverting Super Prototype. Maybe it's a game breaker unit, being the very first I.S. ever and personal handicraft of Tabane... but that was ten years ago, now it's both underpowered and outdated, and some of the bug had yet to be fixed during first deployment.

I'm like "Here's my OC, he's going to save the day with THE super prototype... not"
