Referred from a track in Metal Gear Solid: the Best is Yet to Come. There's probably plenty of more where that came from. Looking forward all the others, I'll be expecting blood loss and possible anemia in the future...

So the large energy sword that Eclair summons and Noir's tails (yes, those tentacle-like things come from her tail) are actually Bright Power Gear (Kiryoku Busou). Looks like an interesting variation on the standard gear for whatever battles may come ahead.

Also, the demon from last season gets a flashback, though how it relates to Noir's conversation about her relationship to the Secret Squad I didn't quite get. Need subs to know what they're talking about on that department.

Talk to Crunchyroll. The only subs I've seen that translate it that way are from folks who just directly copy whatever CR used.

You have to take the kanji into account. It may sound like 気力, but it's spelled (in all sources related to the show) 輝力, with the 輝 meaning brightness, shininess, luminescence, etc. The "Bright Power" translation is correct.

DOG DAYS' 04 - Awaken That Soul!

What I like about having three human heroes is that it effectively gives us a window into the other cultures. We spent so much time in Biscotti last season, but now we can learn about Galette and Pastillage culture too. As expected from Cou and company, magic research is pretty central to their society. The whole scene with Gaul, and contrasting it with Leo a few minutes later, was also pretty fun. When Gaul does become the lion king one day, he may just have to let Galette's hero pet him. It's standard procedure at this point.

Also, pretty impressed at the various uses for energy they're finding here. Noir's Cat-O-Seven-Tails and the double energy swords were pretty awesome. Sort of makes me wonder what the rest of Genoise can do. (And if Pastillage is even capable of it. The energy seems to be intrinsic. but maybe they put so much effort into air power that it's not needed.) Hope the rest of Genoise get their time in the spotlight, and with the next episode focusing on Galette, they just may. Nice world and character building going on here.
