I felt he's still bland in mine, his dark past is way more developed than his current self (in a bad way of course, still).
Maybe Gospel will be the starting point, allowing him to embrace the strength and the need of violence once again, but with pure heart and urge to protect instead of distilled wrath and revenge.

Nope, because he realized running away from violence is not a solution. As the real White Knight asked "Do you want a power?" which Ichika replied.... no, he has his strength, and proceed to mutate the damaged wings and arms into different kind of monstrosity. (Setsura has more function than Canon, the wings as well)

@ Eras
When they do their job according to the definition of hero of course. For example, Irish do the bomb defusing attempt due to his hatred for his boss, doesn't change the fact that what he did saved a lot of people. Selfish reason -> common benefit can be used most of the time. @ Strigon Yes, yes it is. (no alien abomination though )

He does make a pivotal choice in the chapter: Attack an Viktor in anger, or go down to help Joshua. Guess what the angry guy does
Can you give me any suggestions on a sadistic choice somewhat like that? I need some inspiration I'll be in class, responses will be sporadic.

When exactly I have "Sadistic choice" exactly? Even in Ran hostage situation (with a knife!) with Ichika and Dan was forced to surrender and took a beating, Ichika smirked as Rin already behind the bitch
(Yeah, I tried to avert that one trope as much as I can)

@ Rain - A choice that forces an anti-hero to choose what's more important: What he thinks is important, or what others do.
@ Senpai - Yet you make dark story's? Sadistic choices are part of a dark story Going to eat, so see you in an hour.

Does having an AI beg you to destroy them count as a sadistic choice? Considering they meet you in the form of a human and the alternatives are a) they are stuck in limbo neither fully dormant nor fully released or b) you activate them but the current, AI you're attatched to which is equally sentient, has a 90% chance of disappearing.
