...What are you talking about? I can turn my brain off and listen to a highly sophisticated show about the reason why diehydrogen oxide is in all food, and why it should be taken out.

That doesn't mean that just because it sound complicated, there isn't such a thing as over analyzing. I mean, take the Freudian Paper on Dr. Suess The Cat in the Hat.

It was stated that it would make everyone happy. If we accept magic works, then that means everyone will be happy, and won't be able to be anything but happy. Is there a reason to look deeper? Magic can affect peoples feelings quite obviously, so is it that hard to imagine everyone smiling happily even while being worked to death?

I always pegged it down as a magical brainwashing device.

Part of the fun of watching Index is to discuss and theorize the different magic, science and history... Something that has been sorely lacking. If we take that away, what's else can we talk about? I don't know about you, but I'm in no hurry to go back to the days of Railgun just yet...

I don't mind theorizing on different magics and such- I do object to pointing fingers at any one cause in history. It's always a myriad of causes that creates any one situation, and while people generally start out discussing, it quickly degrades into a mud slinging fest.

I never watched railgun -_- It was too shojou-ai for me...

Turning the brains off depends on the situation I think(?).

You take what you can get.

In any case I wasn't expecting this, I thought more people would start throw out facts about Saint Peter and everything...

About what?
Well, to some degree I hoped to see Peter vs Simon Magus, yeah, a fight between the top magician of Roma vs one of the 12 apostles.
Just by thinking that my imaginations starts to fly a lot.

It just that given the "Clear as mud" circumstances of the Cross, I thought more people would have questions regarding it...

Well, I know I didn't get a chance to watch the episode until about a week later due to the jam-packed holiday season. Moreover, I think this episode was one of the most straightforward of all episodes yet. So... No need for discussion?

But I think come episode 13, you'll have your discussions as more people (hopefully) watch the episode with no interruptions.
