ya know... I'm starting to wonder if Kimihito's environ is actually quite suitable for monster species of every time to be there. I mean the streets are wide enough for centaurs to go on their daily run, bodies of water and there's the possibility that they'd be near the ocean, plenty of dark places for an arachne to be... well... a spider in, the forest is quite good for woodland based monsters to be in, the skyline is good for large birds, the town ain't really that cold... yet and finally there's the fact that a monster associated with the end of existence such as a dullahan would totally enjoy Kimihito being flung to the Sanzu river again and again and again (though in the latest raw, Lala kinda looks like she's tired of his shit).

I'm still up for scientists researching the girls such as knowing the crushing force of Miia or the tensile strength of Rachnee's threads (a spider's silk being said to be stronger than steel wire is one thing, an arachne's silk is another) but videotaping Papi laying aint since it would be favoring those who love monster girl pr0n

I'll have to see if I can find the old copy of the book of Japanese folklore I used in the late 90's as reference for my dnd campaign to give you the publishing info. But I find your coment about confusing a fictional source ironic considering the good wife version of the story comes primarily from the works of Lafcadio Hearn in the early 1900's and Hearn almost never faithfully recorded stories, and always worked them into something he thought was better.*So in other words fiction not folk tales.

He did used some artistic licence, but didn't make that story up. Plus it's pretty much only version of Yuki onna that shows genuine romantic interest in human instead if indiscriminate killing (...or begging for water... or just disappearing in thin air...or actually any non-romantic stuff this Youkai does occasionally)
