I heard of this guy who was in Japan, and he watched nothing but Japanese tv all day every day for like 2 weeks or something, and he somehow became fluent in Japanese and spoke Japanese with a perfect Japanese accent. But I don't know if he was an otaku/watching anime, and I think he was a frikkin genius, anyway. Haha.
