Episode 18 was very disappointing. The war is nowhere as intense and violent as it was in the manga. Censorship is a problem, but it's not the only issue. The animation and the music were subpar as well. They had been doing a great job until then with this season but they really dropped the ball here.

Hopefully the next one will be better.

I haven't read the manga yet but I agree that this episode was disappointing. The "war" doesn't feel intense at all since the whole episode was pretty much a small fight scene followed by Scheherazade and Mogamett's bickering and goal exposition...then rinse and repeat until the end.

I had such great hopes for this episode too..

My favorite used to be Morgianna, but I've been more into Kougyoku since the second season. She's a very nice and cute person.

For guys, it's Alibaba. A shame some of my favorite scenes of his won't be animated this season.

I don't like Aladdin, in most shounens I don't care about the main character and this one is no exception. I do like Morgiana, Alibaba and Kougyoku though.

Finally. Been waiting since episode 1 for Aladdin to start pulling his weight as a Magi, and this time he's done it. Magnificently.

Edit: That said, there was enough foreshadowing in this episode (Mu blatantly stating that it takes Djinn Equip to beat a Magi's borg) to make me believe that Mu will beat Aladdin next episode. Magi or not, don't think he can handle a Djinn Equipped Fanalis.

That's what I predicted as well. All the more reason for Alibaba to interfere despite his current position as Leam's soldier. This will make a very epic entrance for his newly acquired Djinn Equip. However, I don't think Alibaba will be capable of matching Mu's skill as he's much more powerful than Alibaba.

Seems like a given that Aladdin will have a problem and Alibaba will appear to help his friend out showing off his newly learned djinn equip (which he has to have figured out by now...).

Of course makes sense. The attack can't work if Aladdin is holding the line and keeping the two sides apart. The only one who can reasonably stand up against him would be Mu using his Djinn Equip. It's a perfectly good chance for Alibaba to get involved. He might be an outsider, but his friend is in trouble and that's reason enough for him to get involved.

This anime's quality certainly improved.
It's gotten more serious and a lot more interesting.
Those red haired soldiers were quite resilient.
Who knew they had magical weapons too.
Aladdin finally blew his cover.
Damn, that was one epic cover blowing O.O
He really came through for Magnoshutatt.

That was definitely better than last week's episode. The three Fanalis' onslaught with their metal/household vessel and Aladdin's demonstration of a magi's true powers were great. Aladdin may be naive, but he actually has the skills to back up his words.

Kurogane is reporting that the anime will be doing the "Alma Toran" Arc. So is that a confirm for a 3rd season or they going to wrap that up in like the last 4 episodes?
