[ PS3/360/Wii U/PC] Batman: Arkham Origins

Batman: Arkham Origins announced

Quote:
Batman: Arkham Origins, for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC, has been announced as the cover of May’s Game Informer.

Developed by Warner Bros. Games Montreal, and not previous developers Rocksteady Studios, the game is set years prior to Arkham Asylum and Arkham City-a period when a younger Batman encounters a variety of villains for the first time.
The game will launch on October 25, 2013.

Prequel eh? Makes sense.~

I'm wondering how big the overworld will be this time. Arkham City was large but I'd love to be able to explore all of Gotham.

I'm wary of this only because Rockstar Games isn't making it.

Interesting, lack of Rocksteady is definitely worrisome, but as long as they don't change the game mechanics much it should still be a solid game.
But biggest question is will Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill return? Last time I heard Mark Hamill will not do Joker anymore, I am curious if he changed his mind.

Story is seven assassins coming after Batman. I would hope they don't shoehorn Joker into that, especially since Hamill said he won't be Joker outside of animated versions of classics like The Killing Joke.

Looks like it could be fun, especially if they create some interesting mysteries.

Can't say much, but possibly Warner Bros. Games Montreal is still getting some help from Rocksteady Studios.

I'm honestly thinking of passing on this. There's very little chance it will be as good as the first two games; studio changes never result in anything remotely positive.

I'm also a bit worried about the studio change on this. I mean why mess with a good thing when you know who can make the best game for this?

Still, will keep an eye on it. A prequel is a good idea. Some interesting character interactions will come and also will have a good reason for Batman not having many gadgets to start. Needs to actually invent them .

Personally, if there's anything involving the Joker in this game,
Spoiler for Year One:

So, we got a look at the game's map...

From what we've heard, the map contains Old Gotham (Arkham City), and New Gotham. I'd like to point out that long bridge.... possible Bat Mobile in this game?

Well, I don't know if Hamill will return or not as Joker, but I wonder how people would react if they got Deathstroke's VA from Teen Titans?
