What is all this speculation about 13? Wasn't it already explained that it's the class where all the special scholarship students are put under? Forgot which chap it was but it was pretty well explained.

I remember them saying somethng about scholarships, but I thought they were referring to how everyone of the swim team members had them, but I don't think they belonged to 13.

If it is just a special scholarship for super geniuses, well, I still have issues with that. Just because they are geniuses doesn't explain their super human abilities at all. :/

It's like the author wants to push geniuses as gods and regular people as useless characters not worth bothering with, and whose whole purpose is to serve these geniuses without question, when in the end, I find the regular people much more interestng.

Well there's are sports scholarships (think Forest Gump). Personally I don't have problem with a setting like this as manga live and breath on such things.

That'd be fine if there was an actual story and character growth to go with it. But there's too much focus on Medaka (and perfect beings can't really grow) and her strength and not enough on Zen (the character that everyone seems to like). Not to mention Medaka isn't a well liked character.

I'll have to admit I do enjoy this manga but it turned out quite what i was thinking it might, still interesting enough to keep me with it.
Then again not sure what the series was all about or where it was gonna head at all even now not sure for certain.
Well I'll be waiting for the next chapter to see what has happen but not eagerly awaiting.

:P To the contrary, I think this chapter's strength came from its focus on Unzen (another Medaka level 'perfect being'). Furthermore, I actually greatly prefer Medaka to Zenkichi; aside from his mediocre and rarely seen battle capacity, I'm not sure there's actually anything likable at all about him.

Anyway, I disagree with Kikaijima; Unzen is the cutest little brat ever. Those lines were pretty good, but personally the ending was the best part:

"Watchoo gonna do? Beg me saying 'stop, please'?"

No the chapter's strength was Unzen saying things about Medaka that are unlikable to us readers and most people prefer Zen over Medaka

And the girls' designs are much better, thus I can conclude that sooner or later the boys will all be abolished and the series will take place in an all-girl academy and turn into a yuri manga. My evidence, the recent success of chapter 12. Case closed.

Hahaha those were some pretty funny lines but my favorite was:
"If she's really one of the crazy fanatics, then I'm going to up the difficulty of this game to insane mode!!" Talk about an impossible setting.

Zens hair is weird...and for a bishie Akune's hair is pretty...blah, i don't like Medaka's too much either..for some one perfect her hair is rather messy.

It looks like she forcefully took out the balls, but was still caught in the explosion. Then there's an image of Unzen coughing up blood, so he probably gets his ass kicked.
