Yes to both question. 1. The price is obviously better since HLJ is base in Japan. You still have to pay shipping but if you do mulit-item orders then the shipping spreads around and it will cost less per Figure. 2. Reliable, It is located in japan so what they are selling are not Bootlegs but the real thing and not bootlegs. Which you can't be sure of if you buy form a story in the US or on Ebay. 3. Since they are closer to the source, your pre-orders are more likely to get fill then with a company in the US. EX: http://www.hlj.com/product/ORC60008 The White Ignis has limited Run of 2000 figures. who do you think is more likely to fill you order. HLJ or your local hobby shop? 4. The site is in english and base in Japan.

De only thing I don't like about HLJ is that they're sometimes slow with pics
US based shops mostly carry the popular titles and I'm still paying VAT over the item and shipping -which is more costly than SAL from Japan- ordering there and being in Europe most shops that have a large catalog try to screw me over 100% profit (example: Kanu HLJ -vs- Kanu Belgium) So far HLJ hasn't let me down yet

oh wow! had a browse around on there, the shipping prices dont rape your wallet/credtcard so much as other places!
one thing though... why is it that almost everything i look at/interested in buying seem to be out of stock? especially all the good quality max factory stuff

PVCs aren't as bad as my artbooks (unless ur getting something large than those 1/7th scale). Those are terrible expensive if you're ordering from Jp Amazon. They don't offer standard shipping cause it has no tracking, so you have to get premium service now. My 2 artbooks added up to about 4300yen plus like 3100 yen shipping.

I had some great experiences with HLJ also - even when ordering from Japan also - and they have been very helpful. Prices... Well, they are essentially the MSRPs, so you don't normally get the discounts you might get from an actual store or Amazon.jp, but sometimes, it can't be helped, IMHO. Amazon's listings are almost always in Japanese, for one thing. /me needs to take some photos of the B-Club "Lunamaria Hawke" polystone figure...

Ugh. I think I just saw a record in discontinued goods, though it doesn't surprise me now that I think about it. Yujin's Suigintou figure was released this month and is already gone. I wonder exactly how many were actually made - it does say "Limited Edition". Phooey. I wanted something darker-looking for my collection. Now I have to scour other sites and eBay.

Got this PVC, took me a while to find it. It's rather low in quantity ^_^.
Plus it has such a sexy pose too, lots of lingerie too ^_^ (well no garter and such, frills, etc) . You can never find a PVC like this, the pose is different from the usuals, and they don't really come with clothings as revealing as hers
