Yeah, i mean, how many tv series and anime isn't there where ppl fight/kill each other? So i think its just idiotic to blame an anime for it, they should know better then that...

The proportions of this incident are gigantic and beyond logic.
Frankly, I’m wondering what is the most severe/bizarre fact, you choose:

1. A show, named “Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai” is cancelled because its PREVIOUS season and its original game feature a girl wielding a cleaver. (skipping all the details about it is done because of some madness, how it is bad, how friends are helping each other, etc)
2. The victim was a policeman, physically absuing her daughter, the culprit. We can also add the peculiar fact the man was communicating with another woman.
3. The culprit used an AXE (how is it possible to begin with? I mean, how in the hell can you have such weapon in a house? even for fire incident, it is NOT something you would find anywhere else than with the firemen)
4. The mother and the rest didn’t give crap of the girl’s plea

I mean… well…? What is the more striking issue here? The so called “violent show”, or how the initial situation was already silly? (nope, not criticizing anything, but the relation with the series is so far fetched it is stupid…)

najica: huhu, glad to see that some people read my rants

motokoaoyama: there isn't any "death flag" from chiba TV. That said, there is still SUN TV, airing the very same airing time so, no issue about it. (both didn't announce anything, nor delaying episode 12 and even 13 so)

speaking of delay, what was more funny with Saitama is the utter lakc of logic behind the cancellation, because if it was so disturbing, why airing the episode 13?
*sigh* they are doing things in a weird fashion >_>

Yes, very strange decision from Saitama. I would think that Minagoroshi-hen is more bloody than the next arc, simply because of the title.

Ahh...so that girl killed her policeman father because he was abusing her AND he was communicating with another woman AND that the girl's pleas were ignored.

Isn't that more than enough reason to say that it wasn't higurashi that caused the murder, but rather the circumstances itself?

If Higurashi should be banned, what about those shows with real actors and lots of blood? They are more realistic than anime, so they should have a greater impact on the viewers' psychology anyway. Besides, exactly how bloody is Higurashi anyway...they didn't even show the watanagashi scene in minagoroshi-hen. There was no scream, no pulled out intestines, nothing but a splatter of blood (presumably, although it was so dark that you can hardly tell anyway)

a... ano... is it just me or are the new episodes after the delaying of episode 12 are being aired really fast? wasn't episode 14 just aired yesterday? does anyone have any clue when the next episode will be aired cuz they're not airing them on thursdays anymore...

let me summary what happened :

-usually they are indeed airing "thursdays", because Tokai TV was the first TV station to air them.
Howevever, the 20th september, Tokai TV cancelled altogether because of the Axe mruder accident.
it is only the monday 24th september that it is aired on SUN TV, since TV channel obviously don't air on the same scheldule

therefore, it isn't "faster", but it is rather "slower", as the whole deal has been delayed for 4 days.

thus, it is airing each monday, except if SUN TV and Chiba TV cease/delay the series.

Exactly. If Tokai TV never dropped it we'd be seeing episode 15 in 2 days. But they did and KBS Kyoto is an episode behind from delaying 12. So we have to wait 6 days to see episode 15.

i am pretty sure NHK Chiba TV will finish the episode
i guess that's the only tv station is playin higurahsi kai for now
the thing that really annoying me is that those media ppl can’t see the meanin from higurashi, all they think it’s a violent anime
I also hate the fact that most ppl don’t think about the story line and it’s meanin when they watch anime
Well I suppose higurashi has a deep meanin in it ╮(′～‵")╭
From last year in my school anime club when we played higurashi, we lost 1/3 of the member ( ´Д｀);;
I’ll try to persuade the member to watch kai (also explain the meanin to them) this year ( -ω-)／

Now that we know the pieces will last three episodes, here's my predictions how each episode will end.

Episode 16 will end with Irie questioning to dissect Satoko.
Episode 17 will end with Takano swearing revenge after meeting the mysterious woman.
Episode 18 will end with Rika saying "please help us" after the Akasaka sequence.

I look for few grammatical errors and accurate translations when I choose a fansub group.
