I stopped watching at the point where Sai started to help naruto out (to find sasuke) and (someone) is tied outside (by kabuto? was it?).

What episode was that? And does anyone know what episodes are actually worth watching to catch me up to date?

that was episode 49.
And assuming you want to know which episodes are not filler: watch up to episode 56, then jump to the last 10 minutes or so of 71, watch up to episode 89, then jump to episode 113.
You may also want to watch the scenes that involve Akatsuki in episode 112, as they are canon.

Is there any definite info on the alive/dead status of Rin and Naruto's mom? I'm really curious about these two.

It was never mentioned/confirmed about Naruto's mom; all that is implied about her is that she was beautiful and strong, and her death is implicit in the fact that Naruto grew up alone as an orphan. That doesn't necessarily mean that she isn't elsewhere, where she's been for the last 16 years.

As for Rin, I think her death is implied in Kakashi's statements, when he says that all his friends are dead and also in the manga when

i thought both naruto's parents died fighting the nine tail beast... i remember they were both standing over some trees infront of the beast.


Btw i have a question.... did shiki mention if he was about to finish or had a final ending for naruto? or after new bad guys are going to keep appearing and we will see grandpa naruto getting knocked out by grandma sakura (?)

Sooo I was board nd I started thinking bout why the uchihas who achieve mangekyou have to take their bro's eyes in order to not go blind and all. If both the uchihas already have mangekyou then why don't they just trade the eyes? I mean that seems smarter jus sayin.
