You can find walkthroughs at gamefaqs.com, but some of the bad endings are actually pretty interesting, so I'd suggest you only use them if you are really stuck...

Follow it to the letter. Tsugumi is very fickle.

does anyone know how to get the voice files from the system configurations to work? I saved a lot of voice files from the special section of the game...but don't know how to activate them in the PC (you know, the whole "starting up the system" and "shutting the system" quotes)

LOL. Why doesn't anyone reads the game manual anyway? ROFL.

For Windows XP (retranslated from Russian, please be patient):

Go to "Control Panel" -> "Sounds & Audio Devices" -> "Sounds" tabsheet.

There's a list of system events. Just link the files you like (use preview button) and... that's all, dude.

After having Ever 17 on my shelf for sometime, I finally dusted it down and inserted it into my PC... and wow, what a ride. Poetically tragic yet beautiful, there was so many touching scenes in the game and the music, (read: Opening Theme) was so suited.

Spoiler:

But anyway, great game. Don't think I'll be forgetting any of it anytime soon.

I would have to disagree.
Friend of mine played through the Tsugumi path and got good ending in first play, even thought he went with Sora to that amusment park ...

or just decode the VFB, lol, since it's more readable and only requires a very little japanese basics, don't mention the choices are in same order as of the game.

I don't think there is anything wrong with following the guide because you will have to complete all arcs sooner or later, knowing which choice "pleases" which character gives insight on the character's personality; it is especially true with Tsugumi.

The only BE with acceptable cause-effect logic would be Takeshi's, and it is very heart breaking if you get there after Coco's ending.

Objectively speaking, more than one or two wrong answers will derail someone from Tsugumi's Path and put that someone on the Bad End. It takes many more wrong answers, in the vein of five or six, to get off of Sora's.

I picked this up at TRSI during their 20% off in-stock items sale. I haven't gotten a chance to look at it yet though.

Did they fix the CD replication issue, or do you still have to download the patch from Hirameki's website?

The game exe is crashed because of bug in the game script.

Say "thanks" to HIRAMEKI for THAT... for their lack of quality control...

The patch is not exists YET. However, it will be released at my site together with the russian translation in a few months (September-November of 2007th). So, please be patient.

Yeah, and the most of russian localization studios is a kamikaze.

---

You know something, i have an game rating system of my own (there's an Ever17 article on my site - it's on russian, so grab a *good* translator and read, if you wish of course. It's kinda fun. ) -- 8.5 of 10.

The only minuses is a BAD OST QUALITY (MS ADPCM 22050 4-bit) and lack of CGs (i've also found that one from Coco's path was never included into the game - only the dummy picture was left).

---

There's the words (from the article) that describes my humble opinion about this Game:

"At the first day of playing i couldn't sleep. But, when i was knocked off... awaken at the morning in a cold sweat, with the only thought in my mind: "Let me outta here! I can't breathe!"."

Ever17 was even TOO real and TOO tragical for my creative mind. It's sad that i'll never feel in the same way again.
